Good video! I think the major difference, which you kind of alluded to, is that this extension is clearly not a ploy or last-ditch effort to salvage anything. The campaign was successfully funded, and all of the stretch goals were already met. There is nothing else to be gained by extending the deadline other than making sure those who might've been confused and waited too late because the app said they still had another day. It's a good CYA move by Hasbro and doesn't look desperate.

Hey Neighbor…. Something else I wonder about with Star Wars and Marvel Haslabs…. How much of the cut goes to Disney?? I bet they get their paws in it.. unlike Gi Joe which is 100% a Hasbro product which gives them complete freedom. Just a thought! Great vids!
I guarantee you’re right. The licensing fee adds to the cost but those teams or Hasbro need to figure that out. You can’t just slap Star Wars or Marvel on something and then overcharge your fan base. Hasbros IP definitely gives them more freedom. And thank you for that!

Well, you have to keep in mind about the original offering. Does the ORIGINAL offering have value? Because that is what you could end up with if it only just funds. The Dragonfly with all its loadout at $275 with Wild Bill was already a reasonable value. We weren't guaranteed the 3 other figures. It funded in just over 24 hours and shortly thereafter we got Ripcord. As each tier unlocked the value increased. By the time Crazy Legs was unlocked, it has become a FANTASTIC value! Four figures and a giant helicopter at $275 is amazing. The final count thus far, as of this typing, is 22.5K backers with 14 hours to go. If there was a 4th tier, we'd have unlocked it too :)
All of this! Yes, same with the HISS, Galactus, and a few others. If the base offering looks like a solid value the tiers are truly just extras. If you feel the tiers on any project needs to be included then the base offers you no perceived value and others likely feel the same way.

Great by Hasbro but I do have to wonder why they did not time the end to coincide with their panel at this year's Comic Con? Comic Con is this weekend and that would have been great exposure to a ton more people to advertise this Haslab and get more sales.
Well said my friend. I backed the HISS and transformers Deathsarus and these are really value for your buck. Although I didn't back the Dragonfly, due to my wallet needing the bacta tank to recuperate, it is also valid for money 💷.

Because even the greedy hasblo folks knew that an extension wouldn't help the Rancor, (bonus rocks? no thanks) or the reva saber for a character that nobody wanted.
It’s a shame because both products weren’t bad but the cost and the offerings were. And yes you can’t force nostalgia for a new character that felt forced(see what I did there?)
I've been thinking something similar about the Skystriker. Hell, a 15-20 minute extension would have gotten me and the others "Ketchup & Mustard." Haha!

I’m not bashing black series collectors or people who wanted the Rancor but a day wouldn’t have made a difference. The tiers sucked. Haslab team should have done better.

After tax and shipping it cost about $315 ish... Still kind of a lot to me lol but I love everything about this, and I kinda sorta not really have the money so I'm justifying it as a college graduation gift to myself at the moment... But Ripcord was the real sell for me. What a badass figure lol and because of the colors, and his drop gear, and they call him a HALO dropper (I know it stands for high altitude low opening) I can't help but think of him as the G.I. Joe version of an ODST from Halo. Instant selling point, but the price still stings... My plan is to hopefully sell some stuff in the mean time to recoup the cost, and try not to think about it too much
I watched that Rancor in real time at the end, it came so close. One more better offerening in the set and it would have made it.

Ah, neighbor! But is isn't the Legends team being greedy; that's bc of Disney/Marvel.. they take a huge chunk and the ML team always has their backs up against the wall.
You know what, to be fair, that’s actually what I mean when I say Star Wars or Legends. I think most people make that connection. It’s the Disney licensing that impacts the cost and it really shouldn’t. The Legends/Star Wars/Disney Team could find a way to bring value to their fans. It’s greedy to run a HasLab for the Razorcrest just to blow it up in the episode the day after the campaign ended. They all knew they were building a doomed ship haha.

Probably due to the fact they own the IP and therefore don't have to pay to extend any license agreements. This means they can let people meet all stretch goals easily.

I really, really appreciate someone in the community not posting some crazy conspiracy filled hate video but rather sharing the honest and up front reason for the extension that Hasbro clearly explained for anyone who may have missed the reason for the extension.

Real answer?? No one was supporting the Rancor of the lightsaber. And a bunch a sheep let reviewers talk them out getting Ghost Rider. Complaining about crap that didn't matter on anything else.
The Rancor was closer to funding than any out of the 3 examples. That $349 price point for GR was what killed it. And then the whole throw in Robbie’s head fiasco.
@@BaldyLockz true. Very true. But when Marvel decided to change some things around, people still complained. Saying it wasn't an army builder, that the pieces like the muffler weren't an independent piece. The lights and switches all over the car were worth a high price point than, if all unlocked, 5 figures. A maefx figure with all those lights would cost 350 and that's one six inch figure

It was clearly explained why it was extended. Hasbro made a mistake on the app. No hidden agenda. They did the right thing. Has nothing to do with previous Haslabs.

There’s nothing to figure out. You’re right, the hikes are INSANE across the board. Have been for a while now. Proof is at any store where these figures are on clearance: ML, GIJC, Neca, McF, MOTU, etc
The clearance price should be the market averages and it’s still on the high end. Especially for Legends where you get crap for accessories.
