I love your videos ! I’m a pct, currently taking nursing pre reqs... and let me just say, what I learn here has helped me so much! Understand more in depth these issues in dialysis ! Thank you so much for breaking it down ! It makes it so much easier to remember:)
hello, lindsey love your videos, pls make a video on parathroid complications in HD patients, i am HD patient and a pharmacist , and struggling with parathyroid complications for years .
Excellent video!! I did not know that iron could also be lost in the dialyzer. We have been having extra trouble lately with high arterial pressure and air alarms with microbubbles in the lines...and more dialyzer blood loss and hgb dropped to 9.2. I may be cannulating arterial too close to the vessel wall. We are trying to see an interventional radiologist for the first time tomorrow. (Don't want to if it is just my cannulation technique.. we have always had to pillow arterial to not get pressure alarms) Curious if you see these pressure and air issues much due to the needle not being in the middle of the fistula? (I am afraid of infiltrating because I don't know how deep it is and don't feel the buttonhole flap open lately like I used to.) Do you see many fistulas harmed due to interventional radiology? I know they help a lot of people but my senior Mother and her fistula are fragile. I appreciate your time and do not expect there to be an answer for everything. I just know that if I don't ask there for sure won't be an answer. ❤
Going to Interventional Radiology is the perfect intervention for ur issues. Fistulas need a lot of maintenance/up keep. I think a lot of ur questions should be answered at ur appt today. I hope it goes well, and of course, u gave me another idea for a video 😀
@@dialysisnurselindsey thank-you so much for this response! I am so scared to let anyone touch her access but I don't want to be negligent and not maintain it properly. We have a 3:30pm access appt today. Is there a high chance that an interventional radiologist could do an unneccessary procedure on a fistula and accidentally cause harm? Do you believe he will truly be able to determine if the extra microbubbles are from my cannulation method or if they are from a stenosis etc? Will he just pop us on his Monday surgery list because he has an opening? 🤯
My father iron is 1557 he’s on dialysis and he take eypo 4000 and 10000 but his blood is dropping down and he get fever and chill everyday. Please reply me

I think u will feel more comfortable after you talk to the radiologist. They might do an ultrasound on her arm too 🤗
@@dialysisnurselindsey That makes sense and then it may become more routine. Thank-you! 💟
