Fr. I don't begrudge anyone their meds, but my fragile neurochemistry turns me into a psycho if I take a stimulant stronger than caffeine. So it's all mindfulness training and CBT for me!

Kind of the same, but not really?... I realized that I might have ADHD in my early 30's but I have been receiving professional help and sometimes medication for clinical depression and anxiety disorder since my mid 20's... my psychiatrist is monitoring my ADHD suspicion. we'll see...

I have to admire your determination to not go on meds. I might not be here if I wasn’t on them. There’s only so many times you can fall off the horse but a chemical imbalance can be managed and the falls aren’t so great and get easier to pick yourself up from.
I wasn’t on meds for 29 years of my life. It wasn’t working so great so I think I earned them lol.

Re. the "how to finish a song" question: A big thing a lot of people will get hung up on is making something "perfect". Ironing out every single corner so that no one can pick apart any flaw. I'm a pretty firm believer in the old adage of "perfection is the antithesis of done". You're not going to make something perfect, not everyone is going to like what you make, and those things that some may dislike may be something that draws someone else to your music. I'm sure if I sent you my music for one of your review videos, you'd probably roast the fuck out of it for being "noisy and sloppy", whereas people have also told me they were drawn to it being "raw and abrasive". They're basically the same thing, just different perspectives.
There's nothing wrong with applying polish to something, but at a certain point you need to stick a stake in the ground. If you have to, set a timeline. After a certain point, make the call of "I'm not fucking with this anymore". That goes for writing, arrangement, recording, mixing, mastering. Imperfection is human. Let your shit be human.
