Hope this helped champs! They have a ton of smaller sizes to choose from also. Mirrors I have 👉 bit.ly/HomeDepotMirror Screws and Anchors I recommend 👉 amzn.to/2TCnP2Z
Wow great find! I am building my garage gym, and mirrors were the final piece of the puzzle. I ordered 4 of the mirrors, 2 J-Molds, and an extra pack of Mirror Brackets with drywall anchors. Thanks again!
This is the way to go. I once did this with the narrow $10 mirrors and it was a pain using 4 clips per mirror times 10 or so mirrors. Using the right hardware is important. The J-molding was a clever fix! You have a good eye for gym aesthetics.
Just did this project with 2 of those exact mirrors side-by-side and 72" J molding. However, I used a stud finder to anchor the J molding and top clips to the studs. I didn't even bother to use clips for the sides because the mirrors are stable enough and more holes in the wall was unnecessary.
The J Moulding says it supports up to 50LBS. 2 mirrors weigh 66LBS. Have you had any issues? I plan to use 1 J molding strip, 2 60x36 mirrors and mirror adhesive to the wall. No clips.
@@daviduriarte3399 No issues whatsoever for the past 2 years. I've never used mirror adhesive so I don't know how strong it is, but I didn't want to ruin my wall like that. If you're concerned it's not strong enough, I would recommend securing the top with 3 clips total (1 on each edge and 1 shared between the 2 mirrors in the middle. They probably don't need to be drilled into studs if you're already using mirror adhesive.
Thanks for the video. Planning to do the same. You could have just put the clips which came on on studs directly. If they are 3 ft wide their must be at least two studs to put the clip in.
We were looking everywhere for a mirror and finally found these at Home Depot. But still had a question about how to install. Then I ran into your video and it really helped us decide what to buy and how to go about installation in our gym room. Thank you for posting this! Your gym looks incredible. Ours will be a combo of Boxing/Muay Thai/Zumba gym. These mirrors will help with form and also make the small room look bigger. Thanks again!
You are the best. Thank you so much. I've been wanting to add mirrors to my home ballet/Pilates studio and was devastated to learn that the Home Depot mirrors I'd purchased previously had shot up in price to something I couldn't afford. I'm ordering these today and putting them up this weekend. Thank you so much!!!
Nice bro it's pretty simple. Just Measure the width total of the mirrors you will put up and then cut the j mold at that length if needed. Then measure the height you want the top at and mark it and then mark the bottom where the j mold will go. Use a level so you can get the j mold straight and then start nailing it in or screwing it in. Then put mirror on top and hold it while you screw in the mirror clips. Make sure it's holding up well, add extra clips if needed and you should be go to go :)
heads up that the mirrors listed here are .15 inches, however the anchors/mounts recommended are for .25 thickness mirror. be careful on that. Lowes has a .25 mirror at the same price but whether you want the added weight when hanging is a question to consider.
I did the same setup at home, like a dance studio. The issue I have is even tho the mirrors are flush next to one another, the reflection won't be as flush (this is especially visible in the video between 2nd and 3rd mirrors, same issue with mine.) I think probably due to thinness of these mirrors (1/8"). However the incredibly cheap price justifies the purchase.
Maybe try putting some kind of glue to hold it tighter to wall in middle, that should help. Mine look plenty good for my use, but if you want closer to perfection you’d have to get those thick really big mirror which would obviously cost a lot more but that’s the next option I know of.
Installing these this weekend, wish me luck! Thanks for the info. I did go with J Molds, unfortunately Home Depot currently does not carry them so I had to source them fronLowes
just bought everything. I'm only using one mirror (3 foot by 5 foot). I'm a little nervous about these little nails holding the J Track at the bottom with the weight of the mirror though. But the holes are so small you have to use the nails.
Awesome home gym Matt! I really like the mirrors. I wish I installed these before I set my small home gym up. Now I have a half rack in the way lol. I’m currently using these cheap mirrors from Target, one day will upgrade to something similar to what you have. Keep up the great videos!

Great video man! How would you suggest us hanging these mirrors in the workshop against metal I beams? Maybe attach 2 x 4’s to the metal beams and then hang the mirrors?
We are a little concerned about the sturdiness of the plywood wall in our basement that we want to attach these to. Do you think they would be fine resting on the ground and anchored to the wall? What would be your recommendation?
They are very light so your plywood wall should hold it easily. The only thing is you want them to be in straight and flat position as much as possible because the mirrors aren’t super thick and if they get a bend in them it can distort the reflection image.
No adhesive was used. They’re not very heavy and once you have them straight up against wall the weight doesn’t really pull outward so nails or screws should be fine
I put two of these up recently, great price for the mirrors... unfortunately my drywall is so uneven, getting the mirrors levelled was a mess since they would bend slightly. Ended up just putting two up. Used that j-channel as well. Was planning a posting a video, but all the footage was basically me dropping f-bombs for like 30 straight minutes. Yours look much more even than mine. Good work!
Using these mirrors and that specific J-Molding, are the mirrors perfectly flush to the wall? I'm worried the molding will push it a MM off the wall at the bottom then I'll bump into the mirror one day and break it! Great video BTW
