For example it'll auto sometimes to 3 LTE bands and no 5g, or it'll use 5G NSA with 1 5G and 2 LTE, when two 5G are avialable. I had to set it to SA/NR mode only to fix issue. once I did that, it stays rock solid on n71+n25. My tower never got 41 and probably never will. I was using the stock T-Mobile Arcadyn gateway and even after turning off WiFi which was great, the reliability was lacking as I kept losing the 5G signal. Download most horrible most times at barely 5 sometimes as low as 1.5. At times I would still lose connection altogether. My 5G signal always read as weak. I then your video where you said that you get better download speeds on N71. I turned off N41 and now my downloads are lower at 200 sometimes up to 300. However, my downlaods are always over 30 sometimes as high as 50. The 5G NSA signal reads as strong. All of this with the waveform actually sitting in a window. How to get the T-Mobiles 5G Home Internet Sim card to work in the NEW GL-INET SPITZ X3000 ROUTER? Shows I can be on T-Mobile 5G, after I changed the IMEI from the Nokia version to the new router. However, no clients can get on the internet. TTL at 64 does not work.
Hey Mr. Nader, checking is the pepwave best to purchase direct and is there an annual software cloud licensing fee? I currently have the TMBI and would like to test out for small office remote work in residential area. Also, is it best to get the static IP set up in advance with T-Mobile or it doesn't matter?
Direct or through a respected retailer like Waveform. Maybe the 5% off code NaterTater gets on waveform is cheapest? There is optional cloud subscription fee for some of their services, not required though. Static IP can be added whenever you want.
Does the Cheetah 5G Router work with TMo Home (I've got a FAST 5688W, within the first 14 day trial)? Also, I wanted to setup a few VLANs; but, I cannot login to the admin account to change any settings (other than network name and password, which allows anyone with the TMo mobile app to login and change!) Will the Cheetah 5G provide that capability? I'm just trying to learn (through research) how home networks can be designed and setup; i.e., newbie. Any advice will be helpful.
My ping increased with the Chester device. Has anyone else had this experience. I have the waveform 4x4 mimo antenna and was using the araydian with the mimo. My ping with ARC was average 30-40 and chester is 80+ sometimes in the 100s

Its not plug and play for TMHI sim swap (see ua-cam.com/video/mj0b4FnJen8/v-deo.html). For business internet it is plug n play and you have the option for static IP.
Do you set up a APN to use a max sim? Are just use stock settings across the board and it configure by itself or automatically? I know you mentioned you had a business sim and you just put in, and up and going using chester cheetah router. Its not that simple using a max sim i dont think.
APN is auto. TTL and IMEI are areas that need to match for some plans. Alfredo at Chester Tech Repairs can pre-configure it for free and gives $45 off code NaterTater

Also, can you direct me to a video to show me what I need to do to move my T-Mobile home sim over to the 3rd party gateway. Thanks for all you do.
You can turn off the wifi on the Cheetah and do DMZ to your mesh system. The invisagig has no wifi and is intended to be plugged into a wifi system. IMEI needs to match tmobile's expectation: ua-cam.com/video/mj0b4FnJen8/v-deo.html
Thanks. Is there a recommended app for locating the best tower and to see what protocols it supports ? I have an android tablet I use for this kind of thing, as apple is a little more restrictive.
So, T Mobile won't suspend our home internet service or blacklist these devices? My only other internet option is hughesnet and would like to not go back to satellite. B12 and b71 is congested to hell to barely fuctioning which my trash can likes to lock onto over b66/n71 which gets me 60 mbps
Do you have any suggestions on how to tell T-Mobile that one of their network channels is messed up? N41 in my area on an Arcadia or Chester Cheetah(I bought using your code) is actually fairly problematic. Connection dropped, almost unbearably slow speeds, name the problem I probably had it. On the Arcadia I use antenna placement and tinfoil to block N41 and it fell back on N71 and I used the channel list to block n41 on the Cheetah. N71 works no problems at all on either device. No slow downs, no interrupts, no disconnects. I can't necessarily tell them I'm using my own device on their home internet because I don't want to get in trouble with them, I just want them to fix the issue and I'm not sure how to go about it
just pretend you can move your gateway to a spot that get n41 and it always sucks but when you move it to another spot it stays on n71. Explain over and over to the rep that something is up with n41. It could be a network issue or it could be network congestion on that band. Either way I wouldn't hold my breathe that they will urgently address it.
I still prefer the stock T-Mobile router that you get for $30 per month. I tried purchase expensive hardware but still you have to acquire a sims card from T-Mobile for $20 plus a mont. When I acquired the T-Mobile gateway I was able to get a free $150 rebate card which makes my monthly cost $20 per month for the 1st 15 months. I have taken the T-Mobile gateway with me all over Arizona and it has worked perfect. Just plug it in and up and running in less than 2 minutes. No conjuration to mess with.
Sim card is a one time charge. The rebate is automatic with promo. So it still would be 20 per month for you. I believe like Nate. 3rd party is the way to go if you have the 💰 Way better experience.
The easiest is to look at the tower and look for large black cables running up it (fiber) or if its microwave it will have white "drum" antenna(s) on it halfway up that transmit microwave to another tower within several miles that has fiber backhaul.
@@NaterTater Thanks! I'll check it out. I live very close to my tower. When home, I connect to bands 66, 2, 2, and 41. Aggragating 4 channels but only one is 5G. I will get speeds anywhere from 400 to 600 mbps down and 70 to 100mbps up, which is great, but when I drive around and connect to other towers I get 1 gig down and above! I've also tried SA mode, connecting to 25 and 41 bands but the speeds stay the same and my upload speed actually drops.. So I'm thinking my tower might be microwave. Also, I know all the houses and businesses (even directly next to the tower) in my area dont have fiber service available - yet. Anyway, I'm looking forward to upgrades so I can hopefully get that 1gig speeds at home soon. Hopefully theyre building out the fiber to upgrade the backhaul.

I like my Chester Cheetah, just wanting even more options/capabilities, really wanting logging data, anyone use the SNMP page and get data? One last question, honest, anyone try one of the extendable poles with the Waveform 4x4 MIMO antenna, I just my antenna kit in...

@@NaterTater The MoFi 5500 I think the problem is the EM-9191. I have never gotten a 5G signal on it. I had entertained the idea of putting the same modem the Cheetah has into it. But the price for that is still to high for my liking.
off topic but does this look like a basic Verizon cell tower? or will I be able to get 5G home plus with over 300 down or will I only be able to get up to 300 down with 5G home? Tower should be on any day now here is the pic: prnt.sc/OUbMHoxJt0_3

3rd party is the way to go if you have the 💰 Way better experience.
how can I check my tower to see if its fiber vs microwave?
Hi Nate, thank you for all of this wonderful information.
I am on TMHI BTW, and bought the Chester Cheetah on your recommendation, love it!
I do have questions...
Anyone ever ssh or telnet into the Chester Cheetah?
Seems to require an app to "open it up" first?
Anyone flash OpenWRT, or ROOter to the Chester Cheetah?
I like my Chester Cheetah, just wanting even more options/capabilities, really wanting logging data, anyone use the SNMP page and get data?
One last question, honest, anyone try one of the extendable poles with the Waveform 4x4 MIMO antenna, I just my antenna kit in...
I'm not aware of anyone doing that. Perhaps a question for Chester Tech Repairs. It does accept AT commands.
@@NaterTater Hi Nate, thanks for the reply. This wasn't targeted directly to you. I was hoping others like to tinker and have gotten further than I. I have emailed Alfredo , though, I am not that confident in the information. His blog NEEDS to be upgraded for conversations.
I don’t allow discussion in the guide because not everyone is advanced. It has to remain easy.
@@RouterRelated I completely understand the reasons. Thanks.

Which of these would be best for an external antenna?
My preferred is the Chester Cheetah. ua-cam.com/video/3belU1bmEh0/v-deo.html
Hey I het to be first here.
Chester Tech Repairs Cheetah Gateway is the fastest think I have had here so far. I average 450-500 Mbps down and 30-45 Mbps up. Pings 35 and lower.
The MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM9191 really sucked. It won't even connect to 5G at all even with 4X4 YAGI array from Waveform. Not worth posting the speeds because they are so low.
Glad the Cheetah is working well for you. The MoFi has potential, seems like firmware to me but not sure, maybe they will get a speedy 5G one soon.
@@NaterTater The MoFi 5500 I think the problem is the EM-9191. I have never gotten a 5G signal on it. I had entertained the idea of putting the same modem the Cheetah has into it. But the price for that is still to high for my liking.
the loaded pings are down right AWFUL!
Have you looked into instyconnect?
I've heard of them. Looked at them once or twice and at the time they were out of stock.
off topic but does this look like a basic Verizon cell tower? or will I be able to get 5G home plus with over 300 down or will I only be able to get up to 300 down with 5G home? Tower should be on any day now here is the pic: prnt.sc/OUbMHoxJt0_3
5G Home and 5G Home Plus are both throttled to 300/20Mbps when on 5G other than mmWave 5G which is uber rare, namely at stadiums and some colleges/industrial sites.
