About Kaala Patthar :
When disaster strikes, three men stand up to fight for the coal miners. Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) a disgraced ex-naval officer is now working in the coal mine. Ravi (Shashi Kapoor) is an engineer in charge of the doomed project. Mangal (Shatrughan Sinha) is an escaped convict who finds shelter at the coal mine. What an iconic scene! I still remember the pin drop silence n the bated breath with which people in the packed cinema hall exhibiting Kala Patthar(1979) would watch the Bachchan- Shatru encounters. Also, instantly comes to my mind the goosebumps triggering encounters of Vinod Khanna n Shatrughan in Mere Apne(1971) when both of them were 24. Proud of these actors!!
