Yes, Teletubbies was my jam as a kid. It's crazy that I never questioned four colourful beings with light up stomachs, a sun child, or a vacuum cleaner.

Well... Nothing they say about it is wrong. He did indeed break the fourth wall and talk to the moon and a spontaneous shadow.
But it's probably because it managed to be so calming and wholesome that it's #10 on the list. And "strange" doesn't mean "bad".

I think they did cover the birth thing once. d dad is outside the delivery room and then mom comes standing next to him asking what is going on and he says 'your having a baby!' and then cow is given to them.

The craze for Teletubbies was real. There was such a rush on the toys that where I was from you could only buy one each. My entire family went to the store and had to pretend to not know each other in order to get enough for extended family.
I literally knew the teletubbies dance I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and started dancing Before I knew it I had an audience lmfaooooo . I was obsessed with that show
I remember when BK had the Teletubbies toys. They would sell out almost instantly
Simon Cowell helped the Teletubbies make their song that went all the way to Number 1 in 1997

it does not seem as much of a fever dream as the boobah's lol, people in costumes interacting with the audience and interacting with other actors with puppets was not that weird.
Brush Brush Bree is the catchiest song in Bear in Big Blue House, It made me actually start dancing, You just have to dance instinctively

This could have easily been made into a top 20. Back in the mid 90s, I remember watching shows like Wimzie's House, Dudley the Dragon, The Crayon Box, Timmy the Tooth, The Noddy Shop, Theodore Tugboat, The Puzzle Place, The Big Comfy Couch, etc., and I frequently question whether or not I dreamed them because they don't even feel real anymore.

I Really thought that Lazytown would be mentioned. As memable as that show is nowadays thanks to Robbie Rotten, The Puppet characters look pretty freaky and uncanny in retrospect.

I was crazy obsessed with Teletubbies growing up. I had a small Po plush toy around that time, and my parents even made a Teletubbies themed birthday card that was shown on TVO kids. I can’t remember if I still have the Po plush or not.

I loved Miss Spider. I was an adult but it was one show that was allowed during free time during my child care days. My son loved Bananas in Pajamas. Wow, they sure pumped out some crazy crap for kids!
For the spider one; I have had this memory of some animated spiders in my brain for years that I couldn't place. I actually started to believe it was a fever dream until I saw this video lol.

My girls loved Bounce, the bedbug. I taught myself the phrase "Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite" in French (for some reasons my older daughter loved French) but instead of bedbugs I said Bounce. My older daughter is 20 & in college, and sometimes I'll text her the whole bit.

I always felt like part of something feeling like a fever dream was that it was so forgotten by the general populace that you feel like you're the only one who remembers it, which adds to the weirdness factor. You feel like you could have dreamed up the whole thing, and it's not until someone else remembers it that you no longer feel like you've completely lost your mind.
As weird as these shows are, they're all pretty mainstream. Although I'm 100% sure people saw the honorable mentions and said WOW, I CAN'T BELIEVE SOMEONE ELSE ACTUALLY REMEMBERS THIS SHOW!

I laughed through whole video and couldn't believe i actually watched most of it and i wasn't questioning any of its weirdness in these 'kids shows'
8:47, Actually, Angela Anaconda first debuted as 2 cartoon shorts on the 90's Nickelodeon show "Kablam". The Kablam episodes that feature the shorts are "Untitled" and "Comics of Champions". The characters in the original shorts do however look differently then their TV series counterparts.
Can't believe you didn't mention "In the Night Garden" or "Waybuloo" I loved both of those shows as a kid, they were both crazy fever dreams!

I'm surprised KaBlam! from Nickelodeon (1996-2000) didn't make Honorable Mention. So many different bizzare fact-paced cartoons of every different animation style all in one half-hour show would be like a fever dream to me.
Bear in the Big Blue House was probably one of the warmest part of my childhood no question at all, I don't care what anyone says that show will always have a fond memory in my heart!!
My mom had bought a couple Teletubbies VHS tapes at the thrift store when I was little. I insisted on playing them multiple times as a toddler/young kid. My mom has bad flashback to this day from having to listen to them in the background all the time. When going through my late grandmother's diaries (she often babysat me) there was one weary entry that went like "Babysat my granddaughter again today; I have not yet turned into a Teletubbie but I think it's coming..." Yeah, idk why I was so obsessed....

Allow me to mention 3-2-1 Penguins! It was a Christian kid's show from the makers of Veggietales, and it was about a brother and sister who have a bunch of adventures with four penguins named Zidgel, Midgel, Fidgel, and Kevin in a spaceship. The villain was an evil hamster in a robot suit.
For us older folks, 40+, childhood fever dream television shows were a bit more wild and disturbing. They were the building blocks for the above mentioned programs. Any show created by Sid and Marty Krofft was our main Saturday morning drug of choice. Look up shows like H R Puffinstuff, the Bugaloos, Dr. Shrinker, Wonderbug, and Land of the Lost. Besides the Krofft shows, we also tripped out to shows like The Electric Company, The Banana Splits, Pac-Man, and Wally Gator.
Now You Are Talking. How about New Zoo Revue? Big Blue Marble. In Chicago, I used to watch Giggle Snort Hotel.

When i was young, i was obsessed with British/American claymation like Timmy Time, The Koala Brothers, Pingu, Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder, The Rubberdubbers, and others like Barney, Thomas the Train, and a channel called Sprout (which is now Universal Kids) and it had shows like. Chicka Chick, The Goodnight Show, Bear in the Big Blue House, The Berenstein Bears, Justin Time, Space Racers, Pajamanials, Noodle and Doodle, and Noddy in Toyland

"Bananas in Pyjamas" was super popular in the Philippines during the '90's, which aired in the mornings and voiced over in the local language
I watch almost all of these and this list proves that I have a very wired childhood but after seeing new kids watch UA-cam these days, I have not regretted a single things watch these shows everyday
I remember Boohbah from when it showed on PBS Kids. I loved how funny their names were and how they moved. It was clear that the "dancing adults in fluffy costumes" really had a lot of fun acting like 6-10 year olds hopped up on pixy stix.
I remember watching Teletubbies on PBS Kids, and I was so excited to see Them again on Nick Jr.!❤️📺🎶👍🏻🌈

The only reason Teletubbies was my go-to show in the 1990’s when I was born in 1998 was but one thing and one thing only: the Magic Windmill. In fact, many Teletubbies fans are obsessed with the Windmill along with the Voice Trumpets, the speakers that come out of the grounds of Teletubbyland either in the Teletubbies own house or outside. Of the two though, the Magic Windmill ultimately takes the cake. There are a lot of compilation videos and even custom-made Windmill clips on UA-cam.
I can't believe Lamb Chop isn't on the list. The song that never ends is nightmare fuel when it gets stuck in your head 😵💫😬

I’m a little sad Sagwa the Siamese Chinese Cat isn’t part of the list, but I can definitely understand given the ones that did make it. Having a Dinosaurs VHS tape was definitely one of the weirder things we had growing up, and was my only proof it actually existed until I found the series on the internet again.

Boobah always played while I was at school, so the only time I ever saw it was when I was home sick. I genuinely believed for the longest time that it was a childhood fever dream.

When an art therapist left my mental health program I suggested playing the extended version of the Bear in the Big Blue House goodbye song. My friend looked at it and said that it looked like an acid trip. Orange bears, purple otters, a blue mouse, a green lemur and a talking moon. Fair assessment.

The original Bananas in Pyjamas was a staple of Aussie TV for kids growing up in the 90's to earlier 00's and the same for Pingu.
A few others thay deserve honourable mentions on this list are; Potatoes & Dragons, Street Sharks and Round the Twist.
Round the Twist especially; and don't forget Lift-Off. Both those shows featured radio personality Mark Mitchell playing a villain from Mr Gribble (second season onwards) to Mr Fish.

I remember Bear in the Big Blue House fondly, it was a highlight of my afternoons. And as an adult, I still love Biker Mice from Mars. Maybe it came across as a fever dream, but it was a nice escape from the realities of my childhood.
