I get your point of detaching yourself from others and building self sufficiency to enjoy things by yourself. At the end of the day we are naturally social beings and not biologically programmed to be alone. Its important to have a social life and have relationships with genuine people that you can be yourself around. At some point living a lone wolf lifestyle will get your burnt out and depressed. That could also be said with being with friends all the time. That's why I like to go for walks, workout, and meditate to ground my self. I find the right balance between solidarity and harmony.
This 🎉 temporary solitude for self discovery is great but as a lifestyle, most of us will go stir crazy without interaction. It's not a shameful thing to need others. Trying to not need anyone is an abandonment wound coping mechanism.
It goes beyond validation. There is an objective, true, need of others as well; otherwise you could picture what life on Mars would be like. A man doesn’t just need a woman for validation, he needs her to be able to be a part of, and invest in the future. The most painful realization I’ve made is that beyond our own power or needs, we ARE dependent on that existing outside of us, no matter how strong we become in our time alone. Unless Superman was immortal, his end would be the same as yours if he never found a woman. People don’t seem to like the idea that every achievement made by man, all of our technology and discoveries and knowledge; all of it is because our parents came together and allowed it to continue. Greed is eclipsing empathy in the world, and the system resulting from greed stands to change humanity’s interconnectedness forever. This greed must be dealt with, or the power obtained from being alone will also fail in time. Strength to all of us, who need it now more than ever in history. Thank you for keeping your strength.
In Confucianism as a philosophy it's to live in harmony with society. In America it's called being needy and a people pleaser. In the East it's called being respectful and courteous and polite and kind.
