If Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland were all in the same movie it would be the most ambitious crossover and a great way to bring more multiverse stories into the MCU.

I am surprised noone is talking about how in the comics it was ELECTRO whom was able to enter the Spider-verse and start recruiting versions of himself from other universes to go to war with the multiverse of spider-men. That seems like a pretty important detail to add with it being specifically Electro jumping from one film universe to another.

Tbh amazing sm 1&2 was a disappointment for me, didn't hate it, but really hoped it would be better, was also looking forward to asm3 to see if they could do better....
Andrew Garfield is still the best live action Spider-Man we ever got. He embodied the Spider-man aspect perfectly and was also the older, more mature version of Peter Parker. Holland is great as a young Spider-man, but the child tone aspect has never fully done it for me.
my favorite moment from garfields movies is Stan Lee’s cameo in the first movie where he is fighting the lizard and its playing the classical music in the back round.

andrew garfield is truly one of the greatest actors of this generation, he just fell victim to bad directing, bad editing, bad writing, and lack of understanding of spider-man’s character from production. i rlly think that garfield would make an great older Spider-man, similar to the older peter depicted in spiderverse. sony making amazing spider-man another origin story was their first mistake.

Andrew was the most accurate to Peter’s personality with the jokes and awkwardness. Tobey showed that Spider-Man had heart, Tom showed that in the end Spider-Man is simply a teenager with new powers.
To sum it relatively perfect is tobey was most accurate to the old age of spiderman Andrew is most accurate to the modern age and Tom is just his own thing
No lol. While Tobey looked a bit old, he was really awkward. But Garfield was a bit punk. Liked both Garfield and Tobey, Tobey was probably the closest. But both could have been closer.
I honestly had no clue Andrew Garfield was even British but I knew Tom Holland was British though. That threw me for a loop. This whole time I thought he was American.
Technically, Garfield is American AND British. He was born in L.A. to an American dad & British mom. But yes, he grew up in the UK from age 3 on, & his natural accent is a British one. There are a bunch of British, Irish, Australian & New Zealander (not to mention all the Canadians) that I later find out are foreigners. The rest of the world knows too much about us. It’s a security threat. Haha.
Probably when tom Holland is ready to leave, then they'll introduce miles morales in a movie and kill off Hollands spiderman like in the animated movie but from the older spidermans point of view until he dies at the end and then well get miles movies hopefully
Sony messed up trying to cram all the characters into 2 movies that they didn’t take the time to introduce them properly, something Marvel has done well w/ Max Gargin (scorpion) & chameleon who weren’t main villains but were introduced in a way that we know why they’ll have reasons against Spider-Man
Yusuke of the Wildfire chameleon is the bus driver that’s working w/ Nick Fury & Maria Hills (skrulls). Just like him, their characters have been introduced but have not yet transformed into villains whereas in the Amazing Series, they just threw Rhino in like nothing as well as Green Goblin & they were planning on doing the same w/ Doc Oc, Vulture, & whoever cane out I the final scene when they were showing the suits in Oscorp

Like making out with Gwen in front of the school is cool but not correct I guess. And humiliating flash like that was abnormal yunno. They overdid some parts but the home Peter and inventive Peter was spot on. Just those certain issues but other than that I thought it was perfect. I hate Tom Holland. TOBEY the og. My understanding is the reason why Andrew Garfield lost his job was he was overseas in Japan at a Sony headquarters and one of the Sony executives asked to see Andrew Garfield in his costume and apparently Andrew Garfield blew the guy off well that guy pretty much got Andrew Garfield fired..
No Andrew was 'let go' from the role after he failed to show up at an event where Sony chief Kaz Hirai was supposed to announce The Amazing Spider-Man 3 for a 2017 release.

@@0x0michael andrew garfield is a great actor but a horrible spiderman. Ok. So deep dive here. Spiderman it 2 characters. Geeky Peter Parker and overly sarcastic spiderman. Andrew never got the geeky peter he was always to cool for school and his sarcasm never felt right. Spidermans real (and misunderstood) superpower is to make people so agitated that they loose their ability to stay calm. He taunts them untill they make mistakes and thats when he wins... or some times he just uses his sheer genius as pter to create a solution. Neither of the first 2 iterations got it quite right. Holland has both nailed down so far. Toby was at his best as peter Andrew was at his best as spiderman but holland understands both.

I think they peaked with The Winter Soldier although I did like the two new Spider-Man films, and with no Robert Downey Jr or Chris Evans, I'm just not interested anymore, but that's just my personal opinion and I'm sure plenty of people still care and want more.
Andrew Garfield was the Spider-Man nobody asked for, the awkward middle child in the live action iterations. I was actually graduating from high school around the time TASM2 came out, and for me Andrew's version felt really relatable. Crazy respect for the guy and you can tell how much the character of Spidey meant to him, it's just a shame that the other powers at work at Sony treated him the way he did. Tobey and Tom bring their own strengths to the character, but Andrew will always be my favorite.
"Story and character not so important" That's what happens when a movie studio picks a director for Spider-man all bc his last name is Webb. His 1st Spider-man film was amazing! (pun intended) The 2nd one? Marc Webb saw what they did in Spider-man 3 and decided to make the exact same mistake...overload the screen with more baddies than the story needed. And why waste Rhino?! What Marc did with Electro was perfect, I did NOT want to see his silly green/yellow costume on screen, it makes zero sense IRL. (If you don't know what I mean, Google Amazing Spider-man Vol. 1 #9, and imagine some lunatic wearing that and trying not to laugh at him) I also didn't mind the color of blue, he's been blue in the comics also. They didn't want him green since the Green Goblin was going to be introduced in the next movie that never got made. Also, Sony pulled the plug on Gwen too soon. She shouldn't have died until the 2nd act of the 3rd film, IMO.
The "saw Spider-Man 3" thing wasn't on Webb's part. There was a ton of reports of studio interference and Webb didn't have the name brand/recognition to be able to fight back properly for his own vision. TASM1 I think is beautiful and its easy to see that 2 did not go in the direction that Webb intended if you watch them back to back.
Massimiliano Bragaglia There was one scene that explained the suit Harry used at the end, and there was a scene that actually inspired Peter to return to Spider-Man, with his father returning and giving him The Speech. Peter even broke down and cried into his shoulder.

Andrew Garfield was to Spider-Man what Brandon Routh was to Superman. They were both accurate and underrated versions of the character who deserved another chance and better material. Garfield was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Maguire and Holland, and Routh was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Reeves and Cavill. But that doesn’t mean they were bad, it just means they weren’t utilized to their full potential because they could’ve been as popular as them.

Andrew Garfield is still the best live action Spider-Man we ever got. He embodied the Spider-man aspect perfectly and was also the older, more mature version of Peter Parker. Holland is great as a young Spider-man, but the child tone aspect has never fully done it for me.

Andrew was the most accurate to Peter’s personality with the jokes and awkwardness. Tobey showed that Spider-Man had heart, Tom showed that in the end Spider-Man is simply a teenager with new powers.

Favorite Andrew Garfield Spiderman scene... when Spiderman was fighting the lizard and he was getting beat up, but spidey felt the need to say dont make me hurt you! And then the fight behind stan lee... omg SOOOO good!
i want garfield back, he’s such a good actor and portrayed a beautiful story of peter parker. might not be the most action packed peter parker but definitely showed a peter parker where he struggled to have a normal life
Agreed, Garfield did well. Good enough to deserve a trilogy. Never liked Toby's, Holland is too kiddie, Garfield was just right.

@@0x0michael andrew garfield is a great actor but a horrible spiderman. Ok. So deep dive here. Spiderman it 2 characters. Geeky Peter Parker and overly sarcastic spiderman. Andrew never got the geeky peter he was always to cool for school and his sarcasm never felt right. Spidermans real (and misunderstood) superpower is to make people so agitated that they loose their ability to stay calm. He taunts them untill they make mistakes and thats when he wins... or some times he just uses his sheer genius as pter to create a solution. Neither of the first 2 iterations got it quite right. Holland has both nailed down so far. Toby was at his best as peter Andrew was at his best as spiderman but holland understands both.

I think what he was trying to say is that marvel has a new movie called spider verse or something like it, basically its a movie where all spider man from different universe gather up at 1 specific universe to fight one/sinister six criminal, like gwen stacy spider man, miles morales, what he was trying to say is that when that multiverse happening there’s a chance that tobey and andrew spider man would be in the tom holland universe to fight sinister six, since miles morales is already introduced as cameo if im not wrong

If you follow how the Spiderverse comics go, Electro is actually the member of the sinister six to figure out how to universe hop through the spiderverse and recruit versions of himself from across the multi-verse. Soooo this may actually be what is going on here.

I think they peaked with The Winter Soldier although I did like the two new Spider-Man films, and with no Robert Downey Jr or Chris Evans, I'm just not interested anymore, but that's just my personal opinion and I'm sure plenty of people still care and want more.
MCU went downhill since Disney bought them. Turned Hulk into a green ape and Spider-man into Ironman jr. Smfh.

Andrew Garfield was the Spider-Man nobody asked for, the awkward middle child in the live action iterations. I was actually graduating from high school around the time TASM2 came out, and for me Andrew's version felt really relatable. Crazy respect for the guy and you can tell how much the character of Spidey meant to him, it's just a shame that the other powers at work at Sony treated him the way he did. Tobey and Tom bring their own strengths to the character, but Andrew will always be my favorite.

That's what happens when a movie studio picks a director for Spider-man all bc his last name is Webb.
His 1st Spider-man film was amazing! (pun intended) The 2nd one? Marc Webb saw what they did in Spider-man 3 and decided to make the exact same mistake...overload the screen with more baddies than the story needed. And why waste Rhino?! What Marc did with Electro was perfect, I did NOT want to see his silly green/yellow costume on screen, it makes zero sense IRL. (If you don't know what I mean, Google Amazing Spider-man Vol. 1 #9, and imagine some lunatic wearing that and trying not to laugh at him) I also didn't mind the color of blue, he's been blue in the comics also. They didn't want him green since the Green Goblin was going to be introduced in the next movie that never got made.
Also, Sony pulled the plug on Gwen too soon. She shouldn't have died until the 2nd act of the 3rd film, IMO.
the amazing spider-man 2 was bad only because of studio interference (avi Arad), watch some of the many deleted scenes and you will see...
The "saw Spider-Man 3" thing wasn't on Webb's part. There was a ton of reports of studio interference and Webb didn't have the name brand/recognition to be able to fight back properly for his own vision. TASM1 I think is beautiful and its easy to see that 2 did not go in the direction that Webb intended if you watch them back to back.

Andrew Garfield was to Spider-Man what Brandon Routh was to Superman. They were both accurate and underrated versions of the character who deserved another chance and better material.
Garfield was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Maguire and Holland, and Routh was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Reeves and Cavill. But that doesn’t mean they were bad, it just means they weren’t utilized to their full potential because they could’ve been as popular as them.
Jamie Foxx wasn’t terrible in the role of Electro but the film script wasn’t for him.
