Same. I also notice Nick tends to add "but yeah," which seems designed to reassure people who assume he's gay that they haven't gotten it _too_ wrong. But is that OK or a mild cop-out? (I'm not bi, can't judge.)
Makes me kinda proud over the years. I've helped a lot of people and hope they all react like this, but it's amazing to see a character develop on what I've said. Those words in the show came from the heart. I tried to make sure I'd hit the most important part about being bisexual in such a short amount of time.
The "I'm bisexual, actually" got so old for me I stopped bothering. Now it feels like since I (36F) married a man I am in an eternal closet. The "it was just a phase" comments come out. Heartstopper makes me feel a little less invisible though.

That was a fun first episode. It's so wonderful to see Nick and Charlie having the honeymoon phase like this. All kissing and sweet whisperings. Interesting where Nick's mom is so supportive, but as soon as Charlie announces he and Nick are together, Charlie's parents clamp down on him. That was somewhat unexpected. But he is 15 years old. Thanks for this first review Courtney, I enjoyed it.

Hi again Courtney-Jai, hope you are well? I have been looking forward to your reaction. I sat down on Thursday night and set aside the whole evening to watch season two. By the end I was an emotional wreck. A TV show has never made me cry as much as Heartstopper. The acting went up a gear. Filming was superb. What a season!
Thank you Courtney-Jai for taking the trip with us When you said it hurts from smiling, that is what the show does to me. Imgone's reaction to Nick almost coming out was literally my reaction to my friend in high school. Our entire friend group knew he was gay, but we were hoping he would come out on his own and one day, he was taking me and my other friend home from school and he just blurted it out, out of nowhere, no context, just said, I'M GAY! And then he waited anxiously for some type of reaction and my friend and I just looked at each other, and we both said, we knew...like two years ago. Then we hugged him. You could see him relax as I'm sure he had been thinking about it forever. I was really proud of him too because a few months later, he came to prom with his boyfriend, and given how many years ago this was, that was a bold move given our conservative school. I was literally surprised they didn't try to suggest they not dance together, so credit to the school for once!
When I heard your first "awwww"... Me : it won't be the last one 😂 This episode is amazing. My favorite scene : all the kisses obviously but also brother/sister last one... They are so moving, Charlie who wants to protect Nick at all costs and Tori who is and always will be Charlie's protective big sister. ❤❤

3:50 - I loved Mr Farouk - when I was in secondary school, I had a teacher just like him. He looked and sounded serious and strict but deep down he really cared about us. That was not the norm with all our teachers. I went to secondary school from 1997 to 2002, when being LGBTQ+ was still awful, with bullies leaping on anyone who showed any sign they were gay or bi, just horrible attitude. It was slowly, very slowly getting better, but there were still homophobic teachers back then. But this type of teacher was a great man, just as Mr Farouk is. Strict but caring all at once.

@@Courtney-Jai Hi again, my teacher was Mr O'Sullivan for business studies. Wonderful man, and one of only three teachers at my school who actually took care of lads who were openly gay and were scared if they said anything. They confided in him, and he tried his best to make life at our school as good as he could. But, we had 800 boys in our secondary school, and in around 1999 when I was 14 and I knew then I was gay, it was scary.
