    Tenor banjos are tuned cgda like a viola and mandola.

      All of those read the alto clef.

      And in Irish music the cgda tenor banjo can also be the substitute for the mandola for the Irish tune mandola players.

    So the standard jazz tenor banjo like above is the CONTRALTO BANJO whereas the irish ones is the BARITENOR BANJO.
