O/T: Somewhere these must exist 1982 tapes of when Vanessa had both the Copper Lantern restaurant and the Wired For Sound disco. I distinctly remember both Loverboy and Judy Collins guest starring. Collins sang the terrific "It's Gonna Be One Of Those Nights."
OH my gosh, I remember Lesley Ann! Wow, let's see, I must have been 11 then. How weird. Thanks for posting these! I wish I could get the entire soap, now that it is gone, on DVD.
I don't remember these episodes as much as I do the 1983/1984 episodes...Josh was introduced in 1981 as a black sheep of the Lewis oil family and in reading about the show I learned through the various books he was quite the bad guy...like Ross Marler was at first. Each character took their turn at Amanda Spaulding, too. Not only would they be shocked at how Josh was prior to Reva being introduced but they'd probably cringe in horror at Josh willfully sleeping with Carrie Todd, just for kicks.
Have you heard anything about getting Dinae ballard murder mystery footage? If only VCRs were commonplace back then. I KNOW that I would have had the wherewithall to tape it back then...
I would love to see the Diane Ballard murder trial again...Marland delved so deeply into Carrie's psyche, it was easy to believe that she had MPD later...
Wow! I was a huge Hillary and Jim (Jim was Tony's brother later on) and Tony and Annabelle fan - so to see these clips of Hillary and Tony planning a date cracks me up. Of course at the time I was 10yrs old so I didn't remember much.
I wish that someone had most/all of the Diane Ballard murder mystery/Carrie's trial/Carrie's multiple personalities...but as I said before, VCRs were not common then...
We are near the end of the time of head writer Douglas Marland. He and the producer had HUGE problems when the producer didn't think the Carrie story got the show high enough ratings. Two things-the show is airing against the height of General Hospital Luke and Laura AND Marland and Jane Elliot were great friends. Marland reluctantly wrote Carrie out and then he quit. Within weeks the show became a terrible mess with Mark Pinter's character turning into a secret homicidal maniac. It wasn't pretty.
that's funny..!! I used to love Carrie for the same reason...Her lines were hilarious..I used to laugh just thinking about the things she would say ...
Josh was an a-hole in his early years, but hurricane Reva came and it was like he was a totally different person, a goody two shoes to be exact. How one woman can change your whole life. I wonder was it when Reva married Billy that made him this way?
@sebastainknight LOL never mind i see a post answers the question i remember a lot of these vids casue we all lok at GL and ATWT all us kids baseball time was over after 12 noon...lol
That wasn’t Kim Zimmer. That was Carolyn Ann Clark. The character was actually named Lesley Ann Monroe, but Josh knew her in Tulsa. He called her Candy because that was her stripper/hooker name back in Tulsa: Candy Stripper.
