- What does the inside of a Grenade look like? We cut two open to see! We cut open an apple grenade and a pineapple grenade. They were not live grenades but still gave us a good idea of what it looks like inside and how they work.
WARNING: No live grenades were used in this video. We used Tannerite Explosives to explode the Toaster oven but were under the supervision of experts so do not try this on your own. Shooting guns or using Tannerite can be very dangerous. Doing these things should only be attempted with adequate knowledge and training, and under constant qualified adult supervision. Have fun, but always think ahead, and remember that any project you try is at YOUR OWN RISK. Remember our motto "We cut things open so you don't have to." so we do not recommend you try anything we do.

im pretty sure that their is no timer, no sensor or electronic bit. it is a fuse, a wick of a candle if you will, that burns down and ignites the high explosive. the time it takes to burn being the delay on the grenade.

Most people don't know that it's not the explosion that kills you on a hand grenade it's the shrapnel that kills you
it's the concussion. shrapnel just finishes you if you're out of the way of the initial explosion they both do alot of damage

yes the explosion can kill but you can easily out run it in the three seconds you have but the shrapnel will still kill you
the grenade starts at 5 seconds and the person will thyrow it usally right away the farthest you can throw one it will land with 3 seconds left if you noptice it inststantly you can easily get away from the explosion radius

Apple grenade:
The iGrenade. It's perfectly smooth and doesn't have a pin to pull. But they'll sell you an adapter.
The ones I was issued in the Marine Corps had pins on the fuse assembly! That is what you pull out to release the firing mechanism that is held down by the spoon/handle. When you pull the pin and throw the grenade the spoon/handle flies off and the spring loaded firing pin strikes the primer in the grenade that lights the fuse that ignites the explosive charge inside the grenade body and that is what blows up the grenade and sends shrapnel and little steel balls flying everywhere in a 40 meter radius! If you don't believe me hold one in your hand for 5 seconds and see if it goes off in 3.5 seconds or stand there and put one in a microwave and release the spoon and shoot the door on the microwave and start running and see if you don't get shrapnel in your backside! ALL hand grenades have a pin or striker of some kind that is pulled to start the fuse burning while it is being thrown in the air so it will go off as soon as it hits the ground! Even the old German potato masher grenades on a stick had a pin on a cord that you pulled to ignite the fuse inside the grenade!

Below the projectile bullet is the propellant, commonly called powder because it is often gunpowder. Surrounding the ammo is the case. At the bottom of each cartridge pictured is what's called a primer. When the hammer hits the cartridge the impact ignites the primer, when then lights the propellant.

Someone didn't watch the video. It wasn't a live grenade. No live grenades were ever in possession of this guy or his kid. They bought dummy or "demilled" (meaning they were once live, and made to be undangerous) grenades on Amazon, shot the firsst part with the kid leaving the dummy grenade in the toaster, the cut that video footage with footage of the same toaster being exploded with tannerite explosives (which require a high powered rifle round to be shot through it to explode).

+Dean Ambrose Yes we do have a major problem with weapons. It is really hard to get good Russian heavy weapons here. RPGs are so rare the cheapest go for close to $7000. Major problem indeed. Just a few weeks ago I was trying to get a BMP for my anti-tank BMP upgrade but could not find a single one, and the upgrade does not fit the Ferret Scout Vehicle at all.

These are not real grenade they are practice grenades. They put a small blasting cap inside and the hole alloweS the pressure to leave and makes a loud pop. That way soldiers can practice throwing them and NOT DIE.
