I played against a guy in high school and ran against him in track, Tom Zbikowski Buffalo Grove, Illinois. He went on to be all-american at ND and became a professional boxer. Later, he played safety at the Ravens. Dude was good at every sport. Boxing makes you tough as nails. This kid here will be pro in something.
I can hear the announcers: "He steps back in the pocket....Knocks out 2 defenders.... Looking for his man, He's got time now.....Knocks out the corner with a clean left.... Finds his target..... TOCHDOWN!!!!"
He is an amazing athlete but if he wants to go to the nfl one day it will be near impossible to get a contract while doing boxing. So any nfl team is going to tell him to drop the boxing.
Boxing helps in all sports ..SHOUTS to the PSU boxing club, 5 Star and Wanner. .helped a lot with my hoops... conditioning, focus, footwork... ABSOLUTELY translates..
High school you can get away with taking that hit, Next level….. wrong person gonna end his career . NFL ANY HIT LIKE THAT NOMATTER THE PERSON ITS OVER
Yes. The kid is a stud, those hands....idk how tall he is, but if he is 6'2"+ barring injury, he'll go pro. He is gonna have to preserve his body....even h.s. hits can add up. I totally get doing everything for the w. I pretty much told people to fuck off when they would advise self preservation
A "world champion" boxer? I don't doubt he is extremely athletic and tough as hell but I don't know if he could actually be a "world champion" boxer. At Virginia Tech he better be tough because the Hokies are garbage. He is going get hit a whole bunch. He'll be in the transfer portal before you know it.
Size may be a factor for him in the Pros, to ply Qb, if he stays healthy. @ 5’11” 185…he’s Julien Edelman size. With his quickness slot receiver may be his way to the top.
WHOOOO that boy's hands r so fast, he damn near givin light a run 4 it's money!! He gonna have 2 knock that bulldozer mentality off if he wanna play more than 1 game in college tho. Vitor better tell him cut it.
Crazy how im just now thinking about how boxing could help make a better qb.. just think about the footwork and hip movement the arm strength. I cant believe this never crossed my mind.
It’s so amazing how average some people can be and get praised meanwhile it’s 1000s of brothers this good and only go to practice. But hey as long as you keep making sports softer you guys can finally have stars.. ie luka 😂
When his Dad destroyed Tank Abbott I was an instant fan💯 I got so many Basilian friends right now. I’m about to make them football fans "American Football” Fans💯😅
He’s going to be an Aaron rodgers archetype with his ability to quickly and compactly generate power, with the addition of crazier runs. If this kid can throw dots he has serious potential.
“World champion boxer” not from that small clip…he just looks like a kid who started working the pads…chin up in the air, hands down to his waist, feet position all wrong, no balance, etc….
Fast feet from his dad, I watched Vitor Belfort beat Silva when I was 14 and aside from being jumped one time I won every street fight by modeling after Vitor, that kids going to be an animal
Bro I’m a Miami fan as soon as you said VT I was like oh damn may see this kid in the future. Then he’s training like it’s the 4th quarter against Miami and I’m like ahhh fuck 1000% I’m gonna see this kid in the future lol
Disagree with the boxing one, you can see his stance is weird, it looks more like the stance those MMA guys have, too open for boxing and drops his guard when throwing, an actual orthodox boxer would stop him with a counter easily.
Boxing is more physical than football. So in his case he's training to take hits. Makes great footwork and speed. Most QBs only training to throw.. run and dodge hits..
I hope his boxing skills make him a better qb because his qb skills won’t make him a better boxer 😂 All jokes aside, those two sports’ workouts are primed to make anyone sharp!
There’s definitely an intimidation factor if you got a QB who can fight 50 lbs above his weight class. A good elbow to the liver would take out a lineman for at least a quarter.
"theres not a quarterback out there who would do a sparring session with him" why does it have to be another quarterback. I wouldn't consider this football training lol
Yes I think his boxing could make him a better quarterback because if he punches he can throw the ball farther and him going through all those punches would make him strong enough to have like three guys tackling him
His foot work will translate and his physicality, but I don't know what else and I'm not a football player or coach so there is most likely something I'm not seeing.
I mean purely from a mechanic standpoint, that boxing background should make his hip rotation and arm speed really good, not to mention help his footwork.
To tell you the truth this 60 second clip is the first time I’ve ever been made aware of his existence , but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this guy goes on to do great things in college and maybe the pro level , you can teach a kid to play in a way that reduces the punishment on his body from the kind of hits he took getting into the endzone on that one play in this short but you can’t give anyone the heart and toughness it takes to go all out like that , people say that you can’t do that at the d1 level let alone the nfl since everyone is going full time with weight training and stuff like that but he’s going to get bigger and stronger as well , if nothing else I will be paying attention to this guys career because he may have something special
Nothing was showed how accurate he is… yeah he may be good in college but what about when he tries to stiff arm doods like Fred Warner? That dood is gonna be so injury prone it’s about to be wild if he even makes it anywhere
Great training for all skilled players. Fast hands, great core and body control gives a huge edge. Thought I was the only one seeing this kind of training.
His boxing is going to help his arm stay healthy, get stronger also help with agility, and keep conditioned. The boy does have toughness, you cant really teach that tbh.
That clip of him running into the endzone was crazy! I don’t even think most running backs can take all those hits!

His career will be shorter than a midget if he keeps that up!
I mean he is from Brazilian

His stiff arm is basically a punch 😂
bros gonna have 9 KO’s on his NFL stat sheet 😂😂😂😂
This kid will have double CTE
No risk no reward

Yea. Especially if he spars too hard. On the other hand, this QB can take the hits. Especially the upper body ones.

i was just about to say this😭😭😭
He can knock some dudes out on and off the field

Those hits were crazy! He was getting hit from every direction 🤯

His quixk footwork, thinking and hand speed are gonna make him a 1st rounder for sure
The footwork in boxing as shown in the video will help him stay consistent as a passer ssuming he a good decision maker.
His daddy was a friggin MONSTER!

Honestly with that training I’d love to see him play on the other side of the ball, dude would force so many fumbles as a safety.

Get your facts right , first Brazilian to get a power 5 (football) scholarship was Klaus Miyashiro.

You can’t bulldoze yourself like that in the NFL. You’ll wake up in the offseason.
That was 6 big hits and he was still standing😮
His Dad is great for sure. He however is too slow and sub par for the ring, will not make it. On the streets though, he would knock someone out.
He is an amazing athlete but if he wants to go to the nfl one day it will be near impossible to get a contract while doing boxing. So any nfl team is going to tell him to drop the boxing.

No. QB s are the computers of the game. Making decisions in split seconds. It's not a savage position. Dude would better play LB. Or box pro.
That hit was ugly. If he take those from supremely fit 200lb pro linebackers and strong safeties, ughhh.....!

Yeah, probably because when you punch, and as you throw the ball in the more you punch, I’ll give you more power the third ball
Yes most definitely! I've always said I'd love for more football players to cross train with boxing. Can help with footwork so much.

Maybe boxing brings footwork, builds resistance to wear and tear on your shoulders, and thrusts from your hip and legs to create power.
He's going to be extremely good boxing helps with stamina boxing helps for grit and you're literally afraid of nothing and calculated
Won’t make it in the NFL. A lot of GM won’t offer contracts to players who want to play in another high risk sports because of injuries.

He can be great in college, but coming into the NFL thinking you're gonna run over those DT's, nah, not even your pops will save you.
His boxing is going to help his arm stay healthy, get stronger also help with agility, and keep conditioned. The boy does have toughness, you cant really teach that tbh.
As a UVA fan who’s been doing both football and boxing for years now, I couldn’t be more pissed that he’s going to Virginia Tech
Boxing is great for QBs footwork and rotational movement when throwing a punch it stars from the ground up same as throwing a football
Oh yea, his boxing will make him a beast at qb his foot work will be insane and his speed to read his opponents...crazy
Surprised more QB don’t box. Would be amazing footwork and speed training.
