@@jerzeybeats3584 I was saying not that long ago, it would be interesting to go back to the late 70's/early 80's as i am to see what it would be like. As for musical tastes, I got more of that from dad than mum. He had an awesome Motown at 25, 5LP set which was a live celebration with all the Mortown greats there. There was ELO, The Eagles, Marvin Gaye....too many to mention. It's a shame todays music isn't as inspirational
It does create an atmosphere ...doesn't it? To me the song speaks of so much more than 'the working hour'..... Family (extended and close) Friends Potential Possibilities Responsibilities Relaxation The Work that we all have to do.....whether it is for a company we despise or work we do for our own personal growth and satisfaction And behind and underneath it all something even more wonderful that can not be put into words...... Peace to all here.
16 years old and probably would have never heard this entire album if it weren't for my mom playing it on long car rides, and god am I glad she did. Fucking legendary, shame most people only know the big singles from it and nothing else.
I went to see TFF in August, 1985 at the Apollo Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, South Australia. They mesmerised the packed venue with their sheer brilliance. I vividly remember when they finished the set they had walked off the stage only to suddenly return. Roland said "we forgot to do a song" and we all went crazy. Pure genius at such a young age. You don't see this anymore.
I was supposed to have seen them on the 16th July....so last weekend but cancelled as Curt had injured his ribs.... typical!!! At least me & my wife got to go to Kew Gardens on the 8th July to see James Morrison & Will Young....they were both amazing
Same RIP now. But he told me that he would always be with me in thr music every strum of thr guitar string to remind me he said. I miss him ffs fkn covid bs and that was before they knew wtf it was n it's been gone since 2019 and not tio open a can of worms but it was gone by this time last yr and just used and made politics of and that was like the worst added insult to injury I'd rather remember him without that fkn scamdemic they knew of well in advance! The dr told him he had 6mo tio 2yr then grab his shoulder on the way out and whispered "much less time than that my friend"on this growling evil voice like wtf I didn't get it till now cuz it didn't seem like a joke! Not even 2 weeks later. Pneumonia! But he has a defibrillator and 4 surgery back to back smh damn it I hurts
This album is pure genius the way each song build and evolves so ahead of it's time it's like progressive music and they recently did this 10yr ago in trance and progressive dance music. But I grew up on this stuff and didn't realize how amazing it all was when I can hear the previous song elements and elements of the next and yet it's neither doesnt use any cheap gimmick to accomplish it. But has anyone else noticed that there's no new music made anymore? Especially of this quality weather ya like the song or not one can't deny the genius in it. The entire album
This reminds me so much of San Diego. I was in the Navy then, and the barracks & base had some great musical outlets. Swell memories. They were filming Top Gun.
Wow deja vu. I was a midwest college student on spring break looking for an INXS cassette at a record store in Pacific Beach when they played the entire album of "Songs from the Big Chair" and "Some Great Reward" (Depeche Mode) and I walked out with all 3!!! (oh, third being the original sought after item "Shabooh Shoobah" (INXS)...
I found this song by chance while shuffling the youtube before going to sleep. The song brings me 30 years back when I was about to conclude my high school. Whata memories!
wow! How awesome is that, the Son of a mix engineering legend. I absolutely chuffed that you've heard this particular upload of this Tears For Fears material because I think the sound quality is top notch. I'm into tweeting the sound prior to uploading. Thanks again for commenting
Kaum Einer kennt diese Band, aber das ist ein ganz großer Fehler! Wer das jetzt nicht erforscht ist selber Schuld.... Geniale Stimme , genialer Gesang (Beautiful Musik and Voice!) Thats a Kind of the 80s Wir werden Sie Alle fertig machen😎

Well said
Because the "working hour" is much of our life. Constant living, loving, learning and the struggles therein.
This makes me think of when I would lay and listen to this song over and over and over and write poems in my room
one of my favorite songs on the planet, been that way for 8 years!
One of the best songs on this album 👍 very underrated song. Luv this song very relaxing puts me in a good mood.

Stand out track on a great album.
I agree
Absolutely 💯
I've made it clear to my loved ones that should they be put in that unenviable position, I want to be laid to rest to this song.

Nice to meet you!
The definition of a masterpiece... my fav 💜
This album..
Beautiful song,nice arrangements,just awesome!!
One of very few albums for me personally that can be listened to from start to finish
There was nothing else like it out there at the time, Simple minds and other bands experimented with new sounds, however not many would add lyrics.
This was my anthem album in college. Play the heck out of that cassette tape.
I've done that before today
Una de las mejores canciones que haya escuchado alguna vez en esta vida
