You have easily been my biggest player inspiration in PM. Your Roy was and will always be my favorite. Thank you to everything you've done for pioneering the character and paving the road for so many future Roys to come. Hopefully someday we'll see a triumphant return of our boy?? ;D

I put a lot of fore-planning into my combo vids, and perfect music is really hard to find. I really like the MGS:R soundtrack, with or without vocals, but either alone wasn't dynamic enough for what I was looking for. Your mix with the opening and the build up for vocals in the second verse was a perfect way to use the music and add some dynamics to the song that I could play with. ^_^

hopefully 4 years from now we see one of these for smash 4 ;) in all seriousness this was amazing. as someone who has watched you since first picking up comepetive smash it's like walking down memory lane. tbh idk if it was intentional but this video feels like an end of a era type of thing...
+Sethlon That is what's so great about a Blazing Inferno. It doesn't burn forever, but you'll always remember how bright it burned and how spectacular it was to watch even into the dark hours of the night.
I still think back to that last clip with M2K and get salty from his cancel, but it was well played.
Seth, your a monster. Even though you might slow down for a bit in comp, I'd love to hear you do commentary or more of your sensei series. Keep it real, and thanks for reppin' our boy.

is there a reason you didn't include any matches from Apex or MLG? I mean you fighting Mango, Westballz, ZeRo, Ally, and everyone else are mysteriously absent.
+Ghetto Ninja The very last clip is from me vs M2k at Apex. And by MLG I assume you mean WHOBO? MLG never featured PM at one of their events. I also used a clip of me vs Mango in the credits.
But as for the reason why I didn't use more footage from those, its twofold; one, its from a pretty old version of PM...a lot of Roy's hitboxes and sweetspots were pretty different and changed the way you could use them (uair, especially). The other is that I was still really coming into my own as a player back then; my play wasn't quite as refined as most of my 3.5 footage.

When I started playing roy, i didnt know who to choose as a main. But then i saw sethlon play roy and that was it, I knew who my main was. TY Sethlon for your inspiration!

I think it's safe to say you and Neo were like the best Roy players back in the day for Melee (do we count Simna?) but that level of skill transfered over in PM so much that you were unstoppable in most sets. I know you don't play PM (or at least Roy in PM) much anymore, but it was quite awesome watching you play even from Melee up until the end.

Hey Sethlon, I love what you've been doing over the years with Roy and I'm starting to get more and more serious playing him as a secondary character in melee. I noticed in this video and Ashes to Ashes that you used counter and up-smash out of shield to break up shield pressure. How did you use counter and up-smash out of shield so quickly? Did you quickly wavedash in place and then use the move, or is there a trick to it that I just don't know? Thanks!
+Rob Jump cancelling! From shield you can go directly into jump, and you can cancel jump squat frames into upsmash. For counter you have to finish jump squat frames and technically be airborne, but if you counter early enough in the air Roy's momentum gets cancelled and it looks like you never left the ground.
Neither of those options are ones that should be your go-to for people trying to pressure you, but they're nice tricks that can beat certain types of shield pressure.
