u should try the redux, it's a 1 stage map that combines the best of all stages while getting rid of most if not all of the garbage
Since this map is called cactus canyon, the bomb should just be a cart full of cacti. When the train hits the cart needles fly everywhere and insta-kill everybody that gets hit by them.
This would be hilarious.
PixelChaos The map is already unique but the fact the bomb is blown up by a train really does not help blue much, but that would be much cooler, but it only kills red and it has the explosion radius of like a regular bomb or maybe a little bigger.
The fact that that BLU spawn is RIGHT in front of last point doesnt help RED. Bomb getting hit by the train makes if fair enough.

I find the lack of cacti on a map called "Cactus Canyon" disturbing...
There's a spot outside of the map with rocks where a cactus is added every change to a map. However, the latest update instead had a cactus behind the 1st cap point of stage 1. Also names don't really mater when we got maps like badwater with no water

I've been thinking about a stupid thing for Jerma and STAR_ to do for a bit now, and I've come up with something with my other friend, Mattiko.
It's called the DemoBarnacle. What you would do, is equip the Sticky Jumper, Loch n' Load, and the Eyelander.
The interesting part of it is that you can only move using the sticky jumper, and wherever you land, you stay there, until either you die, or the round ends.
I've found that it works best on High tower, Thunder Mountain, and Double Cross.

I always wondered what a reflected sentry rocket looked like from the receiving end. :)
What I love is the distance between the sentry shooting its rockets is enough to kill the engineer if you reflect right back at him.
Hmmm... I think this map is for the End of the Line update. I'm not entirely sure, but it kinda looks like it to me, despite it being a community update.
Because we know it has to do with a train of some sorts... maybe BLU is trying to stop RED from delivering these goods.

I LOVE these kinds of comms, where it flows really well and is longer. I don't care for the more edited ones with goofy random stuff as much as these legitimate gameplays.

I love auto reload for soldier and demoman, but I play a lot of scout and have to take it off for that. There's a brief second of time during the scouts reload animation where you can't shoot. So if you're reloading after every single shot it can be a pain in the ass.

Actually there are a few cacti on stage one I think. Off to the right of Blu spawn, down below the cliff. You basically have to be looking away from the action to notice them.

That has to be the most clever version of payload. Red team can push the cart back at the last cap, and the train needs to hit the bomb for Blu to win. It all comes back to trains in the end.

What kind of config do Jerma and STAR_ use? The Pyro's plastics aren't shining, nor is the metal. I''d like to know for better performance actually.
Either the FPS Config (not likely) or mat_phong 0, which is a console command. Anything beyond that is out of my memory.
"Mat_phong 0" is the command to turn off the shininess. It does help performance and it just looks nicer (Well, Australiums get messed up a bit, but nothing major).

this Train's bigger than the EOTL map one. Besides, they might want to use a custom model, and importing this train as a placeholder rather than a really blocky thing would probably be unnecessary effort.
Lord Matt of Space The train used on snowplow is different in many ways, It gives you the ability to be carried to the next point and many other things while the big train there is simple to crush people. It's the same as the platform trains that you see in cp_freight

I enjoy the HUD for its simplicity and how it shows your character at the bottom left. Also a lot of custom Huss look incomplete to

How the hell can you stand using modded HUD's they all look like shit.
Ray's HUD is best HUD; lets you switch between scoreboards. Simpler than default and still shows your cosmetics on the avatar in the lower left.

If this is the End of the Line map, I have a feeling the train is supposed to hit the cart, it won't cap until that point, and being near the cart at that point will move it backwards, so it becomes a tug of war timing thing

Nice design on the second part, that last point may be interesting, as Blu can hold the last for a long time, but as long as Red can knock them away before the train comes, it keeps going!
Also, blow up the train!? End of the Line anyone?! I can just feel it in my bones that when they release the map, it's going to be re textured to a snow map and change name to confuse and surprise!
