Adult Beginner League Hockey Week 11 December 28, 2023. We had a big turnout of walk-on players this week. Skill levels ranged from Beginner/Novice to low D league. For the first time in league history, we also had two female goaltenders facing off against each other. It was also the first time in the net for one of the goalies. They both did a great job!

Curious… is this the typical skill level for most beginner leagues? Really scared to join and be worst player in the league

Don't be scared to play. Players at this level support each other to improve their skills. Make sure if you join a recreation league and not a league where complete teams register.

Despite being a sport known for toughness, just about everyone is super welcoming to anyone willing to step out onto the ice. Go for it! And even if you are the worst, put the work in, go skating every chance you get, and that won’t be the case for long.
