I agree with most of what you have said except one point. Where you said that Goans will not throw trash or break alcohol bottles on the beaches and other public spaces. This was true a few years ago but not any more. In Madkai where we had pristine hills and grassy slopes and plateaus, we would go for evening walks with our families. Now these places lie covered in trash and broken beer bottles. No tourists come here. This has all been done by the locals. I witnessed this first hand. This trend of drinking in public spaces started during covid lockdown and has continued since, ruining our village landscape. It has become some sort of a fashion for the younger Goan generation to gather in open spaces and get drunk with their friends. Along with this it has become a sport to break the alcohol bottles on the rocks. These groups dont care about what happens to the Goan landscape. We can't keep blaming only the tourists. It's time to be the change we want to see.

What is the problem with what she said? Its her opinion and we live in a democracy and everyone is entitled to what they say... If you compare Baga to a beach in the south of Goa then its a shit hole. Goans do not like criticism. Sorry to say we are becoming extremely woke in our thinking and according to most people no one has a right to speech I guess... Honestly Goa is not the beauty it used to be and the beaches are dirty because of large scale tourism and comparatively needs to be taken care of... What if a fellow Indian wants speaks her mind? I can't say if she really meant to defame goa else she would not have shown her face. But goans don't allow uber or ola to run their service and also rickshaw and cab drivers don't use meters but no goan is fighting to change this attitude of rickshaw and cab drivers. Also public transport is limited to few areas and shuts down by 8 pm. I am a goan settled in Mumbai. These are just some of my observations. I love Goa. ❤
