You know, back in the days, this kind of thing was actually more 'progressive' than it is today.
There was a time where one could simply state "I'm this or that" and it had to be accepted.
It's where the memes of "I identify as an attack helicopter" comes from.
The fact that you (and so many) add 'trans' to it, to me, is a step backwards.
Either you're a man or a woman, if you add any sort of qualifier to it that does not immediately pertain to an ailment or something like "I'm a woman who can't have children due to cancer" or whatever, then that signals to me that it's a sham.
And to be ultrahonest, you know, there's this expression "gay for pay" I think many many many 'trans' people are TFT, trans for trolling. There's a degree of law IRL that punishes 'transphobia' as well as countless online codes of conduct, and there's nothing keeping anyone from wanting to get people into trouble by being as obnoxious and so forth as possible.
Not saying you're one of those, but I think overall, if there really is a movement, then it has gone backwards. I personally have yet to see any 'trans' anything IRL, in 3d, without the makeup and camera tricks to see anyone truly 'pass', so to me the entire thing is a non-thing to begin with, but if we trulyl accept the whole notion of all the stuff behind it as real.
Then, it totally regressed and it went from "you have to accept people who identify as what they say" without any qualifiers to "I'm a trans woman/man"
Back then you could look like the stereotypical gigachad, claimed to be a woman, and that had to be accepted, or else you risked trouble.
Nowdays, yeah, the 'trans' prefix is everywhere. Ah well, not my problem.
