Actually, cakra khan is one the best indonesian pro singer. He has album and singles. And recently had concert in malaysia. He started to cover song on pandemic. He always make the song like his own, give his emotional on the song.

Great vocalist. Clearly very experienced and versatile. Riff Master! Lovely warm engaging tone. Pls. explore more of Cakra's work. Also... the rasp, I just don't know... I'm a singer and at times I can feel my own throat kinda tightening up when I hear his rasp! Is that weird? Sounds {or feels } 'not quite right' somehow, but I'm no expert. I assume he's doing it in a safe and healthy way? Otherwise you've have commented on it - yes?

I'm a shower/car singer--no training but always enjoyed it. Friends and family have told me for years that I sing above my range, but tenors and above are all I hear on the radio, I guess. I just imitate what I hear... plus, I understand nothing about singing, lol. Even simple ideas like, "You can sing the same song a couple octaves lower and it still sounds good," lol. I love your commentary along the way, and I like hearing the bass, which, it turns out, is much easier on my vocal cords.

Peter, I especially appreciated your analysis of Cakra's riff on the word "high," that you characterized as bluesy. I'm no expert, but I thought in that riff he didn't "resolve" at the end. For the minute 14:40s.. the scale you're looking for is Minor Pentatonic Scale from it's Key..
Let say the key is C Major, then the scale you're looking for is C Minor Pentatonic Scale.. it's pretty common if you're a guitarist like myself to use something like that for a bluesy song like this..
