Blessings, my Scottish Detectorist friend, from this old timer in Tennessee. Great finds…but, you’re right…yesterday’s SILVER finds will be tough to beat. Blessings.
You did do ok John and not bad at all for just a few hours. I wouldn’t complain about that and you’re just spoilt with all that silver 😂 thanks for the video and look forward to the next 👏
Another fantastic history lesson about the corruption of dirty Bertie and about his father’s illness. And the spring! I would think there would be something waiting to be found near there! Have a great one…
Lunchbox is better today with a new video from Scotland 🏴! I said that I would be sleeping in that field- that field is a once in a lifetime opportunity mate!
'IF I like the channel hit the button' ..... I LOVE THE CHANNEL! Watching your videos is my HAPPY time. I have a brand new Deus II i purchased and still haven't had a chance to use it! I will though... just have to keep watching and learning from the MASTER JOHN! Thank you as always
Meh 15 miles is just a good stretch of the legs…. 😂😂😂 nice finds looking forward to you and Simon back at it th ms for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼 p.s. bummer on the car.
No John I think to find more than you did in part 1 would be just greedy 😂 and your right about finding just 1 coin, finding 1 always sends home contented. You have an excellent field there looking forward to your next dig in it.
Good stuff John, I consider it a good day when I get a hand forged relic or square nails, course “old” in my area is 1800’s. But always enjoy the videos.
with the amount of shiny things you have pulled out of the ground recently i hope sneeky pete and the rest of the lads have started calling you long john silver. nice vid as always btw.
Well done again John like you say I found 9 coins one day the next day nothing, and I've got you 2 more followers here in torquay devon ,all the best Ricky.
The romans coined several phrases from fighting picts, such as havin a BLUE day, or feeling BLUE. Apparently Picts painted themselves blue in battle, sort of a war paint I suppose. Thinking of a story of a Native American plains Indian whose father or gr father is Scottish. I saw him in a kilt belonging to his fathers clan. Cant remember his name...
You mention you're headed to the Hebrides, that's a trip on my bucket list! Not sure if you get much time for reading fiction, but there's an excellent thriller trilogy by Peter May set on the Isle of Lewis, The Lewis Trilogy: The Blackhouse, The Lewis Man and The Chessmen. May also edited a beautiful photo book called Hebrides. Well worth a look.
Well done John good fines lucky sod, who ever said the jocks are tight fisted thy are throwing there money away where you are all the best from the sunny fields of Somerset
Well sir, after that completely stellar day you had in that field you had to know that the field would pay you back for it somehow lol. If you can get access to the spring proper you would likely find a whole bunch of stuff. I suspect it is protected though. Folks have thrown coins into the water for thousands of years - especially springs. I note that you didn't mention the saint's name. Security reasons I assume.
John, I have googled your detector and it says it’s waterproof…. Is there another reason that you don’t detect the water? Just curious. OLD Walls and waterways intrigue me!
Great WW2 history! You need another History channel, but this random info is worth more than a college course. Factoid about Japanese in Germany; A Japanese statesman gave thousands of visas to Jews to leave Germany until his hands were bleeding and he was recalled to Japan
You are blessed to be digging on areas that can have all kinds of wonderful finds so does not matter what happens it is all good fun 😉
I agree
Blessings, my Scottish Detectorist friend, from this old timer in Tennessee. Great finds…but, you’re right…yesterday’s SILVER finds will be tough to beat. Blessings.
Absolutely glorious day! Loved seeing the natural spring, plus the story to go along with it…✌️🤍
That little hidden spring is magic!
Take a sample of water and check if can drink it.. most likely better than your facet 💧 water
Good finds and beautiful sky. Love the landscape.
Fun hunt. They can't all be four silver days. Thanks for sharing!!!
Amen. Many thanks and thanks for supporting my channel. Happy hunting!
John

You did do ok John and not bad at all for just a few hours. I wouldn’t complain about that and you’re just spoilt with all that silver 😂 thanks for the video and look forward to the next 👏
Nice little video John. In that short space of time ... I'd be happy with that 😉👍
Another fantastic history lesson about the corruption of dirty Bertie and about his father’s illness. And the spring! I would think there would be something waiting to be found near there! Have a great one…
You got out, enjoyed some fresh air, and found some coins. I’d be thrilled with that! The silver is still waiting there for another time!

Every day detecting is a good day son. Top job 👏
I think the Edward VII ha'penny would be 1907 as his coinage started from 1902 John. Enjoy the channel very much.
Aha! That explains why I couldn’t find a 1901 online!! There was me thinking I had a million pound rarity 😛 thanks Philip
Thanks John, great dig! Have a stunning day!

Thanks for sharing your day. Too bad the coins weren’t spread out a little. Hoping the garage does a great job for you.
Well, the silver streak comes to an end, but a few great videos coming soon!!
I used to work in the Outer Hebrides John. Lived on Benbecula (Army so lived on camp). Worked on South Uist ! Would be great to see you over there!!😊

It may just be me but I consider 3 hours metal detecting far better than the best day at work.
Thank you 👍
Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker W.W.

It's 96 degrees F (35.5 degrees C) here in Missouri in the U.S. today. I wish it would rain here!
Alls good. Go get your Van looked after.

Hello from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. If i find something older than 200 years old, to me it's Ancient!
When i found a KG 2 dated 1739, I was " over the moon"😂

Excellent! Thanks Alan
43K!!!!
You can't get silver every day or they won't be special when you do get them. Good luck on your next dig❤

John, Are you allowed to detect around the source of or in the spring?
Bring back the Garret carrot...
Ha! Ha! I'm sure Berty knew about wine and women before he got to the USA.
Hahaha 🤣 I bet he did
John, I have googled your detector and it says it’s waterproof…. Is there another reason that you don’t detect the water? Just curious. OLD Walls and waterways intrigue me!
But did you manage to relocate your possible find circle?
What is that plant with the pink flowers by the spring?
