Curious what makes this a new edit? It’s exactly the same recording and mix as the original from the Symphony Sessions album released in 1987 just before the 1988 games.
Chuck E. Cheese's University orientation tapes brought me here.
My brother’s 10th birthday party (in 1994) was an Olympic-themed party. We staged an opening parade, and my dad blasted this on his fancy stereo system.
I've liked this whole album since I got the CD back in the late '80s. With "Winter Games", Foster just knocked it WAAYYYY out of the park.
🎉🎉february 2024... ❄❄❄❄ anyone listening to this captivating song ??🤗🤗😍😍💖💖❄❄
A musical genius, humanitarian and all around Canadian. Your Olympic anthem was played for years after the Olympics. I am sorry youtube abuses your music. I always report clones who do not use proper rites to music. There are a few young boys playing this on their pianos, and they credit you. You are still inspiring many piano players and composers.
Learned this and LOVED IT some 30 years ago and can STILL play it!!! Some things never leave You. THANK YOU DAVID FOSTER!!
David Foster and John Tesh. An 80s collaboration we never got to see.
What a way to end the Netflix video of Off The Record 😊

1988: Canadian David Foster wrote and recorded this as the theme for his home country's Winter Olympics. Excellent.
36 year later... and still a masterpiece! Thank you David!
36 years its a legend...... thank you
I absolutely love this tune. I was on a cross country bus trip through Canada in 1988, and I had to change buses in Calgary, Alberta. This took place in the summer, long after the winter games had ended. But after my brief stay in the city, I found this tune on an album. It is such a wonderful adrenaline rush from start to finish. The song also brings back memories of the time I dated a girl who was a runner. She loved doing those 5k runs, I liked walking them. In the imaginary video, there's one part where I'm power walking and in the second part, she's running like the wind! Very good song! What a rush!

Finally found this masterpiece thanks to Shazam!
The music of David Foster has always been with me, both in great and low times. Very inspiring musician.
Some greatness just picks us up and sweeps us along, stirring our emotions to remind us that we don't even know ourselves, much less a whole world.
