- After surviving The Long Dark for 500 Days on Stalker mode...it's time to try the same on Interloper. There will be no firearms, looted hatchets or knives. We must make our own defenses and tools in order to survive this self-imposed challenge. It's time to see if we achieve victory or die a horrible death like everyone else on Great Bear Island.

The Long Dark Interloper is the hardest mode in Sandbox mode (The other difficulties are Pilgrim, Voyager and Stalker). The game describes that this mode is "For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness Survival challenge."
In The Long Dark Interloper difficulty, you start with the most minimal resources, supplies are very scarce and Wildlife is rare, but it is more dangerous
- Interloper was a new game difficulty, introduced in v.364.
- The world becomes more hostile to you as you play. Global temperature drops, wildlife and fuel resources become more scarce, and Blizzards become more frequent.
- Apart from the Hacksaw and Hammer, which spawn rarely in the world, you need to create all your own improvised tools (ex. Hatchets, Knives, etc.).
- The best Clothing and Food items do not spawn.
- Wolves are more rare, but also more deadly.
- Wildlife becomes more rare over time.
- There are no firearms in the world.

The travois is easy to use. When you want to put stuff in you "open" it. then you go to the front and "pick up" the travois. Have your deterrent equipped when you pick it up because if you need to drop it, you should pull out the last equipped item. If you don't want to carry the travois, you have to store it in a container or deploy but you can only deploy it outside and it degrades in containers. It is nifty and I used it to transport a load of gear from Forsaken Airfield back to Trapper's Cabin in ML.

I think you hit a key to start pulling it. I think it is R but you'll find it.
Tip up fishing doesnt increase fishing skill. I don't think it matters as you can catch crazy amounts of fish regardless. It is really unbalanced at the moment. I really wouldn't even bother fishing the old way. Stick another tip up in the hut.
Just stick those tip ups in front of the door. You can pack them decently close. I think the max you can have is six.

You can only pick up the travois to actually drag it if there's something in it. You can only put it back in your bag when it's empty.
I just want to say how much I enjoy these. Long Dark is a special game to me and by far yours are the playthroughs I enjoy the most

Love the fishing performance. I am looking forward for you to try baites and lures. I have tried them on the sea water and results were trully interesting. Pity you cannot catch sardines when you are on the sea.
In case it comes up again, when manually fishing you can cancel it whenever you like, you don't have to commit to the full hour or whatever, if you're, say, cooking something behind you.
If you harvest the fish you can make it into bait which I believe makes it catch bigger fish faster and crafting the different lures is also worth it to get some of the rarer fish

Put something in the sled ,there is no point equiping an empty sled :)

Reason u cant pick it up cause it was empty when it is empty and u pick it up u acutally pick it up back to ur backpack. when u put stuff in it and pick it up then thats when u can transport

With breaking open the ice so much how much did it use up the durability of your tools?
If you do a larger periods of fishing I find the more fish I catch (hand), but play your game 👍
The problem is I need to give attention to the tip ups when I am using those. If you notice they are usually ringing in less than an hour.
@@Accurize2 I understand but personally in my opinion I think the tip ups are a waste of time constantly breaking the ice😂 enjoying the episodes tho.
Click and hold on the Travois (intentionally pronouncing it truh-voy) where it says Empty and it opens up the space where you can add items like in a locker. It can only be picked up and stored in your backpack when it is empty.
Right on. From what I read I need to check some more for the hit box to drag it near the handles.
