I think that Märklin comes early with another version with other road number. BTW I got also her sister from Märklin - the german DR 08 1001 - rebuilt SNCF 241-A-4 which remained in Germany after WW2. 🙂 Have you seen also my 1-gauge version of this beauty?: 😃 ua-cam.com/video/0NXEgsMokSk/v-deo.html
Yeah. Did you notice that Märklin will make her in 1-gauge? Costs a lot but will be a big beauty. I considered to buy her but I buy rather FEF-3 UP 844 from USA Trains in 1 gauge. Costs $ 3.000. 😱
Utterly stunning I was looking at this model but could not see any good reviews until your stunning vid....well done....I will watch the rest of this vid later as I have to go out now....👍👍
Yeah Jim. That's the reason why I made this video better than normal. The loco deserves it! I was looking for better detailed videos also before purchase, but nothing better found. So when I became mine, I decided to make detailed video. Maybe with 29 minutes is long, but everyone can decide on himself if he watch the whole video by resting / relaxation or you can skip some slow parts of video. This video is tribute for this great model from Märklin / Trix.
Max Supercars Cool....is it Trix 22941 Anyway I just ordered one from France with big discound as ebay were doing 20% off all items today in the u.k it looks a suberb loco...thanks again for the vid....Jim
Jim, yes it's Trix 22941. I'm glad that my video motivated you to buy it. You will be satisfied. I will become second one next week because I preordered it at more shops... :D
Jim here is interview with the CEO of Märklin. He said himself that they had not awaited such big demand on this model. It was made primarily for french customers, but there is high demand from Germany and other countries. The model is stunning. Here interview, see 2:15 min: ua-cam.com/video/opST0wOAzow/v-deo.html
Nice machine. What’s the long, slightly upwards sloping cylinder coming off the front of the cylinder/ valve box that has a brass fitting on the end of it? I haven’t seen one of those on any steam engine before.
Is sold out. There was a big demand for her. But try to search for Trix BR 08. It is the same loco but german version with other tender. Probably this one is still available...
No I didn't. It is for display only. The trailing wheels could then not move from side to side. I use big R4 curves, but it would not work. The steamgen I didn't tryed because I have seen videos where it sputters a lot so I didn't want to make the boiler dirty. I got a lot of locos with steamgen so it's nothing special. It got also no DYNAMIC function like BR 10 or BR 85 from Roco. It was a bit critized by french modelers who awaited this dynamic function for 600 €.
Thank you John! I'm glad that I have showed other people how great this loco is. Of course there are some issues which are some people critiziting but I like it very much. Honestly, I did not try the steam generator because I got a lot of other locos with steam gen and I saw videos where steam gen on this loco made the whole boiler dirty. Normally I use the steam oil from Seuthe but it's too fatty I think. I'm looking for water based fluid which should make less mess. UA-cam user "hovermotion" uses one but it's from UK. I have to look for some inside Eurozone to make shipping less expensive. To order just 1 thing and then to pay shipping is not very budget-friendly and in big model railroading web stores they got usually fluid from Seuthe which I already got.
For a very long time i thought only british and american steam engines were beautiful. Jesus christ this one is on par with duchess of Sutherland. (my personal favorite)
Marco so you have bought the loco? Great! Sound volume you change via CV: 63. Default is 255 so if you change it to 150, it should be OK for you. Test it... 😉
Thanks, but that will reduce volume of all sounds, i just want to reduce chuff sound. In for example Tsunami decoders you can adjust must sounds individually. Best regards
Ahh OK. Try CV: 139. First read it and write the original value on piece of paper. In case if it will be wrong CV, you can set it back. In CVs 140-155 should be stored other sound volumes. Here is PDF file with CV list. I'm not sure if it's OK: www.maerklin.de/fileadmin/media/service/technische_informationen/Umruestdecoder_mLD-mSD_CV-Liste_DCC.pdf
Onened up the box yesterday but on close inspection it has a rear tender light houseing missing which is very noticeable when the tender lights are on.....no loose part in the box...waiting for a reply from the ebay shop in france....not good for a 600euro model ,it will be going back I think....if I get no reply or solution from seller. marklin sell the spare part but its out of stock and the shipping is 20euro which is silly to posy a tiny pice of plastic. I will keep you updated...
Hmm bad news... :/ It seems to be sensitive part, becase the same upper rearlight was a little bit asknew on my model. I corrected it to right position just by finger, but as you wrote the rear light covers are stand-alone pieces.
Max Supercars yeah I think the quality control has slackened on the new marklin trix..I think this model is made In China as there are no id markers any where on the paperwork box or loco saying which country its made in like all the older trix marklin items I have which is strange. It ran superb at speed step one on the test track....and is otherwise a fantastic loco with great detail but for the price marklin are chargeing every tiny little part must be perfect. 👍🚄🚄🚄
Yes you're right. It's difficult to say, where the part got lost. Also the seller could put the loco out and touch the light cover. Ahh such things drive me crazy. I got similar experience at least by 3 locos from Roco. By IORE was decoder damaged, once the Sounds were wrong etc... Such things that make you sad when you are waiting for loco for weeks or months...
Yes it could be the case. Because as I said, the light covers are quite loosely attached. What I wanted to say is that I have awaited more than ORDINARY box. Loco for 600 € could have more interesting package.
wow! that amount of pipe detailing is STUNNING
Yeah I love the loco. 😍
gorgeous looking model... i was just looking at the Jouef 241P last week :)... what a difference in execution
Yes... big difference in details and also in Price... 300 € vs. 600 €.... 😃 But it is worth of it... 😊
Its so pretty, I'm pinching myself to this day that I didn't get one

@@MaxSupercars Yeah..she would be amazing even more in O guage..I just stick to Ho scale.
Beautiful locomotive!
Yes... I love her a lot! 😍😍😍
Wow. Superb. This was used with the french legs of the Orient Express right?
Hmm, I'm not sure but loco looks majestic so maybe... 😃
Wow, that is allmost Fulgurex level. Very nice indeed. You really showed the details here.
Marco thank you! I'm glad you have enjoyed it! 😊

Fantastic video and fabulous locomotive !
Thank you! Did you got also this loco? Is stunning! 😍
I intend to buy it from me
Great! Then hurry up! They are sold out!
Pour moi la plus belle Mountain d'Europe
Yeah, she is beautiful... 😊
Great vidéo
Thank you! 😊
BRAVO
Thank you! 😊
good news...the seller says not to worrie and they will order the part from marklin and post it back to me in the u.k....sorted..👍
Lovely Loco. I don't find it for sale anywhere?
Is sold out. There was a big demand for her. But try to search for Trix BR 08. It is the same loco but german version with other tender. Probably this one is still available...
have you fitted the lower plastic under cab part that comes in a bag..
also have you tried the smoke gen...
No I didn't. It is for display only. The trailing wheels could then not move from side to side. I use big R4 curves, but it would not work. Max Supercars yeah I will not use my smoke gen as it would be a shame to mess up the body around the funnel...
Yeah... I have seen you got water based smoke fluid. I have to get something similar because that from Seuthe is too greasy...
yeah its less messy and non toxic..
RENFEMikado thank you for a hint. I'll try it!
i am so happy to got one :) ABO 👍 from Peter
Great! Enjoy the beauty! I got one also in 1-gauge !!! Check her here: 😊

Superbe…!
Thank you! 😊
Very nice model...
Also the music theme is nice, what is the name of it...which movie?
Music is from slovak grand piano musician Jozef Holly, music name is I think Gladiator. Here link: ua-cam.com/video/yf0UEK2KZbg/v-deo.html
Max Supercars YES...Gladiator of course, I think i recognized the theme from a movie..thanks!
@@WhiteStar1912 You're welcome! 😉
Great video. I bought the same loco based on your presentation. Which steam distillate should I get? Thank you

Yes she is a beautiful and majestic. The golden looking parts look like jewelry on her... 🙂
Any idea where it can be purchased nowadays?
@@ivanplavljanic1057 Probably only eBay. But there are also other variants of this loco but in different paint schemes which can you buy also today.
I know a lot not got enought money to build a model railway, i recommend rolling line its a pc game on steam!
Great! 😃
What cv can i use to lower the only chuff sound volume?. I think it is quit annoying at speed.
Marco so you have bought the loco? Great! Sound volume you change via CV: 63. Default is 255 so if you change it to 150, it should be OK for you. Test it... 😉

Na,e of the song, sadly not in Describtion

That's a cover version of song from Gladiator.
