    Better than a movie! Imagining while someone narrates is far more better than watching a movie which is limited to what we see. But imagination could go above and beyond!

    The path of redemption is our own twelve impossible tasks. Facing the fears that we have an push them aside, fight them climb them, capture them, everything is related.

    • @Oz1111
      @Oz1111 3 роки тому +4

      There is more to it. It is not just his courage, but intelligent, humility, self discipline, determination, integrity and other characteristics that show in each task. He builds his character one by one and rewarded in the end with immortality (which is nothing more than being written about after his death). Even how he killed his first family is like a man who didn't treat his wife and kids right in his first marriage and failing them. His redemption is building his character to be better and only after that he gets a second family. These stories told like they are some magical creatures and mtyhs but there are underlying morals that can be applied even in today's society. That's why these myths are great and were used in teachings for centuries.

    I remembered all of the 12 labors from a Greek mythologies book I had as a kid, but I must've forgot WHY he did them in the first place or it was completely omitted from the book. Either way, this was an absolute delight to listen to.

    Hercules was once met by two women.
    The first one offered him the path of ease, pleasure, and all the riches he could imagine.
    The other woman showed him a path of effort and strife, but with honour and dignity. A path that will earn him the right to belong in this sacred creation. He recognised the second woman as Virtue, and followed her throughout his life.

    What a story
    Many of the ancient stories a pure symbolism to mankind and oneself true being. Redemption is the path to better oneself and free from the shackles of the sin

    Every man must walk the path of the hero as Hercules did. Thankfully though, he will not face such overwhelming odds as he did. Let's take a glimpse on this mystic path
    First labour, the Nemean Lion. No arrows nor weapons can penetrate its skin.
    This means that man must firstly become strong by himself and not through external means. Weapons are not allowed yet, for he has not proved himself worthy, yet. Hercules prevails with raw power and strength. Now, that he has proven himself worthy, he can use weapons (arrows) and armor (lion's impenetrable skin)
    Second labour, the 9 headed Lernaean Hydra. When you cut off one head, two others grow on its place. This is the "ego". When one thinks he has vanquished 1 facet of his ego, two others grow on its place. So, the hero must cut a head and then burn it with fire so it won't regrow.
    The Labours eventually lead the Hero in higher realms of existence. But, first labours take precedence..

    In higher education I read the myths and legends of ancient Greece the most! Very interesting feats of Hercules! In the past, not only gods, but also our ancestors gave birth to 8 or more children. I too, like Hercules, am an illegitimate child, but my biological father's ancestors don't treat me badly. They have accepted me warmly and positively. In life, too, one must always fight, battle to victory and prevail over evil.

    Hercules was incredibly strong but not in terms of his physical strength as most would guess. His strength of will alone is what enabled him to complete these labors, as said in his fight with Cerberus. "His spirit unbroken and his search for redemption so strong that Cerberus was defeated." Hercules was not the strongest man alive nor possessed the strength of a god through his physical form, but instead rather from the sheer power of his will and indomitable spirit.

    This creature known as Heracles is no hero, he was also worshipped as Baal Heracles in Phoenicia. Baal was the deity that demanded human sacrifice including children. Each of the labour's describe the elimination of gnostic spiritual creeds that rivaled the Pantheon of gods that he represented. The name Diomedes refers to the Medes who were Persian mystics better known as the Magi who witnessed the birth of the Christian saviour Yeshua. Dio in the name Diomedes means God (Deus) the creator as opposed to Zeus (Baal) the imposter, the Horse or in this case Mares symbolise understanding (wisdom) this is the background to the inversion of this despicable oafs escapades.
