Yes this happened to me I had 3 grocery deliveries, and that popped up as I'm about to do the 3rd I got to keep the food then I was notified the next day , it was OK to get back to work, your right ridiculous, and I have over 8,000 deliveries 🤷🏾♀️
Yep, this has happened to me, and I didn't even know they held the money back and it just happened to another Dasher friend of mine. She got the notification that her money was released but both me and her never even knew they were holding back the money, we never even got notification that there was an issue.
Nothing happened, order delivered, task complete, now give me my dang money 🤣 when this happened to me I went straight off on them and I didn't hold back my tongue.
I called support about this once, they told me it was just random and not for any particular reason... yea okay. Support just guesses the answers most of the time
Hey C. The problem I'm seeing on the UE side with customers not answering the calls... is their caller id shows "unknown" or something like that. These apps need to be showing "Uber" or "DoorDash". The numbers are already "different" in the apps for drivers and customers to protect privacy.. just need it saying the app name.
It blows my mind how people don't answer when expecting a delivery. Just last night some Dude was on the can when I was at his door last night. Didn't answer his phone, no lights on (as usual) and riiiiiiiiiiiiiight as I'm getting ready to pull away, he comes out.
DD let me know that 30% of my leave at door orders did not include a picture. what is the point of this? Obviously The customer opened the door and Grabbed it from me or met me outside im not going to take a picture of the customer.
I had something similar with a shop and pay for 1 ink cartridge from Best Buy a few days ago. It was a no contact door delivery to a home. I texted the customer that their order had arrived as I always do, dropped the order took the picture and completed the delivery. I then received a text message from the client saying thanks a little while later. I was reviewing my shop and pay and say it showed 1 item missing from this transaction. I called support and said this was fraud on the customer side. They acted like they could care less. I asked what could I have done differently? I asked if I should take my picture with the item out of the bag they said “No you might get a violation for tampering with the order “ So how can drivers prove they dropped an item in a brown paper bag then? No answer??? I am sure they will give a contract violation though for doing your job.
If he messaged you saying thank you and everybody else is having this too, Hopefully they’ll fix the glitch soon. Why don’t we thank you if he was going to say it wasn’t in there?
Have had this happen twice on orders that were routine with no issues. Called CS both times flipping out that there was not a problem and you can’t hold my money. Might as well talk to the wall and what can you do. 2 days now without the DD bullshit, there has to be a class action coming soon, it got worse every day and just can’t do it anymore. Thought about all the shit orders I have done and all the shit people I have delivered to and said no more. $6 dollars to go wait for the food bring it to your door and drive even 2 3 miles is ridiculous.
I haven't had any pay withheld *yet*, I remember watching Aaron's gig channel and his $1700 got withheld for 2 years until recently. It should be illegal to withhold pay for any reason, in fact, I'm pretty sure it is. Not sure if 1099 work can restrict that in any capacity, but idk.
I think DD should at least tell you the specifics for the review. What did they think was fraud? The delivery point, the order in general, etc.. To hold and release and never say Why, is BS in my book! For being contractors, it seems the only thing you have control over is your schedule. That's not right! 🤔
I had a BK order today that they screwed up so bad talking to some Philippines freak that didn't understand i said put on a supervisor and they paid me and made no delivery and kept both orders ty for lunch and dinner DD.
And I’m thinking about reaching out to the at least half dozen customers who have asked me if I would take their orders without using DD. Numerous ways to collect payment but having to order the food and being available all the time would be a problem, although could tell them I am not always going to be available.
I had a feeling you would get nailed with a candy order. Went threw it last year at your favorite Aldis lol. When cashier said l was the 5th dasher l called support before l left the store. They sent the order out 2 more times per the cashier when l was back for another order. I remember people being deactivated and losting all the money they had. That is when l went to dasher direct so l got my money soon as the dash was over. Then once a week l transfer it to my bank. Hope the crimson works out as good.
I had a $8tip taken by door dash and only reason i knew was because the customer ask did i get the tip her order was my last order i look it was all base no tip she was mad cUse doordash keeped my tip
I had this happen yesterday. When I called support I was told it was happening to most driver yesterday. Funny thing, I complained, almost as soon as I hung up I got a text saying my money came thru.
Every time it has happened has been Winn Dixie; so a shop and deliver. I talked to support on the phone and was told verbatim: "You are getting the money regardless of the results of the investigation. Even if it ends up with you(me) getting a contract violation." Was also told that "most of the time" its not the dasher being investigated its the Customer by support. A Dash buddy said it happens to her alot as she does a lot of shop and pays and has noticed its people who tend to report issues that are false or demand a lot of refunds. I will say that I deliver to the same customers every day in my market. She has been doing it for 3 years in our market,
Yes I got mine held yesterday too because the order was flagged for review. I was so mad that I called them and told them I wanted my money or I wasn't dashing no more.
I have not been out delivering since end of September. I did not go out on Halloween. I knew it would be a mess with people out n about. I have never had DD hold my money, but had my red card declined many times. I agree I have so many deliveries under my belt, they should set a exemption for those over x amount of deliveries.
3 Reviews in 2 weeks back in August, and the first 2 were back to back orders. 2 leave at door and 1 hand it to me. All 3 went to review within 10 seconds of confirming delivery. No reason what so ever for any of the reviews. 1 was to a repeat customer that I had delivered to 3 previous times.
Been dashing part time for 3 years 7000+ deliveries and had that happen twice in the same week and never could figure out what triggered it.both times they released my earnings the next day with no explanation
Same thing happened to me on my last order one time, it's just a random check they do to all dashers at some point especially full time dashers, I'm assuming it's just for security measures making sure we are taking pictures and we are not stealing and playing by the rules
Being that it's contract work I was under the impression once the job is done and both parties agree they pay and the agreementis settled. If they take the pay back that's called theft. Reversing the disputed trip wouldn't even make legal sense. Cause again the transaction is made. If they're going at it from a bank fraud angle you didn't make that payment they did so they can deal with the bank for that. But under what authority do they have to morph the financial institution with the job?
I believe Ai is to blame for all the BS we go through. Once a real, breathing, thinking being reviews it then it's fine. Hate..hate..hate Ai!! Curious as to why most of the U.S. dashers never park in the customers driveways when delivering, during the day anyways.
So we don't get SHOT! It is also good practice so that you don't drip grease or oil on their driveway. I only use driveway if they specifically tell me to in the instructions or if house is off of a street with no parking.
i drove around for 2 weeks with my huge halloween skullface pirate decoration i bought on sale after halloween a few yrs ago+++ the looks i got___ha ha
Tell me why my earnings use to reach my account Monday afternoons but now my earnings don't get to my account til Wednesday. So to handle that problem on Sundays I am going to cash out
Ok, what is the deal with Door Dash starting with the hard braking over speeding in a driving in his own vehicle? Question: Can Door Dash deactivate a driver for that?
I’m guessing and just a guess the customer lied about something you did “ threatening “ maybe bc they don’t like a patriotic shirt or saying or tattoo you have? American flag? Or seen your channel? 🤘
I think you're owed at least a explanation of why the funds were withheld. On a brighter note for me, Halloween dashing paid off pretty good. Orders and tips were high, and $2 or $2.50 peak pay (depending on the time).
Yes this happened to me I had 3 grocery deliveries, and that popped up as I'm about to do the 3rd I got to keep the food then I was notified the next day , it was OK to get back to work, your right ridiculous, and I have over 8,000 deliveries 🤷🏾♀️

DD is getting more and more crazier by the minute
Guilty before proven innocent is how the system works.
I called support about this once, they told me it was just random and not for any particular reason... yea okay. Support just guesses the answers most of the time
😂 they probably have quotas to make each day. Whatever gets us off the chat quicker
Instances like this are why I hardly do any DoorDash anymore. They are masters at manipulation and getting you spinning in circles.
Hey C. The problem I'm seeing on the UE side with customers not answering the calls... is their caller id shows "unknown" or something like that. These apps need to be showing "Uber" or "DoorDash". The numbers are already "different" in the apps for drivers and customers to protect privacy.. just need it saying the app name.
Yeah that needs fixed. All these recycled numbers or a specific number where the call comes through the app itself
I mean that’s true, but if you know you ordered something you take the chance and answer!
@AngelJinSC I thought it showed door dash support on caller Id's
@@rachmunshine9474 🎯BINGO!
I agree. Spark too. Who is trying contact the customer would be incredibly helpful for every branch of delivery gigs even with regular Uber.
I want to put gigwork behind me heading into 2025. It has reached the lowest it can go.
It blows my mind how people don't answer when expecting a delivery. Just last night some Dude was on the can when I was at his door last night. Didn't answer his phone, no lights on (as usual) and riiiiiiiiiiiiiight as I'm getting ready to pull away, he comes out.
I'm convinced people are being cloned the people who order are stulid
Don't know why but customers never answer their phones
DD let me know that 30% of my leave at door orders did not include a picture. what is the point of this? Obviously The customer opened the door and Grabbed it from me or met me outside im not going to take a picture of the customer.
If the app doesn't prompt for a picture, i take one anyway and put it in a message.
I had 2 under review yesterday. Both cleared this morning. Maybe review new dashers but leave us veterans alone!
Agreed. Some of us are way past the newbie stage of dashing.

I am at zero deliveries the past 30 days again. Also .. LOL ‘strong and silent type’ .. are you considering Spark yet?
I keep checking spark. Still on the wait list
@ best time to check is late night or early morning .. it worked more than just for me.
I would call doordssh and report the glitch
Personally, on Halloween, I would do the halves be done. At least the customer would have something
I had a BK order today that they screwed up so bad talking to some Philippines freak that didn't understand i said put on a supervisor and they paid me and made no delivery and kept both orders ty for lunch and dinner DD.
I had an order under review yesterday too and so did Aaron's gig on UA-cam
Mine was chipotle for $4 going literally across the street
And I’m thinking about reaching out to the at least half dozen customers who have asked me if I would take their orders without using DD. Numerous ways to collect payment but having to order the food and being available all the time would be a problem, although could tell them I am not always going to be available.

If i had 7 million drivers on the platform and took just a dollar from each of them. I'd be a millionaire.
This probably happened because a customer said the account owner isn't who delivered the order. Apps are cracking down on account renting and such.
I’ve not had this happen in over 13,000 deliveries. Aaron out in Chandler AZ just did a video about the same thing.
I had this happen yesterday. When I called support I was told it was happening to most driver yesterday. Funny thing, I complained, almost as soon as I hung up I got a text saying my money came thru.
🎉i turned off the shop and pay and Alcohol On DoorDash and Uber Eats.
Charlie, I have had that happen to me twice very frustrating and not right
I agree with you its b.s but i think doordash glitched . I also had 1 order under review . Then cleared.
16:39 gotta love it when DoorDash makes a game out of your money. Just say what the actual total is.
I am so sorry that you are still doing doordash, working from them is terrible, ordering from them is also terrible
Door dash handed out tricks, as usual..
Every time it has happened has been Winn Dixie; so a shop and deliver. @7:17 that area code is my city of San Angelo!

I have never had DD hold my money, but had my red card declined many times. I agree I have so many deliveries under my belt, they should set a exemption for those over x amount of deliveries.
I've had this happen a couple times. The problem is they don't tell you till after you make the delivery 🤬
I had one door dash held for review. An ebt that took like 20minutes over eta because of rush hour traffic
Been dashing part time for 3 years 7000+ deliveries and had that happen twice in the same week and never could figure out what triggered it.both times they released my earnings the next day with no explanation
Lolol “your car’s extended warranty”
They did that to me. I haven’t driven for them again. Not sure I trust them to pay.
Same thing happened to me on my last order one time, it's just a random check they do to all dashers at some point especially full time dashers, I'm assuming it's just for security measures making sure we are taking pictures and we are not stealing and playing by the rules
Happened to me 2 days ago. On a stacked order for the same customer.
Every time I end a dash, I always cash out to my Apple wallet instantly
I delivered a Chic-fil-a to a friend on mine, & she left me a $9 tip on a $5 order and DD held it for review for 24 hours
That candy customer needs your hoodie

I park in costumer’s driveway to deliver, no shame in that 😅
I park in the driveway to deliver. But i make sure its the right house first lol. Because i don't want to be shot.

Happened to me last week or so. I was so like ??? Never knew I was under review and for what???
They are vague in their reasoning. It’s annoying for us dashers.
I had something different happen today i have questions about. I am signing tax exempt slips at DG and Walgreens. Why?
The app is supposed to hold the taxes back instead of the store. I always sign those as Thomas Jefferson or Some made up name.
@@TheBrashDasherI always just straight up write DoorDash as the signature 😂
It irks me when customers don’t respond in the app and just leave you hanging!
Customers should've said trick or treat or you don't give them their order
It was a glitch. It happend to me also.
did you get a lot of trick or treaters? in my area everyone experienced low numbers. I went from 70 last year to 15 this year
I think door dash has some new 'toy' to mess with.
I think they called it the Halloween glitch!
Tell me why my earnings use to reach my account Monday afternoons but now my earnings don't get to my account til Wednesday. So to handle that problem on Sundays I am going to cash out
They did this to me too i thought I was getting a contract violation 😅
Same here. Makes you question your sanity
Ok, what is the deal with Door Dash starting with the hard braking over speeding in a driving in his own vehicle? Question: Can Door Dash deactivate a driver for that?
Can’t get deactivated for it. You can go into settings and turn that voice off
Ok thanks
$0 on Halloween - DD is done here, unless you're an illegal with a fresh account.
Hey Charlie, been a long time since I've been on here. Hope all is well!!
door dash wanted to spook you for Halloween....
I’m guessing and just a guess the customer lied about something you did “ threatening “ maybe bc they don’t like a patriotic shirt or saying or tattoo you have? American flag? Or seen your channel? 🤘
😂
You walked past the candy on the way out! Or was that the same? 8:49 mark.
It was all the same 55 count bags. Customer wanted 125 count bags.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN and ALL SAINTS DAY, DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
Add an item after I start shopping and ill drop your shit and move on
7:16 might want to blur that out
It's a DDash number port. Dashers don't get the real number for the customer.
OK good. I'm not a dasher so it looked like a phone number to me. Thanks!
what ? is that illegal
18:20 I see you found your pants.
😆 it took a bit. Still have a lot in totes
Is just DD BS!!!!!!!
Love Xmas season already it’s the best time of the year 😊
I think you're owed at least a explanation of why the funds were withheld.
On a brighter note for me, Halloween dashing paid off pretty good. Orders and tips were high, and $2 or $2.50 peak pay (depending on the time).
Why do you take everything door dash does so personally like they are insulting you. It's not that serious.
Mess with my money and it becomes personal.
