The BT Series and Raging Blast games always had that angular art style, especially when comes to the character's heads where there are sharp lines. Sparking Zero just went and made it look like Shintani's Broly Movie.
@@deathdragonz9762Different costumes are probably gonna make him more muscular, since he was pretty buff in the ToP and Z, the ones used in the trailer are probably Costume 1/DBS Broly Costumes, if they don't split characters into different versions by sagas like in Tenkaichi 3 that is, in which case Z Vegeta is gonna look more Yamamuro's style.
Whoever thought that we had of making it alive up to this point makes me realize how much of a hell of a time has gone since the last installment. I extremely love the new art-style the new entry is having, but what I can't still believe is that Bandai gave a Green Light to this project ever since FighterZ came out. We're on for a ride to remember the rest of our lifetime people, and thank god DBZAnto will be here with us as the good ol' days on Battle Of Z vids (Ik is the worst, yet I personally am here from that exact time period)
Sparking Zero looks like the original Raging Blast graphics but more touched up with proper shading and such. I have always loved the way RB looked but it has its flaws. Every character was too brightly colored and SZ fixes that! 😍 Raging Blast 2 was always a huuuuge downgrade in terms of graphics, teenager me did love it at first but getting older made me realize that the over use of shading kind of ruined the look but damn, Sparking looks perfect!

@dalemau5 I admit that Raging Blast had a lot of good ideas like being able to choose your super moves, scaling back on the bloated roster count (BT3 was filled with generic and useless characters), and running at 60fps as opposed to Tenkaichi's 30fps. RB2 was a slow but sure step on the right direction, but too bad Spike completely undid that because RB2's sales were bad and created the QTE-fest that was Ultimate Tenkaichi (and the less said about the Kinects' game, the better). I'm hope Spike has learned how to actually make fighting games by now.
The graphical upgrade from BT3 to RB2 is noticeable. But from RG2 to SZ is like going from watching a YT video in 480p to watching a 16K film in a movie theater. Geeeez... Spike's quality has literally, erm spiked since the last Tenkaichi. It goes toe to toe with the Broly and Super Hero movies' CGI. They definitely took some pointers from their development of Jump Force as well. The polish is palpable.

Raging Blast had better visual quality of basicaly everything: textures, shaders, beams, light effects. On the other Hand Budokai Tenkaichi had the better gameplay mechanics and a bigger roster of characters (although Raging Blast still had a few good mechanics Budokai Tenkaichi doesn't, but it doesn't ruin the gameplay since the gameplay itself wasn't that great in Raging Blast to begin with). And now Sparking Zero, being released in 2024 (or possibly 2025, we don't know yet), will have Insane Visual Quality (perfect even, if the trailer isn't a lie), an even bigger roster than all its predecessors, and Mechanics from both the Raging Blast series and the Budokai Tenkaichi series ! To put it simply, Sparking Zero will be EVERYTHING fans have been waiting for, the only thing i'm scared for this game is "will it have roleback netcode ?" If it won't have it, the multiplayer is screwed and will be buggy as hell, not only that but it'll be impossible to do a fair beam clash or even a fair fight since the winner will be the one lagging.
I’d say Budokai tenkaichi 3 had better beams, if you hit someone with a special beam canon on tenkaichi, it’ll actually piece them, but on raging blast, it’ll just hit them and explode

@@SnipingIsAGoodJobMate to be honest that's what it looks like they're doing, because Budokai Tenkaichi's "Snap Vanish" was in the trailer, and then the "Beam counter" from Raging Blast was also there... Not only that but both BT3 and RB2 were made by the same team so chances of them using both game's mechanics for this one is just too good to pass up.
I like how in Budokai Tenkaichi and Racing Blast the world goes dark when you are doing a technique, now the world stays the same... doesn't feel that impactful.
BT series had a much better art style and color focus, with the visuals looking very similar to the anime. They did however suffer from clunky roblox looking models. RB series improved the models and facial expressions, along with more energy and attack immersions, but the art styke was so weird. Too many glows and snooth gradients, making things look like clay. Sparking zero looks visually like a mash of both older series bests and improving upon them to the fullest! Combat wise, I hope it fights with all the complexity that BT offered, and inludes how visually cool RB was for energy, but builds better on it for its own game.
am i the only one that wasnt a fan of raging blast because of its "sticky" gameplay? like when you launched an attack it felt like you "stuck" to your opponent unlike tenkaichi 3 where it was a more smoother feel that just came natural and it also had those miniature skirmishes when you both attacked making it feel more like the anime unlike RB where it felt a bit one sided... sure raging blast was far better than xenoverse but i remember noticing this awhile back when the game came out
I feel the opposite Of course i loved tenkaichi 3 when it first came out but when i played raging blast it felt so much more fluid than tenkaichi. And when i went back and played tenkaichi 3 after it felt clunky in comparison . But i still loved tenkaichi 3 and those miniature skirmishes were in raging blast. They show it in this video.
@@wolfman596 no... that was a full on skirmish where you both hyper dashed at each other and engaged in a full on skirmish... the mini skirmish im referring to is when both players literally attack at the same time with the square button and you both hit each other until someone either teleported or hit the triangle button for a heavy attack.. no other dbz game did that...

I can't decide which one I like better I like all the Budokai Tenkaichi series but each one is different I like the aura in the first one the best it's got a smooth watercolor looking thing going on it looks mysterious and two has its strengths and obviously three has the largest roster I really hope they just build upon Budokai Tenkaichi 3 take everything that was in that game and I mean everything and build upon it
I hope we get Android 21 that can transform into Majin form. Doesn't need to be in story maybe just a bonus characters if you finish 100% the story mission or the most expensive character that you need to buy using ZENI not the real money 😂

Even in the beginning big the video when goku and Vegeta rush and then clash idk if it’s the sounds design or camera angle but it sounds and feels like those punches have so much more weight to them in comparison to raging blast and that’s not what I want when it comes to my dragon ball games at least the new game seems like it’s borrowing far more from tenkaichi rather then raging blast .
I mean that's because it's a tenkaichi series game, but ok what you mean. Personally, I enjoyed raging blast 2 a little more than BT3 though, and it didn't feel watered down at all to me. It was almost perfect just needed a more snappier movement system.
Depends on what you're looking for out of these games. Anime chacracter Chacracter wise Ultimate Battle 27 wins. Manga wise: Super Dragonball Z Wins. 3D wise: Kakarot wins. 2D/3D wise: Raging Blast 1 wins.
Raging Blast plays clunky compared to tenkaichi 3 - it misses out on some of the speed that T3 offers maybe bc of the graphics? Hard to explain, the frames on B2 are smooth but weak , and not sharp and impactful how tenkaichi’s were. I’m one of those people who’s played every single dbz game ever and still own tenkaichi 3 so .. that’s just my opinion but if this is truly sparking zero then I’m expecting it to lean towards tenkaichi’s style of gameplay. But raging blast does have some good mechanics like the special move reflect which is shown in the trailer

Bro ngl dragon ball raging blast 2 looks the best graphically. It seems Bandai decided to reuse xenoverse assets and mix them in with dbz fighterz. Of course still to this date dragon ball ultimate tenkaichi and dbz burst limit have been the best games graphically and they’re about a decade old now lol. I wish they would’ve just stuck to raging blast graphics and improved on those or even a mix of dbz burst limit graphics. Still buying the game though. The graphics won’t ruin the hype
I don't think Tenkaichi 4's models and assets look anything like Xenoverse's or FighterZ's. Different shading, different models, different art style. Some similarities? Yeah. But they are not just "mixing assets". This is it's own thing. Just look at it at a slower speed and compare the visuals.
I was just playing Raging Blast 2 at 2K and it does not look better than Tenkaichi Zero. Not even close. And I can tell there isn't any Xenoverse 2 assets here character model wise. The models look perfect and their faces aren't all jacked up and the body proportions and width are proper. If anyone wants to get a taste of what Tenkaichi Zero may be like, I would highly recommend checking out TeamBT4's modded Tenkaichi 3 project with added Super saga characters AND additional fully voiced with cutscenes, Super Saga Dragon History storylines! It's an amazing project that has just seen it's 0.13 release!

When I played Raging Blast 2 I straight up thought the controls were a straight downgrade, it felt like they simplified everything

I feel like the beams from the new game look so tiny and skinny. Like vegetas final flash for example. It doesnt look powerful at all.
