True biblical modesty means to be humble in how you carry yourself and treat others. How you choose to dress is something else and a personal choice. As a Christian, it's important to be sensitive to any convictions YOU personally have about what you wear or don't wear, however this is between YOU and God. If you wear something that YOU believe God told you personally not to wear, that is between YOU and God. Everything else is basic common sense and none of this is a salvation issue so it's really not that important in the grand scheme of things. As Christians we have bigger fish to fry instead of attacking and dividing each other over clothing. Paul talks about this same pattern in the early church. Fighting over things that are grey areas when the black and white stuff are what we should be focusing on. I refuse to engage in this topic anymore, it's just not edifying. I've said my piece, whether you want to take it or leave it, and if you want to continue to argue amongst yourselves or continue to insist that I'm wrong or need correcting, that's your choice, I wish everyone well. Tbh I would have to disagree with your opinion. The bible speaks a lot about modestly and the way we should dress, it is not just about your feelings but about others around you as well”loving your neighbour as yourself”. It’s okay to admit that at this time we are lukewarm but to try to change God word to fit your narrative of life is just not it. We are also to judge one another in love and not in spite/hate; cause at the end of the day we need each other to become perfect for God ❤️… I advise that you actually take the time to read and study the bible if you want to get deeper with God and to fully understand him ( I know it’s hard lol 😂 😭)
Amina, let’s dive deeper into this. The reason things like indecent dressing aren’t explicitly mentioned in the Bible is that, in the times of Paul, it wasn’t even a cultural issue. Modesty was woven into the very fabric of society. Women dressed in a manner that reflected the values of their time, whether they followed Christ or not. The idea of wearing revealing clothing wasn’t something that crossed their minds-it simply wasn’t part of their tradition or upbringing. Similarly, the Bible doesn’t address secular music or movies directly, because they weren’t part of the cultural or technological reality of that era. The people of that time weren’t engaged in activities that promote the kind of entertainment we see today. Now, I want you to think about something: if Paul were alive in today’s world, do you honestly believe he would have remained silent on these matters? Paul was never one to shy away from addressing issues that affected the spiritual health and moral compass of the people. If he were living in our time, faced with the modern challenges we deal with-like indecent dressing, the influence of secular media, and the rise of materialism-there’s no doubt he would have spoken out against it, just as he addressed issues like sexual immorality, idolatry, and greed in his day. His focus was always on living in a way that honors God, and that certainly would include addressing how we present ourselves and the kinds of things we consume. Also, someone in the comments made a critical point: it’s not just about whether something is righteous or sinful, but whether it’s wise or foolish. If we ask ourselves whether the choices we make are wise, whether they glorify God or promote self-centeredness, many of these discussions would be unnecessary. Wisdom is a key principle in living a godly life, and it’s often through wisdom that we avoid falling into sin in the first place.
Hello Amina, I’ve been following you for a while and have come to admire you deeply, especially since Natalia was around 14 or 15. Over the years, I’ve grown to love how you openly express your love and commitment to Jesus Christ. I know that when you declare yourself a woman of God, there will always be people waiting for you to stumble or fail-just as they did with Jesus. The Bible shows us that people constantly tried to find faults in Him. I noticed a comment you made about those who criticized you, mentioning that many had their cleavage exposed. It's true that those who are quick to judge often have their own flaws-such is the nature of the flesh. But I want to remind you that, as you walk with God, there comes a point where you must die to your flesh, not to please people but to honor Jesus. As children of God, we are called to be set apart, to live lives that reflect His holiness. It is true that Modesty is not merely about what we wear; it’s a reflection of a pure heart and a deep reverence for God. While it is true that some people who dress modestly are not necessarily godly, that does not redefine what modesty in Christ should be. True modesty is an outward expression of an inward commitment to live a life pleasing to God in every way. Regarding your outfit, particularly the length of your skirt, I believe it wasn’t the most appropriate choice for a church setting. It’s an outfit that some might wear to a club, so it raises the question-why should there be no distinction between someone attending a church and someone attending a club? Our conduct, including how we dress, should reflect the purity we aspire to in all areas of our lives. As Christians, we are called to be pure in heart, in mind, and in actions, setting an example that draws others closer to Christ. I say this out of love and concern because you have such an incredible platform and an opportunity to lead others by example. Your influence is powerful, and many young women look up to you as a role model. The way you present yourself can either help strengthen their faith or cause them to stumble. Remember, our actions can sometimes speak louder than our words, and how we live out our faith is often the first thing people see. When we truly live for Christ, every part of our lives should reflect His love, His grace, and His holiness. This includes how we dress, how we speak, and how we respond to criticism. It’s not about legalism or simply following a set of rules, but about understanding that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We are called to honor God with our bodies, reflecting His purity and love in every aspect of our lives. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on this, not as a criticism but as a gentle reminder of the calling you have. You are already doing so much for the Kingdom, and I believe God has even greater things in store for you. Continue to seek His guidance in all that you do, and remember that He looks at the heart. But also know that as His representatives on earth, how we present ourselves matters. May you continue to grow in grace and shine as a light in this world, leading others to Christ through your words, actions, and the purity of your heart. With love and respect,
I totally agree, sometimes it’s good to take advice from people and not take everything as judgement/ negativity…. We do know you’re a good woman and meant no evil but that outfit to church was a no no
Thanks for your message & kind words. But I had to scream when you said my outfit resembles what someone would wear to a club. A CLUB?? 😂 I haven’t been to the club in a very long time but I know for sure that I have never seen girls wear a baggy oversized T-shirt & a puffy denim skirt to a club!! And if I was going to a club I certainly would not be wearing that outfit, lol. The fact that you saw my outfit in that regard is just SO ridiculous to me, and respectfully, I disagree! And that’s okay. We don’t have to agree on this. Everything else you’ve said is what I already know, I’ve been carrying this cross for many many years & know what it takes to be on this Christian journey. I simply do not see an issue with the skirt I wore, and that’s just it. And I don’t know why you & others are not able to reflect and accept that. Why are you so insistent on condemning me for something I had zero conviction from the Holy Spirit Himself about or have condemnation from God about? Why can’t you just accept that I felt perfectly fine wearing that skirt? Why are you & others so insistent on still trying to “correct” me or tell me that I’m “wrong” for wearing it? I genuinely do not understand the huge fuss you are making about this, meanwhile there are actual sins that ppl need help & encouragement for. You guys can die on this denim skirt hill if you want, but I refuse to be beaten down & made to feel like I’ve done something wrong because ppl have an opinion on a skirt I wore to church. If you think the skirt doesn’t reflect purity then don’t wear it. My sense of purity was still intact when I wore it. LOVE to see you back on UA-cam!!! You are such a wonderfully positive person ❤ People judge for the sake of self righteousness NOT because they actually want to help you.
Thank you so much. 💕 It’s definitely a sense of self-righteousness to think someone else isn’t worthy or less of a Christian based on what they personally deem as not “modest”. There are times when I have had to check myself that I too am not being self-righteous with certain things. As Christians in general we need to do this more before commenting on others.
Remember that the recipients of Paul's letters were not initially feeling convicted by their actions or attitudes. Yet, Paul addressed their shortcomings directly and boldly, acting as a vessel of the Holy Spirit. He did not shy away from calling out their sins, correcting their errors, and encouraging them to live righteously according to the teachings of Christ. His role as a messenger was to convey God's truth with both love and firmness, guiding them toward repentance, spiritual growth, and a deeper understanding of God's will. Paul’s letters were filled with grace and truth, seeking to transform hearts and minds by the power of the Holy Spirit. This shows us that sometimes we may not feel convicted on our own, but God can use others to speak truth into our lives, challenging us to reflect, repent, and draw closer to Him.
Sis Paul's letter had nothing to do with skirt lengths. He was addressing ppl flaunting their wealth to the point that they were making others in the congregation feel less than and unworthy because they did not have the same expensive clothes, pearls and hairstyles. Something that still happens in the church today. Context and theology is important when studying the bible. A lot of big American churches and even churches around the world, make ppl feel like they have to dress up like its the Met Gala to church, or have designer on to fit in, or wear the biggest hat, or buy new clothes for church every week, meanwhile God is concerned about your heart, not how expensive your outfit is to church. I love that my church doesn't make me feel some kind of way if I wear leggings and a t-shirt, or just casual clothes to church. And if you want to dress up that is also okay. Everything else is literally personal opinion for each individual, to and for themselves. The end.
I understand your point, but I want to clarify that I’m not focusing on that particular verse. I’m speaking about Paul’s letters as a whole. Imagine if Paul had considered everything the Holy Spirit revealed to him as merely his personal convictions and kept it to himself. The church of God would be in disarray. The truth is that the Holy Spirit can indeed interpret a verse in different ways to different people, but that doesn't reduce it to a personal conviction alone. We are called to share these insights, encourage one another, and help prevent our brothers and sisters from stumbling. It’s not about rules or mere opinions; it’s about God’s desire for us to live in harmony and unity, upholding His truth. While it’s great that you feel comfortable in your church regardless of how you dress, it’s also important to remember that God’s Word isn’t just about our comfort; it is a guide for righteousness. I may not be a minister or pastor, but I am a vessel of God, and I am called to speak His truth, not to condemn but to build up. Ultimately, it’s about the heart, but it’s also about living in a way that honors God and helps others draw closer to Him. Our freedom should not cause someone else to stumble. We are all part of the body of Christ, and we must help each other grow in faith and holiness.
Amina just admit that the skirt was too short ah ah 😂 If you know and think that this right to wear in the Lord’s house, the comments shouldn’t bother you that much. I genuinely think that you should pray about it since it affected you so badly that you have to justify yourself on big youtube. Respectfully ❤
I’m not bothered by the skirt hun, I clearly already wore it to church and was happy with it & I’ll probably wear it again! 😂 My prayer is for Christians to stop attacking each other over things that are not important & focus on the bigger picture of God’s kingdom, and to also study their Bible instead of making their personal opinions gospel, when it’s not. x
@@thisisaminaI agree on the attacking part that we as Christians should stop BUT some of the comments I’m reading on here came from a place of love but it seemed as though you were still feeling attacked by these. We are all far from perfect but let’s take advice, especially if meant well 🤍
Ppl can give their opinion, that doesn’t mean I have to agree with it. That is life. I am also not obligated to take advice when I personally don’t have an issue with the skirt I was wearing. I also didn’t ask for advice so I do not have to take it when it’s given unsolicited. Also you have not read or seen all the comments I got on the actual video post across IG and TikTok cos you are not logged into my accounts and you can’t see all the things I see. Pls do not try to police how I should feel when other ppl have come for me in the way they have been, specifically Christians who have no love or grace in them. And yes, clearly we are not all perfect. Even ppl who wear long skirts to church still need Jesus. x
Thanks for listening and coming back with the vlogs Amina! I understand how demotivating it is when you’ve put so much into editing. By God’s grace this platform will have many more blessings in store for you ❤
I had to go and check the GRWM video, and honestly, Amina, you're better than me because I would've told them to f off, gone about my day, and posted a bikini picture on a random Monday. ☺
Your defensive rant about other people’s appearance is also hypocritical. Do you and keep it moving, that is why we have conviction, if you felt led to wear that then only God can judge you. End of.
Responding to an experience I had is not being defensive, I'm allowed to respond to how I feel I am being treated. I'm sure you do the same in your day to day life or have done at points in your life. Am I not a human just like you, or am I not allowed to have a voice just because I'm on social media? The same way you have your opinion on the situation, and it's not even you that was in the situation, I have the right to also have an opinion on situation and voice it however I wish to on my platform. x
Hey Amina, your opinions matter, you deserve to express yourself. People want Christians to shut up when treated wrongly but Christ spoke up for Himself and the Voiceless. Nobody has the right to tell you about conviction but the Holy spirit. Continue showing us young girls what the true authentic walk is like❤ @@thisisamina
Come on sis, no need for all the explanation. The skirt was short we as a community told you, sometimes we get it wrong and that’s ok. No hard feelings. I have been a supporter for years and will continue to support x
What you deem as short for church is not what I deemed as short for church, and that’s okay. Wear your skirt and I will wear mine. God loves & accepts us both. There will be no skirts in heaven. The end x

I hope u do this video anytime soon. Would really appreciate it🫶🏾🫶🏾
Many mean spirited people give generously that doesn’t mean we stop giving. Modesty is a MUST for a believer man or woman. We don’t stop because bad people may be modest. That’s not an argument sorry It’s asked of us in scripture but only God can convict on such matters 🤷♀️
Have you ever heard of acknowledging two things at the same time? Lol… “Only God can convict on such matters” yet here YOU and others are trying to tell me that my skirt isn’t modest enough for YOU when God didn’t tell me that it wasn’t modest enough for HIM, hence why I happily wore it whether YOU or anybody else liked it or not. x
Like my pastor will always say, you have the HOLY SPIRIT, ask HIM. I implore you to take out time to ask HIM, HE'LL speak to you and convict you accordingly. Our lives at the end of the day is UNTO HIM, not unto ourselves, nor others. Xoxo Amina❤ 255views and just 29 likes??😢 Let's do better please
EXACTLY! If the Holy Spirit that I am in communion with every day didn’t tell me the skirt was too short for church, then I don’t know why ppl are so hell bent on telling me I’ve done something wrong.
I think there is a bigger convo needed on how women are being policed in churches that has nothing to do with the bible. Some people just go to church for a fashion show and look down on people who do not dress how they do. Its only God that can judge you not the people who are in the church
It’s the fact that YOU think what I wore was “not of God” when God Himself didn’t say that. Me wearing that skirt is NOT a sin, so why would God judge me for it? It is YOU who is judging me based on YOUR personal opinion & preference. But you’re ignorantly masking your opinion about my skirt as if it’s a biblical command on church dress code when it’s not. Why is that so difficult for you to comprehend? Nowhere in the Bible does it say your skirt needs to be a certain length to enter a church building. What someone believes is “modest” is down to the individual. That’s why ppl in the comments of the reel I saw of that church I mentioned, were upset by the dresses some wore. Although they were way longer than my skirt, they were STILL being told it wasn’t “modest” enough by other Christians. Do you not see the issue here? Your understanding of modesty is all personal opinion & culture based, NOT the Bible or God’s direct command. Pls rest. Nobody is stumbling. These same ppl judging me about this one skirt have seen me wear way shorter things to other places, bikinis, crop tops and they didn’t say a word. All of a sudden I need to be “modest” because of YOUR personal church dress code. Pls rest. Christ didn’t call you to be the authority over everyone on what is or isn’t modest!
Girl i don't know what they talking about lol. People have double standards, the skirt is alright. People should separate tradition from a relationship with God.
Amina, I have been watching your channel for over five years and I really love your content and I have a lot of respect for you. However, I would like to respectfully disagree with the outfit to church. The skirt is way above your thighs, and it can cause the men in the church to lust after you. I don’t think modesty is the actual concern here because modesty is a matter of the heart. it is more about causing your fellow brother to fall by lusting after you. For someone who is an advocate for abstaining from sex to marriage, it only makes sense for you to be someone that will want to help the men you’re around not falling into temptation. Please know that I am not judging you. I still love you deeply.
Sis you are more than welcome to disagree. I’ve been saying this. What someone deems as modest is literally down to personal opinion and that is okay. It’s an outfit choice, I’m sure there are outfits of yours I may not like or wear to church, but I’m not attacking you for it. 💕
@@thisisamina I’m not attacking you at all Amina. I don’t wear skirts. I mostly wear pants suits to church, but this is not about me and I’m not here to judge you. I am not perfect and I am not trying to be. I’m trying to make that outfit cause the men to lust which is very dangerous.

Gurlll I just checked out your reel and I was imagining ANY other skirt but the one you were wearing. Likeee that was a cute outfit…❤️
Amina just admit that the skirt was too short ah ah 😂
If you know and think that this right to wear in the Lord’s house, the comments shouldn’t bother you that much.
Even ppl who wear long skirts to church still need Jesus. x
Your hair! Love it like this, the colour really suits you 💜
Thank you 🫶🏾💕
Thanks for listening and coming back with the vlogs Amina! I understand how demotivating it is when you’ve put so much into editing. By God’s grace this platform will have many more blessings in store for you ❤
Thank you so much! xx
Its how they back themselves with preaching for me😂😂😂😂
I had to go and check the GRWM video, and honestly, Amina, you're better than me because I would've told them to f off, gone about my day, and posted a bikini picture on a random Monday.
@@thisisamina you clearly read to respond, not reflect. Commenting on people’s appearance is judging, the same thing you’re ranting about…
Come on sis, no need for all the explanation. The skirt was short we as a community told you, sometimes we get it wrong and that’s ok. No hard feelings. I have been a supporter for years and will continue to support x
Oh my gosh she can wear what she wants are u God to judge her lol?
What you deem as short for church is not what I deemed as short for church, and that’s okay. Wear your skirt and I will wear mine. God loves & accepts us both. There will be no skirts in heaven. The end x
@@isabele3154 no one is judging hun, just stating my opinion that’s all. Ultimately God loves us all no one is perfect x
@@Pearl_94so why do u think ‘you as part of the community’ get to tell her what to wear?
@@thisisamina lol girl as an influencer you have to have tougher skin, its not that deep I just stated my opinion, if you put ur content out there people will comment. I didnt once say you were a bad person or Christian, God loves us all and only he can judge.
Clearly the situation upset you, but don’t upset yourself more by continuing to talk about the situation, people had their opinion and said it that’s all, don’t take it to heart. If majority of people have the same opinion then maybe the issue is with u sha. But this does not make
u a bad Christian at all that’s not what I’m
Saying.
We are not God only he can judge. Move on sis x
Amina could you please do a wig installation video? Your wigs are always on fleek😍😍😍as a beginner & as someone who wants to start wearing frontal wigs soon, im completely clueless and i will not spend £60+ on someone to install my wig for me🤣.
I hope u do this video anytime soon. Would really appreciate it🫶🏾🫶🏾
It would be cool if you also put the celibacy videos on UA-cam instead of only TikTok. Looking forward to seeing them ❤
The Efo Riro banter was so funny and also relatable because I can relate, that's how my kids also waste my energy and money.... 😅
😂😂 I was like girl you better eat that & not waste it!
@@thisisaminaShe left it right? I could already see her side eyeing 😂😂😂
Xoxo Amina❤
255views and just 29 likes??😢 Let's do better please
What is this skirt issue, I’ve missed it. I don’t know what we are talking about and I don’t have instagram, what have I missed eyyyyyt
Roast them Amina😂😂😂😂
