I hate to be one of those people, but it's time like this where I really feel I was born too late. To see malice mizer live would've been the experience of a life time.
all of their eras are beautiful, "merveilles" was the most commercial and visually attractive, but the other ones are beautiful in their "decadence-esque" way.
I remember I bought this VHS when it first came out and it was like $100+ or something and my parents were raging at me for spending my money on it. Totally worth it haha.
Malice Mizer is such a interesting and detailed group, too bad I had to be born so late and found them so late! I just recently found them a month ago but at least I have a lot of content I can catch up on. And Mana Sama has his UA-cam channel ^^ They are probably my favorite vkei band out there, I hope they can have their anniversary concert after covid goes away 😔
@@kamicatz they didnt disband, they went on a loooong hiatus, Klaha disappeared from public in 2007 without any explanation, but Mana, Közi and Yu~ki still hold concerts every two years (except last year because of covid19)

I discovered the band during the pandemic and I keep coming back to this show from time to time, these guys were so good its unbelievable. There's no other band quite like the confluence of genres that was Malice Mizer
i first found out about vkei in about 2021-2022, malice mizer was the first band i listened to and this was the first show I ever watched. i wish i would've known them earlier, everytime i listen to le ciel or songs like that from this show i feel like on a vacation with grandparents and my mother's side, this is so nostalgic
tbh I’d go to a concert , just to see their outfits and visuals even without the music Malice mizer is definitely different. It’s a band where you can look merely at lives and videos of their music and feel satisfaction. It’s truly different watching this make me feel a mix of emotions all completely different, if you heard S-CONSCIOUS and le ciel you defo be surprised they’re by the same band. It disheartens me that I was born to late to see these legends perform , this band has truly aged like fine wine .

Kami was up there with Yoshiki and Shinya (Luna Sea) as the most distinctive drummer of all time. Just a shame he passed away like Raphael's guitarist and lyricist did. Talents die young and are too perfect for this world.

This is when I officially fell in love with mana. You see I’m unlabeled bc I like all humans no matter what. Mana is just such a beautiful legend. I love this band. I wish I have would known about them for years now but I only have for like a few months :/ better late than nothing tbh

MALICE MIZER＝悪意と悲劇
悪意はtetsuの時が1番感じた。
悲劇はkulahaで感じた。
バンドの真意を感じるのはやはりGackt時代。
悪意と悲劇に哀愁、色気、美、パフォーマンス、それと声の音色が重なる。
唯一無二の世界。
美しいのは当たり前に悪意、悲劇、悲しみ、余韻を感じるのは、この時代だけ。
kamiのドラムも、もっと聴きたかった。
ソロでたくさん聴きたかった。
MALICE MIZERを愛しています。

今見返すと20年以上前のライブなのに、今のGacktのVISUALIVEの原点を垣間見れる
この伝説のバンドがあと2年、いや1年でも活動を続けられていたら、どんなライブが見れたのか、どんな曲が生まれていたのかとか色々思うなぁ
最後のシングル「Le ciel」はシングルカットなのに当時の激戦のオリコンで初登場４位までいったの見ると
多分オリジナル曲を出していたらもうマリスはオリコンTOP3入れるくらいまではいけたレベルになってたのに
ほんと勿体なかった・・
インディーズからファンでした。コスプレして打ち込みボーカルコピーしてました。ガクトがソロになり、バニラまで歌いました。もしマリスミゼルのままだったらどんな世界観を魅せてくれたのか…🥺
色んな想いはあったんだろうけど多くの人がそのままのMALICE MIZERでいて欲しかったと思ってます。
この独特感はこのメンバーじゃないと出せない唯一無二、ほんとに勿体無かった

ライブ行ってました～懐かしい。この映像は1998年の横浜アリーナです。
マリスのライブはオールスタンディングだと後ろの列にコスプレの人が並ぶからそれも壮観でしたよ。
マリスのために生まれたみたいなビジュアルと声を持つGakckがいたからこそのマリス2期…今見てもすごいなと思います。
加入時Gacktはステージで飛びたいとコメントしてるので、それが叶ってるのも見どころです。
結果的に1:4の決裂をしてしまって、メジャー期間が1年ほどになってしまったのが本当に勿体なかった…。
ライブいってたとか一生の思い出ですね、うらやましすぎる。
当時このビデオを擦り切れるくらいみたファンの一人です。
今観てもこの世界観を表現してる５人がマジでかっこいい。
特にKöziとYu～kiが痺れるくらいかっこええ！
当時はキワモノ扱いしていたが、今見るとカッコいいじゃない!マジで

L'Arc～en～CielのHYDEさんのようにラルクはラルク、ソロはソロみたいに割りきって活動していたら今も絶大的なバンドだったのではないかと思います。
