I'm so glad that I find you! Man, you rock! I havent heard better saxophonist. You are playing with so much emotion and feelings that i don't have words for that! You are my inspiration now and thank you for this magic!
+blueyedboymrdeath shure... playing with a band is a complete other story. playing with backing tracks: no interaction possible ... but sometimes there is no place for a band, so the backing track thing can be a nice solution ;-)
Hi Gsaxy, happy new year! Thanks for sending the brand name of the mouth piece you use, dukoff d7. I tried to look for it in Italy and I can only find a metal one - which is not the same material you have. Do you know where I could possibly find the same one you use (in this video)? If you could send me a link to a website or suggest a shop that would be great. Congratulations on your performance of Purple Rain. I was wondering if it is possible for you to send me a copy of the musical arrangement for this song? Thanks in advance. Alessandra
i use the metal D7 for alto. in this video, for tenor i use a meyer 6M. but essential are the reeds! try fiberreed carbones! with this also a rubber mouthpiece will sound much much more richer! and no, i do not use arrangements.
Agree w. gsaxy about those Fiberreed Carbons, the best, although pricey. But they last and last. To get a juicier sound with more projection, one can add a baffle to a mouthpiece. See this video as an example. ua-cam.com/video/iOTQV-3R4rQ/v-deo.html
+billy duff thx, billy :-) i use: a selmer mark VI, a Meyer 6M mtpc and - most important! - fiberreed carbon reeds! and yes the mic...: i use a sennheiser E908 clip mic on a sennheiser wireless system.
+Federico Amaro thx. i use soft ones (S or MS). after my training in classical music i learned to work with soft reeds, which give me much more control over dynamic (ppp ;-) and soundcolor.
have you try the reed carbon with more commercial sax and with vandoren t7 or a dave guardala mb2? if yes... how much change the sound respect to the combination mark vi and meyer 6m?..... ;)
+Federico Amaro shure :-) because the sound becomes very bright by carbon reeds, metal mouthpiece will sound perhaps to bright, certainly brighter then with trad. reeds. i tried soo many mtpces - i allways came back to meyer :-) the heart of the sound is to 80 percent mtpc & reed.
Food for the soul G Sax....I've listened to this so many times..absolutely fantastic!

Hammer perfekt…
Je l'écoute depuis 9 ans maintenant ✨
Merci beaucoup! 🙏🥂
woooooooooow your version of pulp is the most amazing on the web . Dear gsaxy what does it mean Meyer 6M "mtpc" thanks 🎷🤩
🧿🧿🧿
Awesome sounds beautiful.
Juicy sweet soul sax sound and playing... but doesn't it get kind of old gigging with backing tracks? (As opposed to working with live players.)

What are the notes or Key
of the song?
