Thank you for sharing! I find your system amazing! And the fact that you are willing to let a book "sit" for some time so you can go back with a fresh set of eyes and a selective mindset.
I love the explanation of your process and thank you for the video. I hope to better fine-tune my system of note taking so that I can refer back to the things that I read with purpose and satisfaction. Your notebooks are lovely and inspirational! 😊
Thank you for this video. I have been wanting to create some sort of system to keep track of my reading, but I haven't decided yet. I admire people who can do such a detailed job of it. I'm not sure that is for me. (The smaller/less detailed notebook you showed might be better for a beginner like me.) But I do love seeing it and hearing about it.
I love this! So helpful. I want to start reading again and learning from it, so have been watching videos on keeping a reading journal. Most videos show how to make scrapbook/bujo type reading journals whose focus is on being cute. I wanted something where the focus is on collecting information so I can refer to it later and learn from it. Your journals and system are perfectly that! AND they're cute, too! Just love that. Thank you for all of the wonderful ideas and inspiration.
This was really interesting and informative for me, I’m still new to commonplacing so your system has given me lots to think about & see if I can implement this into my system. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for sharing what you do with reading journals. I like the dot system and will adopt it. Btw, I am fond of Carlos Fuentes, too. I’m currently reading one of his novels.
Your video popped up in my recommendations & I'm glad I clicked. I also keep a reading journal and now I feel inspired to make my own video. Thank you for sharing this with us, since this is such a personal and intimate thing. Subscribed. 🤎
Hello Yngrid ! Love your channel - became a new subscriber ! Your videos are very helpful to me and i took a lot from your notebooks and incorporated to my own commonplace books. But i struggle with one thing still - how to put my notes into a commonplace book when i'm reading multiple books at the same time. I am very eclectic in reading and often skip between books and also i try to commonplace after each chapter or two (mostly because i find it very daunting to do it all after whole book - it feels to me a bit overhelming and my books are non-fiction so i have many many notes and my own thoughts) Do you have any advice ? Should i maybe reserve some space for each book i read in my commonplace book ? (but then there is always a problem with how much and so on) Thank you in advance and all the best !
@@annapikku Welcome! I actually bought other notebooks for when I need to write down my notes and I am still working through the notebooks in my Rotterfaden. In the end, it will be a collection of commonplace books so it doesn’t really matter if I can’t fit it in my cover. Hope that helps :)
Oh what a shame! Even the best of these journaling vids(these)gloss over pertinent details and don’t really explain the integration of ohh never mind!!!

I love your video. Thank you! I also collect Roterfaden's, they're the best and coolest book/journal covers.
Lovely organization. If only my handwriting could look as neat as yours.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. What size notebooks do you use?
A5
What notebook or paper are you using for your reading journal? I love the layout of your notes.
I use a Rotterfaden dotted notebook. I draw the margins myself.
