Smoked Buffalo Chicken Dip

  • This Buffalo Chicken Dip to be one of the easiest and tastiest dips you'll ever make. You can load it up with smoked chicken and you have yourself a hearty dip for tailgating!
    I start by smoking a whole chicken seasoned with The Gospel for ~1 hour at 425. I pull\shred that meat to use in the dip. Whole chicken is the cheapest way to buy chicken and smoking it adds a great layer of flavor depth to the dip. Alternatively you could buy a rotisserie chicken.

    Matt, please, please order up like 100 of these Meat Church cutting boards and sell them. I want one. Its looks to be approx. 40"x30" and I would love a large one like this.

    I use the same recipe for sliders. Use the Hawaiian dinner rolls with that recipe in the oven at 350 for 15 minutes, butter and seasoning on the bread. Awesome stuff

    I got my order of The Whole Shootin Match on Saturday. On Sunday I made the smoked sausage balls for breakfast, and this dip for the football game. Outstanding!

    Hey Matt, love the videos they are very inspirational for me. I'm new to smoking, started on a tiny Pit Boss tabletop about 5 months ago. My first cook was 2 slabs of ribs, and it was very fun and so tasty. I have done about 5 cooks of various things, and all came out great, so I purchased a Z-Grills 11002b. Today, (Oct 2nd, 2022) I will be cooking 2 whole chickens on it for the first cook. Now down the rabbit hole of rubs..lol. I picked up 6 of your rubs and plan to use them all along with the 20 or so others I had to have. I hate winter however I plan to do some winter smokes here in Shit-Cago. Thanks for what you do and keep up the great videos.

    Adding some mozzarella and a little blue cheese makes all the difference in creaminess as well. Highly recommended

    I think I need to try cooking my spatchcocked birds at 425. I usually do them at 340 coated with duck fat and then seasoning. I think I’ll get a crispier skin at this higher temp. Thanks Matt! Meeting you at the FWFWF is still one of my favorite trips btw!

    I’m from Buffalo NY and unfortunately it’s a sin to use ranch lol rooties blue cheese and the top it with crumbly blue! Hahaa we have ranch here but this is a blue cheese city! That being said everything Matt makes is amazing so I don’t doubt this tastes great!

    We do a half a cup of shredded cheese mixed in from the start instead of the blue cheese and it's better honestly.

    It's unfortunate that Traegers don't produce smoke at that temp. You might at well have put it in the oven. Either way, it does look amazing! Great video!

    I'm jealous of that bottle of Frank's.. Here in The Netherlands only the smallest size bottle is sold, which is tiny. Just onder 150ml, or 5 oz :( I think that the small bowl with sauce is more than that. And don't even get me started on trying to get ranch dressing.

    BAM! Perfect timing. Not sure about the offset hitting 425 without absolutely scorching the bird.... But maybe?

    • @MeatChurchBBQ
      @MeatChurchBBQ  3 роки тому +1

      I wouldn’t run an offset that high, but cooking the bird at that temp isn’t important. Just cook it how you like to cook chicken.
