Yo Mate the feeling of the Drag Knob...not to my liking at all feel cheap as compare to my Daiwa Reel...even my Shimano Complex have a better quality...
Airity is 175g bro not 185, 185 is the PC model which has the 4000/5000 size body and handle, the same combination can be found in Vanquish also, your Vanquish is a "C" 3000 so 2500 size body and handle, both reels have the same combinations, a lighter compact 3000 that shares a platform with the 2500 size reels and a larger 3000 that shares platform with the 4000 and 5000.
Hi Coza are u sure Airity PCLT 3000 is using 4000/5000 size reel?? I am not really sure about it but my guess the body could be 2500/3000 size body as 5000 is using 4000 size body. They do not indicate so i shall rest the case or unless it can be place side by side. Cause if u said that PC LT 3000 is using 4000 body u can use 4000 and 5000 spool on the PC LT 3000 reel...😅😅

On the body size though Shimano have been doing it for years also and it's exactly the same with the 23 Vanquish the full 3000 Vanquish shares platform with the 4000/5000. However the spools and rotors are downsized, Shimano use the 2500 size rotor and 3000 size spool, Daiwa the same but Daiwas 3000 spools are slightly wider than Shimanos and so the rotor is also slightly wider to accommodate it. Basically take either brands C3000 and change the body and handle to 4000 size but keep the rotor and spool the same, giving 2 "3000" size options, one with a 2500 body and handle and one with a 4000 body and handle for people needing more power but not wanting to go to the physical size of a 4000 spool and rotor.
I cought or rather hooked up something really big yesterday while fishing from rocks on the island of Hvar, Croatia. A tuna possibly. I was fishing for smaller fish like mackerel ect. Used shimano S9'0MH 8-48 rod and the new Vanquish 4000xg with only PE 0.8 braid. Loved the smoothness of the drag. Unfortunately i had to tide up the drag hard after few minutes or the fish would spool me out. At that point the leader broke off and I could recover the nearly 300m of my braid. What a rush that was. This morning we came back to the same spot with a heavy rod and Stella SW 8000 but typicaly caught nothing. So I switched back to a lighter set up I used the day before and caught few fishes of some of them I can't even name from 1kg to pehaps 8Kg the biggest more less.The Vanquish 4000 xg works really well for me with the rod mentioned above. It handled the bigger fish with ease. Happy with it.

Thanks for the video. I am torn between the airity and the Vanquish 2500 or 3000 for my light fishing in a fresh water and light salt fishing. I never owned a Daiwa reel but I hear good things about it. So a bit on the fence with the choice.
Yo Mate!! im using for my FEED lure rod..i have a review on the rod too.. im using for light shorecasting. MEGABASS wind buster should work well with the 3k size reel..i know that Megabass rod weight are heavy...but with the vanquish lightness will be great😊😊
can i ask for ur opinion?why do u choose ult 4 over ult 8? i bought the same exact reel as urs..but cant decide over this castline pe jigger ult 4 or ult 8 to spool it in😅

I have both 23 airity lt2500 and 23 vanquish 3000sdh. Vanquish is smoother but the look, airity is better.

Daiwa airity 3000h is 175g . 3000pc models are 185g but it’s the bigger body same frame as the 4000xh

Actually there are differences ult 4 rough compare to ult 8 more smooth. So be more carefully as the braid can cut your finger...

@@anglerfishermanz I also found my Airity 3000 to be too light for my St Croix Legend Xtreme med. The 4000 Daiwa Exist balances it perfectly.
