Well Twice is not a rap focused group so makes sense the rappers don’t get that much lines. Momo is also a dancer and weakest vocalist in Twice. However a bit shocked seeing Momo get least lines in Perfect World, when she fits that song perfectly and that song has lot of rap.

I feel like in a 9 member group, if the least lines is above 13 seconds, it’s not that bad especially when the distribution is fair-ish. Also, I think with line distribution, it shouldn’t be about who sings the least but rather who you don’t even notice in the song like Chaeyoung and Dahyun rap parts in TT, cheer up and Likey are so freaking iconic and everyone notices them and their skills in that song. Or like tzuyu bridge part in breakthrough. I think realistically a fair line distribution isn’t “same number or high number of lines” but rather “visible memorable lines”. Of course 9s is still crazy low. But feel special, breakthrough have some really good line distributions with each member shining to some extent

@auliamate Jeongyeon has the most stable vocals during live shows. If you have ever been to their concerts you would know what I mean. It's actually her voice that stands out during concerts that you can really tell she's singing live and it's not the backtrack. And she never said she doesn't want many lines. Even Nayeon wanted lines for Jeongyeon because Nayeon said Jeongyeon's voice fits well in choruses but their company always wants Nayeon sing more lines.

I think it's given that the rap line gets the shortest line since twice's songs are not heavy in rap. And of course the vocal lines have to get more singing lines. Besides, momo always gets a dance center/solo in most of their songs. And Dahyun always gets iconic rap lines. I think Chaeyoung and Jeongyeon should get more lines, they have really great voices.

You may be looking at this wrong. In most songs Chaeyeon does not have the fewest lines or words. She simply has the shortest time to deliver them. Seconds do not equal lines with the rappers. Also Momo gets the dance breaks.

HELP WHY IS IT MAINLY MOMO 😭
I’m a vocalist and from my perspective Momo having the fewest lines makes perfect sense, they just also need to choose better lines for her to sing. She’s someone with a very rough, nasally voice (yes I’ve heard her predebut vocals-even then, extremely nasal and rough) and who audibly strains on most of the notes she’s given because they don’t work for her style and range.
I would say the best uses of her talents are in Fancy & I Can’t Stop Me, which have wonderful and memorable choreography and give her easy but catchy lines. I’m surprised at how good she sounds in Fancy, there must be something about the genre and vocal direction that helps her shine. She was also very good in Scientist but I didn’t think the choreography highlighted her as much as the other two.
I think More & More is NOT her song, she doesn’t sound comfortable at all and it’s not a good sound when someone is clearly out of their comfort zone. I think the same of her lines in Alcohol Free. Not good choices.
I think she should have had a little more in Perfect World because her little “lalala” is way more in her range & the choreography is great so it would’ve been nice to see her boosted a bit. I think she would’ve worked well singing “愛想なくて I apologize / 君とはこれでおしまい” bc it gets pretty low and seems more in her range + is at the beginning of the song which means she wouldn’t be out of breath dancing but that’s how I feel.
She’s amazing in Wake Me Up, too. There’s a good dance break, she’s in her range and the style seems comfortable for her to the extent that she sings a couple high notes without straining & it doesn’t sound difficult or painful!
And to be clear I think Scientist, especially the bridge, is the best she has ever sounded, I just think the dance doesn’t centre her enough and even the mini dance break is a little underwhelming which is sad bc they could’ve really made it her era. They need to write songs that low more often.
