I can't believe there's so many rubes getting roped into thinking this is a competitive boxing match. MMA has punching in it but it's not boxing. They're completely different particularly at the higher levels. Look at hand positioning for example. He has them low just above his waste and wide. That makes sense in MMA because he has to catch kicks, sprawl on takedowns and with small gloves just bringing your hands up to your face isn't good enough to block much, punches just slip through. Doesn't make any sense in boxing.
The gloves make a huge difference, it's much easier to land in MMA than boxing because of the glove size and there's such a wider variety of attacks you can use.
The ranges are different, there's no kicking. Which will make Conors favourite tactic of pulling and then countering much harder. I could go on and on.

Mcgregor probably has 10 pounds on floyd walking around, and a two inch reach advantage. In other words, for floyd to "lump him up" he needs to get inside against a guy with a bigger reach and who is heavier, not to mention a very solid chin and more punching power. Floyd wins this fight by decision easily, similar to the pacquiao fight, but he will not beat mcgregor up, he can't risk staying inside that long

1.nate diaz, an average boxer, was able to rock mcgregor with a simple 1-2 combo.
2. mcgregor's endurance/stamina isnt very good. boxing is 12 rounds. mcgregor has shown he loses steam around 3-4 rounds.
