I think he's trying to annihilate Reya because she's responsible for stopping Multi's heart, and when Rai (and Reya but Shadow doesn't know..........yet) brought him back to life he said he could kiss Multi. That's how much he cared about him.

I can't blame Shadow for being furious at Reya, but they were pretty much a thing of the past. She has changed over the time since Nazo's death. She wants to bond with the others, something she hasn't done in her lifetime and so far she's doing quite well for the most part.
Hope things will turn out well in the end.
