Beautifully in explaining, examples, details are clearly about how to use it; sending a link for exercise is the best also.

I'm mentally disabled from a stroke, and learning grammar is good for my brain. The confusion ends when I learn Lulu's lessons.

Hi, what do you think about putting the adverb at the end of the sentence?
(5:35) Lola asked the detective to inquire into this matter carefully.
Also, what do you think about the use of the perfect continuous infinitive in the following sentence?
( Similar to the one used at 11:23 with some expansion)
These days, advertisements are widely thought to have been increasing exponentially, leading to the overconsumption of consumer goods, which in turn results in the supply chain problems becoming more acute.

Yes, you can place the adverb at the end. And your expanded sentence is well constructed.

Enjoyed this lesson. But whereas an infinitive can function as a subject, direct object adj, adv. or subj. complement, can they also function this way in the 4 forms of the infinitive? Like in " I am delighted to have met my favorite singer"--- is "to have met" actually modifying anything. Same thing with most of the other sentences like " I should have received the email by now" Thank you.

Hi, the infinitive and infinitive phrases can act as adverbs modifying verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.

    Thanks so much
In the example included in this video where an infinitive functions as an adjective { we will hire some workers to put up a fence} , you put in between brackets under the infinitive phrase ( who will put up a fence). was that a relative clause describing workers??

Yes, that’s right. If you can replace the infinitive after the noun with a relative clause, then the infinitive is working as an adjective. 😊

      @@thelearningdepot thank you dear!
Some grammarians call it a non-finite relative clause since the infinitive clause and participle clause that work as a relative clause and describe the noun before them have non-finite verbs as their main verbs (infinitive and participle) and they call it a clause because they have a logical subjec somehow.

    Dear Prof,
It has been a marvellous lesson. I do adore your teaching. Your teaching is brilliant, indeed is it. I was wondering if I might dare to ask you question? Would you have any tips about using infinitive or gerund as a noun at the beginning of the sentence? How do I reckon when I should choice an infinite or a gerund? Is there any rule?
Presently, do let me say an example:
To perform in America's Got talent is Ali's dream.
    or
Performing in America's Got talent is Ali's dream.
Words cannot describe how grateful I am for teaching me that. I pay my respects to you. Andrea

Thank you so much for your kind words, Andrea. As for the infinitive or the gerund, for practical purposes, there is little difference. There are verbs that take one or the other. I'm currently working on a lesson that will cover that topic. Thanks for watching!
