The greatest generation the world has ever seen. She is a national treasure to Britain.

You have such a beautiful voice Inika; you should sing more! I hope there is a recording studio representative out there listening who will contact you. Thank you so much for recognizing the service that dogs have provided for us during wartimes in the past. They are still serving us as Service Dogs for People with Disabilities and as a Professional Service Dog Trainer, I really appreciate such a wonderful Black Queen taking time to recognize their service to mankind, risking their lives to save our lives. You are too, too, too awesome Ms. Chung! Please continue the great work you do, enlightening and educating the American Public!

She was special to the Forgotten 14th Army who fought in Burma in 43 and 44. My mums youngest brother wrote home saying how much it meant to him to see Vera Lynn in concert, in the jungle! It was the last letter he wrote home, being killed in action June 44. I know how much that letter meant to my mum and her family. She really was the forces sweetheart. Thanks for this.

I just heard this song in a movie and thought I'd check out people's reaction on it.

It was played at the end of Dr. Strangelove. A great movie, and a great song.

How wonderful that the late Queen used part of the lyrics to reassure us in her special speech to us during covid lockdown, we will meet again. It was so moving. Bless the late great Vera Lynn

Also made popular as part of the soundtrack to Dr. Strangelove.

I got a new and deep appreciation for the oldies from playing Fallout 4. Listening the radio sometimes even when I was not playing. This song was one of my Favrets. Betty Hutton's Murder He says was another. Thanks for this, I feel the music then was more pure and real and needs to be listened to more.

I think she passed earlier in the Year and may she lived a long life and her song is so iconic that in her funeral I love you both came out to see her go and they even sang her song one last time

My favorite song from this area is between this and Doris Day's bushel and a peck

omg, this is such a beautiful, sentimental song. She dedicated this song to the troops going to fight for our freedom during the second world war.

i love this song, I was born at the very end of WWll, in Denmark, who was occupied by the Germans. This is my parents generation, but I love it as well.

Beautiful footage! My mum was occupied in the Channel Islands ( GB) by the Germans so it’s poignant to me. So sad she died in pandemic as we we’re going to celebrate her at our Liberation Ball ( she was 103). “ I’ll be seeing you” is my favourite. Thank you thank you for acknowledging her xxxxxx her enunciation- wow!

They don't make songs like this anymore slow yet beautiful and full of heart and soul but now it is is just computers and green screen effects and flashing body parts

This song is cool, but it's got me wondering if more people know about Vera's work through gravity falls or Pink Floyd then they do because of her actual music. She seems really talented so if that's the case it would be a shame. I looked her up on Wikipedia and apparently she died sometime last year. She lived to be 103 years old, which is sick.
