This is a review of a futon/sofa bed/pull out couch that I bought from Amazon. It is mustard yellow/ gold and I really enjoy it. You can get it here:

It is a great addition to a small apartment or dorm.

There are zippers on the back part that open and there are extra legs that fold down for extra support for when you open it into a bed

I just got mine and was wondering if a single person alone could put together. I don't have anyone to help me.

I put mine together alone. It took me about three hours because I got tired and took breaks lol but it is not hard. Just tedious.

firm, I like firm. Does it look like it'll last longer than two years?

Yes. Although it is cheap it is well made. I believe it will last a long time as long as kids don’t jump on it etc.
