Poland is a great nation.
Polish people will never forget wars and the soviet era . I grew up there and my heart is so happy to see their efforts now.
I want to tell the polish people I appreciate you so much for what you are doing! I feel as though, you haven’t gotten nearly enough gratitude and appreciation for the ways you have gone out of your way to help in this difficult time!
Absorbing such a large influx of people would be a major challenge for any nation, for a nation of 38 million, The Poles seem to be doing well but much more help is needed Soon !
The current situation can quickly go out of control. Ukrainians there are currently provided with free flats, public transportation, free medical care (with the priority ahead of polish citizens) even free movie tickets not to mention free education and all benefits such as a monthly childcare benefit. While it is all very generous and Ukrainians need it right now, Poland is not the richest country in the world with some of its own citizens suffering from poverty. The worst thing is that the government has no long term plan for that. Anyways, let’s all appreciate Polish people because they are doing A LOT to help.

We accommodated this first milion, second that will come this week will be a problem, but manageable, at the and of the next week it will be a humanitarian disaster if nothing change. We have a milion beds in hotels, probably two milion at most in other places like rental rooms or apartments, maybe another in people's houses and that's it, we are full.
Yes many other countries need to send more help immediately, especially countries that has the ability to send more help, such as US. Biden needs to send more humanitarian assistance to Poland to assist with the refugees before it gets out of hands.

i think it was 2011 to 2013 in an international e commerce business law class and or a macro economics class i was asking myself and others... what the united states and the powers that be, world banks, etc. had planned in the future for debts owed to russia and china?
i knew then these people are not stupid, and they think many steps ahead. they have playbooks ready to use for most any event/scenario. i assumed that it must have something to do with some type of war and or manufactured crisis scenario. they never seem to care at all about the national deficit or quantitative easing or any of that stuff, they just keep running it up and running it up. they must have had a plan/strategy the entire time. on the highest levels these people are all working together they just don't realize what/who they are working for. "blind leading blind" my question is how much of the "game" are these individuals "playing" and how much are they being "played?"

As a Pole, I really do sympathise with the poor people who have to go through such suffering because of the sick ambitions of a single dictator. There are still people in Poland who remember World War II and the misfortunes that befell Poles at the time, and that is why we show such solidarity with the Ukrainians and try to help them as much as we can. Let us put an end to this senseless war, as Russia really does not understand that we live in the 21st century...

Most of the refugees found a place in Polish homes. People organize themselves through social networks, some provide transport, others take them under their roof. Whole nation Collects food, clothes and other necessities. Some people travel 500-1000 km and take refugees from the border and shelter them in their homes. People by themselves and kindness of heart help refugees.

My wife's family in Poland is boarding several Ukrainian people, just like many other people throughout Poland. I know from first hand experience that they are a very 'welcoming' culture. They really know how to treat their guests right. I produced a piano song with my band in Chicago last week that we posted on UA-cam that payed tribute to the Ukrainian people. Anyway, a News source from Odessa liked it and linked it to their Website and it played it until yesterday. It was actually kind of exciting because it generated a lot of views, and also I got to communicate with a lot of different Ukrainian people who are over there through "Google Translate". The bad thing is that since I started talking to a lot of Ukrainian people and watching a lot of the coverage that is on Social Media, I really have been in a lousy mood lately. I really do feel bad for the people who are in this horrible situation. I hope that they can stand their ground against Russia. Anyway, the band is only about six months old, and we have about 20-something original songs posted already. In fact we were in the studio recording another one today. If you click on the Icon, you can check out the song, it is called "Ukraine 2022". Thanks for listening if you do, some people thought it sounds a little like Pink Floyd.

I agree. But typical Biden doesnt know how to handle these things. I mean just look at last year's Afghanistan's withdrawal, it was a total chaos. No offense but I dont believe Biden is the right man to handle such situations.
The actual spring hasn't come yet. It's more like a wintery time still, so the reporter has been misguided. Anyway, Spring in Poland, as in most of Central European countries starts around the end of March. We have hot summers, snowy winters, warm spells of weather in the mid October, known as Indian Summer. We have all sorts and kinds of weather and it's normal to witness snow in March. That goes for Ukraine too, since it's basically more/less on the same latitude. UK may be surprised, but their weather differs based on their climatic conditions like ocean currents that affect them in a way that the amplitudes are not that big, meaning light winters and bearable and not that hot summers and that's an exception, not a rule. Anyway, I wish this will end soon and families will reunite and go on with their lives with peace and happiness as all should.
And tomorrow the EU is doing another debate not to pay money to Poland.
And some of this money would certainly go to help these people.

In Poland those that arrived with Ukranians also already complain its racists they were all men and polish folks always make women and children first for buses or to get a place to rest. So when there are not enough beds to rest its always women and children first. So for them its racist. And I assure you that if they were black or Arabic women or children they would be treated same way as ukrianian women and children. But they were men. Other nations men were also after women and children and nevee heat them complain. It could be a culture of muslims, that women or children arent first.
There were a few men that took beds and women with babies were on the floor. They were told to leave bed for women, they started playing the racist card.

the real spring starts here around April. February, March is still winter and temperatures can be vary from ~ 0 Celcius / ~ 30F (or sometime even something on minus like -5C) to even 18-20 Celcius / 68-70F. real spring starts here rather in April and then temperatures are rather 60F+ all the time. next is summer to September with temperatures up to 85-95F and from september to december we have autumn that is something like spring but milder. from december to march we have winter again :D

We don't need regugee camps for now. Poles give these poor people their own apartments for free, take them to their own homes, we live side by side, there is already huge ukrainian community living in Poland. Many Ukranians have friends and family to go to. Besides Polish government will pay every Pole who helps in a long run.
