The first couple of minutes of the pivot to knee reminds me of a technique my favorite Muay Thai champ showed some Aussies in a clinic a while back. BTW the champ’s name is Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu!
I'm so glad you were finally able to arrange a meeting with Panomtuanlek. I'd been hoping for this for some time. In watching his fights from the golden era, it's fascinating that Yodwicha thinks so highly of him especially since he fought so differently from Mr. Tidal Knees. I just watched your full video with Panomtuanlek and it's clear that while he was one of the most relentless knee fighters of all time, he is very well rounded as well. I am constantly impressed by all the hidden details these legends share with you. Thanks so much for your hard work, Sylvie!
Such beautiful movement. So elegant and full of ease, yet annoyingly difficult to replicate. I guess after many years, even a lifetime, of the art, it's just so naturally smooth. I swear, it just seems like any Western fighter you watch seems to be like, stiffer, or more rigid. Or something along those lines 🤔. Anyhoo, all that aside, thanks for sharing Sylvie. It's great to see and hear you for a good length of time 😊. And to see more of Kevin's camera work 👉👉👉. 😎
When did u start fighting? How long did it take to go pro? Im fighting for some time now and thinking of going to thailand.. youre a huge inspritation!😊
very interesting video. But I wonder wouldn't twisting and opponents head along with moving him (before you get him to the position where you are about to deliver a knee then you probably want him to be facing straight down) be helpful when in the clinch. I might not know what I'm talking about but you might get more torque out of it (although movement of your hips and your legs would still be your primary thing) also you would be better protected from them escaping using their head before you lower them to position too low where this type of escape is no longer possible.
