Quite a touching version. I was born in the 1980's in New Mexico, USA. As a child I only knew Lola Beltran & Juan Gabriel, from Mexico. The Prince, Madonna, Micheal Jackson, and the like. I cannot place this song, but i can say with confidence, that this is an extraordinary rendition of "So Long, Marianne." (Side-note: the person who posted this forgot to put the comma between So Long and Marianne. Continuity counts. Ha.)
Excellent live version, thank you Rufus and Martha and the pianist and others.
Unbelievable talent this man has!!
It’s hard to believe that one man can possess so much talent and beauty
I'm a lifelong Cohen fan. This might be my favorite song of his and this cover is just brilliant.
Thank you for this incredible document!
magnifique Rufus!
Just read Martha's "Stories I might Regret telling you". Fabulous writer on top of being wonderful singer.
The best cover I've heard of this Cohen gem.
Martha has the devlishly ...funny cunny smile of her dad .. hahhah - can't think of a more powerfullllll trio of talent and kinship...

Rufus and Cohen's daughter had a baby together... this is very intimate.... Is this Cohen's memorial??
I would think so
