When I saw Gusto subbed off for Disasi vs Doku I knew we were over. I would love to see Jackson on the wing or inside forward, he is fast and strong. I think Jackson is a player with huge potential, but he cannot lead atm.

If it takes a loss for the fans to realise for once that this season is 80% the player's performance and maybe 20% Poch tactics, I'll take it. This really underlined that the issue is clearly in the players performances.
Tonight is really harsh for Jackson and he'll be the one hurting the most I don't doubt it. In many respects, Jackson provided exactly what Poch was looking for at the tip of his 4-2-3-1 system. He led the press with intelligence and intensity, playing his part in forcing valuable turnovers in City's defensive third.
But on days like this, you often live or die by the ruthlessness of your strikers and Jackson's wastefulness cost Chelsea dearly.

A clinical striker has to have the ability to get the ball in the critical positions. This is Jackson's strength. He obviously has to improve his finishing. Lukaku was a finisher who didn't get the ball into the positions to score when he played with us. So whilst we may need a striker, we need to understand the entirety of our needs.
6 things learned:
• We still need a No.9
• Silva & Chalobah is our best CB pairing
• The subs & Jackson let us down
• We lacked experience and weren't clinical up front
• VAR robbed us a pen
• We MUST get 6th & hope UTD don't win the FA Cup.
I agree Jackson was poor, but people should chill out. He's not the finished article. Yes, we should sign an experienced striker. We've had key players miss basically the entire season. We are so close to being a very good team. We are not far off. We have pushed some of the best teams in the world to their limits. Poch has gameplanned very well for these big games. We should be excited for the future.
Nico played a good game yesterday. He was a handful and City couldn’t deal with him. His finishing let him down but let’s not forget his goal v Everton, he will become more consistent in the next few seasons. Great video by the way.
Absolutely on point as always. I'm torn about Nico. A few months ago his haters were complaining about his hold-up play. Today I thought that was brilliant. They also said he couldn't head the ball. As bad as he was today I do believe his finishing has improved over the season. I am prepared to be patient and see if he can continue to make the same progression with his finishing.

Jackson just ended his career at chelsea after this game unfortunately, because without a doubt, we will be idiotic if we overlook gyokeres, toney, Watkins, oshimen, or another natural striker who can finish this summer. My opinion has definitely changed now. I believe if gyokeres or oshimen or Toney is available we have to get at least one of them. I don’t believe Jackson has that aura to led to the line for a top club. He can reminds me of firmino, but the only way a player like Jackson will work is if we ditch the mid three of Gallagher, Enzo and Caicedo.

This guy plays at the highest level so of course he has the attributes but when I see soft shots or weird decisions in the final third you can clearly see he's just thinking too much and plays everything hesitantly. The last good strikers we had were Diego and Eto, that's it... This is the man first season in the PL he's doing good in terms of his playing and connecting plays. A few days ago, i saw people were saying nice things about him, but because he played badly today, it's all hate. If that was Palmer who had a bad game today, i dont think anymore would be talking like that to him. Folks, this is all part of the game. You can either support the team and players on the worst days or leave the club and support someone else. At the end of the day, you'll see Jackson playing on Tuesday, so get used to seeing him play.
Chelsea is in a transitioning period. It'll take time for everything to make sense. We are playing way better and scoring goals this season than last season. Could we have scored more and be up there? Maybe, however, that doesn't take that fact away that the team and boys are trying their best this season, which is their first season playing altogether. The problem at Chelsea is multifaceted. The club has given the manager players that aren’t fit/aren’t ready/are ant good enough. The manager doesn’t make great in game adjustments to provide solutions. The players aren’t performing to be able to bail out the manager and the club.

Maybe I misspoke. I don’t blame Poch for our injuries like some do. I personally don’t think Disasi was the best option. I would have put Disasi at CB and moved Chalobah to RB. That’s not a great option either, but Disasi isn’t the swiftest at CB, so what would putting him wider against a tekky dribbler like Doku going to result in?

Jackson was wasteful and has been wasteful all season idc how many goals he has. All this talk of Jackson being our starting striker ends today. With a tired City team this game was out for the taking. Truly disappointing.
