Honestly it'd make little sense for the Steam version to do this. Imagine paying 10 dollars for a game that completely deletes your progress whenever you exit? While it does play into the narrative that you have only one shot, people would definitely complain about it in steam reviews lol

i wish they kept this but you can choose to either continue on another timeline where the niko you killed is gone for good but you can continue with a niko thats from a different timeline thats still alive
