I have been playing genshin for 5 months now, at the 3 month mark I started to fully understand how the events and adventure ranks worked. I stared to souly focus on getting levels and upgrading my characters, I was no longer exploring the area and the game no longer seemed like a new open world to discover and a form of escaping from reality, it was more like a chore I had to complete every day. The one day in Liye I was doing a commission in the Wangshu Inn, it was sunset at the time, the pink fluffy clouds perfectly spread across the sky, the mountains in the distance towering above the ground and casting cool shadows that contrasted the glimmering golden waves off to the distance. For a moment and just a moment I stopped and forgot everything and just let myself drown in the beautifully crafted landscape around me. Seance then I have taken a break from bosses, commissions, levels, artifacts and all of the crazy features of the game to just run free and enjoy the world that many of us players have forgotten about. I suggest that you try to do the same and just remember how you felt as a new player.
Here is a poem I have written to remind myself (and any reader) that Genshin is a work of art, not just a task that needs to be completed

this game is so much fun doing exploration than missions.
I'll just launch a game and want to play a mission or commission. Will get distracted by hilichurl or some bright spot on the map. That's it. Will continue exploring and before i know it over 3hrs have passed.
I'll encourage everyone to explore the game more and not focus alot on completing missions.
@@greysenpai6749 totally agree. im a new player too, have been playing for close to a month(?) and AR35 atm. i will constantly get distracted by some hilichurls, seelies, or bright spots on the maps while en route to my quest as well XD so i went to complete dragonspine after monstadt before heading to liyue and the chasm, and it was only after i'd cleared up to 60% of dragonspine before i asked my friend for a hint on how to complete one of the missions, only to find out from him that the order of exploration is usually monstadt > liyue > dragonspine > inazuma > chasm hahahaha. it definitely was fun exploring the world by myself, and even for my friend, i would only let him into my world if he's really bored to help me clear some bosses, otherwise i still prefer to tackle the world with my own strength :)

I always find it funny that when I join a lower level player's world I get SO EXCITED when I see a seelie / chest / challenge / geoculus and they're like "Meh". Little do they do know how precious they become.
I'm low leveled, what does a seelie do and how do you catch them? Same with geoculus. I would do the challenges but I always run out of time.
@@shoelace2563 just follow seelies and you will get a chest, you can go to the geo statue and offer the geoculi for more stamina, primogems etc.

@@shoelace2563 Seelies are little fairies/spirits (they're glowy thingies, like will-o'-the-wisps) that you follow, when they settle they'll spawn a chest. Geoculus and Anemoculus are scattered around the map and are used to level up your Statues of the Seven, and increase the limit of your stamina bar and get some other rewards.
@@Nayelianne I didn't know statue of seven could increase stamina. Do I need to level up just one statue, or will the levels carry over to all the statues? Sorry for all the questions.
At AR57, after doing my daily mission i usually "invade other player world" especially those who need help farming, or just playing and chat with them.
Before that i only play co-op for clearing domain or defeating weekly bosses, never realised it was so fun to invade other players to help them and flexing in good ways, and disappear like wind lmao.
Like that time when i invading someone who fighting oceanid, and beating the shit out of it, and disappear after that XD
That just happened to me a few days ago, a higher AR player entered my world and beat Oceanid and I was like “thank you”, then he disappeared.😂

My first experience in co-op was like
When there's someone enters my world, then they just take the things in my world like the Core Lapis and stuff without even telling me first, and being rude like saying "I'm gonna help you stupid, I'm just gonna take things"

crackheads when playing and adventuring .
To summarize:
*Me being treated as a Baby
*Venti on creative mode
*Ei on a killing spree
*And Zhongli always falling off the cliff.
*All of us getting lost accept Nahida.
Then after all of that , we finally get to Sumeru in my world . May these players have the best life in this world 😭💝

this is one of the things i love most about genshin. so far, most of my coop experiences have been extremely positive (although one time a person joined, told me a joke, and left LMAO but it was still pretty funny).
the people joining my world are always super willing to help me out with domains and bosses bc i’m still too anxious to do them myself. i always try to give back in any way possible, so i like to tell them that they’re free to take any resources they need :D

i remember when i first started playing, a razor main came to my world and was absolutely demolishing all the mobs. they used barbara to heal and i saw her little ring around razor and i was so confused because I thought that it was cool. I assumed that it was a cosmetic that I could unlock and I was searching for it for a while😭😭
It sucks joining the game late because there’s so many spoilers and u can’t get the joy of meeting the characters and not to mention the countless events u miss
Actually because I was spoiled a LOT of things about Venti, my first meeting with him I was so ecstatic to the point I chanted "VENTI VENTI BARBATOS" while my Sister was sleeping lol
I was able to join in like 1.3, but I didn't have another device to handle genshin, and the device I first played on was someone else's, so I felt physical pain when the version was now like 1.5

Had a Lyney hop in, clear out the bosses that had me on life support five times in a row, then said I could call him for help anytime and dipped. Same day, a Raiden Shogun showed up and 2 shotted all my other bosses, helped me through the puzzles in Dragonspine and find the chests, then when I was in awe of their power they said “lol yeah she’s insane when you build her” and peaced out.
Then a few days later a Bennet only a few levels above me struggled alongside me against the huge boar in Dragonspine, I realized they barely spoke any English, and we cringefailed around for a while till we managed to get him some materials. 10/10

I was in a players world recently and we came across a geoculus that I remembered being a PITA to get and I was like, "you shall not suffer as I did" and pulled out Zhongli and Venti so they could grab that sucker. @@Emkito its becomes a lot more brain dead if you have venti/sucrose, but even without venti theres a LOT of tricks that you can use to protect the monolith, other than memorising what each enemy targets (enviosity and the keebster have completely f2p guides on the whole of 11-2)

In the beginning, I was so afraid to go to dragonspine. Then someone joined my world, and they helped me so much exploring dragonspine and unlocking all teleporter points. They were patient and very friendly. So I do enjoy playing with others, and I'm also happy to help low at players out now that I'm more experienced

god i remember when i first joined, how thrilling and exciting it was to just run around and explore, open up chests,t all to npcs, the first time I met kaeya, amber, and lisa, the first time I hit a literal 100 damage was the time I was so proud of myself. when I started to get the hang of the game tactics, how to defeat world bosses lmao. also being excited about *every* little thing, but needing help a lot since I was like AR 17. now that I'm higher than AR 48, i look back at how much I've grown in this game and literally am able to truly say that I can now help those players who are just starting out. I've seen people trash on the "little dmg" or "the fact that they don't know how to play the game", dude they're starting out, rather than shitting on them, why not help them out? anytime I join an Ar 17-20 world I try my best to carry them but also teach them along the way, because I remember when I was at that same AR and needed help but got bullied lmao.
I always see it as a way to make the game live longer. The more you help the longer it lives due to constant influx of new players,I need the game to live till they finish the lore or I get yae miko

Today I felt a part of this tho especially that real talk part. I have been playing genshin almost ever since it came out (late September 2020) and recently got my girlfriend to download and play the game. My characters are level 80+ (I don't play 24/7 and took the past year off) and she just got to AR 16 today. We played together and I helped her get the teleport waypoints, oculi which took me ages to figure out how to get, and chests which I labored over earning. It was such a flow of nostalgia 😭 this video is beautiful
When I need artifacts I just join with people stronger than me and then pretend I am fighting with them lol
if you dont get kicked for that after the first round you are verry lucky
most will notice but most dont care since we all gotta start somewhere etc :P

4:08 That kinda reminded me of how much grinding new players are gonna have to go through when they join Genshin when all the regions are unlocked and we're at the final Archon Quest There's going to be SO many characters, world bosses, chests, quests, etc.
