3:03 Sunfyre and Aegon landed in the forest so the landing was supported a bit more with the grass and vegetation, plus Sunfyre was conscious enough to protect Aegon on the way down. Meleys and Rhaenys fell onto concrete and Meleys died in the air when Vhagar crushed her throat so she wasn't able to protect Rhaenys at all
King Jaehaerys I was the grandfather of Rhaenys, Viserys, Daemon and Aemma (Rhaenyra's mother). Meleys used to belong to Princess Alyssa Targaryen (Jaehaerys' eldest daughter and sister-wife of Prince Baelon - Viserys and Daemon's father - and mother of Viserys and Daemon). After she died in childbirth, Rhaenys claimed her dragon, Meleys.
You mean Alyssa was Jaehaerys's eldest living daughter Because before Alyssa, Alysanne and Jaehaerys had a daughter named Daenerys who died when she was only 6 due to a widespread fever
The scene with Alicent being ignored by the men is interesting cuz from the reactors I’ve watched the women always focus on how the two men she relied on have pretty much back stabbed her and so on and the male reactors all ignore her or even the camera focusing on her and talk about aemond lol to the point of the whole scene lol we don’t even take the main two women of the entire show serious
its the writers fault honestly, they made both ladys so boring, at this point no one cares what comes out of their mouth. Baela is way more interesting atm or daemonds old "whore wife" who serves and council Rhaenyra. Alicent and Rhaenyra have gone through character assassination this entire season just like what happened to Tyrion in GoT after he reached Daenerys.
Vermithor, silverwing & seasmoke (laenor’s dragon, we already see it in S1 Ep3/4) are unclaimed dragons and they’re all stayed in dragonstone. Also there’s wild dragons like sheepstealer, grey ghost and cannibal. We might see the all 3 unclaimed dragons and sheepstealer cause it’s mentioned in the book. The cannibal is rumored to be the biggest dragon cause he eats other dragons but he’s untamable.
@@wxndxedit6151 I don’t think rhaena will claim sheepstealer, in the series rhaenyra said rhaena almost die trying to claim a dragon and they don’t want to risk that again. The so-called "Curse" is just an old wives tale that only the peasants and the lower orders believe. There has never been any evidence of "ghosts" in Harrenhal, all the bad events there were caused from human agency. I think it's lazy writing to retcon it so as to make up a side story for Damon. Grrrr Martin has started to cannibalise his own original story for more fame and wealth - and more importantly, (apparently) the opportunity to have an excuse not to have to turn his attention to FINISHING THAT DAMN BOOK! p.s. Oh and could they please stop rubbing our noses in that dame (again, retconned) dagger that they feel the need to in every episode. Perhaps they hope we will forget that it was Tyrion Lannister who came up with "The Song of Ice and Fire", and the long, hard winter that the White Walker were "predicted" to have arrived with barely lasted a few months
I love Jace and Baela so much. Harrenhal is messing with Daemon but even Viserys said that Daemon is reckless and a big problem with him is that he does wanton violence. Also... he gave the order to kill any Hightowert before even coming to Harrenhal so his judgmental call here tracks with what we know about him so it's not fair to say that it's only Harrenhal doing this to him when dude is just a mess in general.
regardless of which side you're one this is such a stupid thing for team green to do. dragons represent the power of house targaryen. parading the dead symbol of your house for the realm just shows the lack of respect they have for their own history and legacy. @CinemaGek Hi guys! Ya’ll are really perceptive and pick on some very good points that other people miss. Also, FYI, Jace’s dragon Vermax looked smaller in s1ep6 because it was just a baby back then and now has grown to be bigger (it’s bigger than Luke’s Arrax). It would almost be the same size as Baela’s Moondancer if not bigger. Secondly, yes Laenor had a dragon and that was Seasmoke - we saw Laenor assist Daemon with Seasmoke in the Stepstones. We see it again flying over Adam of Hull on the beach. Lastly, yes presumably Vhagar used to look like what Carter described in its youth when it was also a bit smaller. Now with age (it’s almost a 180 years old), it has lost its horns and become less sharper looking and become leathery. Almost all dragons, as time passes, grow larger and bigger depending upon their diet etc. Vhagar’s the largest cause she’s the oldest.
She treated Aegon like she hated him. In that scene a few episodes ago when he was crying, she chose to not comfort him and went to smash Cole instead. Also the things she said to him last episode were harsh and not the words of a mother who loves her son. Rhaenyra would never treat her babies like that. Alicent definitely holds resentment towards Aegon and she thinks Aemond is a monster
This is the first episode where we might actually miss Otto Hightower. COLE is the one who had Meleys' head dragged around the city- but COLE is not good at politics. When Otto had the babe taken around the city it generated SYMPATHY. When they drug the dragon head out what was their goal? no idea but it completely missed and it generated FEAR in the people that Rhaenyra would respond with more dragons. That is why so many people are trying to get out of kings landing.
Vhagar is identical in size to Balerion during the dance. Vhagar is him (ik shes a girl) as far ss history goes, Vhagar fought more battles, killed more dragons and belonged to most BADASS CHARACTER IN THE FRANCHISE, Queen Visenya the warrior queen
Watching jack react to GOT and HOTD is making me understand why some people can watch something and have a completely skewed view on what actually happens.
Alys Rivers is manipulating Daemon's dreams, for sure. I suspect she is working with Larys Strong to weaken Daemon and divide the Blacks. Larys knows her, for sure, and knows what she is capable of, the power she holds. The book yells us she was a milkmaid to Larys and Harwin. Some even say she was a milkmaid to their father and his father before him. She is, according to the show, 400 years old. So thats my theory. Alys is working with Larys to weaken Daemon and divide the Blacks. Daemon doesnt see what he is doing as going against Rhaenyra. He's gathering an army in her name, but Alys is bringing out his deepest darkest guilts and feelings.
I might be tripping but I wonder if she's even "real" at all daemon is the only one that speaks to her and they're always alone when they do. Maybe I forgot a couple scenes were that wasn't the case. My theory is that daemon is the only one that sees her
@@mitchelwoods7387 oh, she's real. I don't know if you are familiar with the source material, but she has a greater role to play aside from this Daemon plot line. In fact, none of this particular plot line is in the source. In the books he goes to Harrenhal and meets her, but none of the dreams and hallucinations are recorded in the histories.
"Why is he going against Rhaenyra?" Well, considering he killed his first wife and loves to talk down women, Daemon is not exactly an example of a good husband 😅
The storyline involving Daemon and Alys Rivers, particularly the supernatural elements at Harrenhal, is both intriguing and well-executed. As a reader of the books, I find the portrayal of Alys Rivers by the actress to be exceptional. Her ability to hold her own alongside Matt Smith is impressive, and her performance effectively conveys the character's mysterious motivations and ambitions. This nuanced portrayal adds depth to the character, enhancing the overall narrative of the show. To be honest, there isn't much of a story in the book. The book version of the story is kinda boring actually.

Alicent doesn’t have the right to rule unless she’s married to a king. She can take the regency as queen mother if her son is underage or incapacitated like Aegon. Aemond is the next in line after his brother if he dies so it’s only right that he takes the regency, but it’s temporary until Aegon wakes up.

Listen, I get what you're saying but it is an unspoken rule that you should NEVER read comments if you haven't read the source material while the TV adaptation is still underway. So don't watch GoT either until HotD is officially over.)
Very good observation about Alicent and Aegon/ her children in general. Alicent literally hates her kids!! And she's so dumb dismissing Aegon like that when she could have gained his favor and respect and maybe leveraged more power that way. But no! She inadvertently triggers him to go to battle and now she has no power
Jace’s dragon at that size can still definitely do damage to the castle and kill many people. Especially if they aren’t equipped against a dragon, unexpectedly.

Yes, Daemon was having a sexual dream about his mother Alysssa Targaryean. As gross as that is. I think it disturbs him as well. She died when he was young. She praised him a lot and that's what's Daemon gets off on. He likes to be praised. At one time Rhanerya admired Daemon and basically worshipped him. She knew who he was and respected it, but as she grew older she came to see that she couldn't tame Daemon. He's too pigheaded and arrogant. I'm not saying he doesn't care, but he needs to humble himself and see that his last name and blood right alone isn't a ticket to getting what he wants. When the Brackens basically spit on his threat to either submit to him or burn it wounds his ego, but he also respects them. He wants people on his side that are stubborn. He doesn't want someone that will turn their cloak on him at the drop of the hat. But he really f's it up when he again leaves it in the hand of another to "take his meaning." Silverwing was Queen Alyssanes dragon. She was Jaeherys wife. Vermithor was Jaehaerys dragon. They were mated dragons and riderless after the passing of both. And yes, the Seasnake was Laenors dragon. They didn't show him on it a whole lot. Only really during the battle of the steps tones. There is also The Cannibal, Grey Ghost, and Sheepsteeler which are wild dragons that haven't had any riders yet.
Stupid that the show writers turned this into Aemond vs everyone else at this point. Dudes a badass character and the only one thinking about the war. But Rhaenyra is all in her destiny BS, Allicent is for the power and no one is even having a proper war with two sides lol
“No just bit into it, they definitely cut it off”. Lol. Try paying attention. After Meleys looks at Rhaenys and dies, the head detaches in Vhagars mouth, which is why Rhaenys begins to fall. Even as she falls you can see the body of Meleys has no head,
Can’t wait Vermithor & Silverwing to get in dis bicchhhh 🔥 🐉! Those 2 are the other oldest dragons with Vhagar. Vhagar was the only 1 of the 3 born on Valeriya but raised on Dragonstone. Luke and his dragon were chomped, Rhaenys and Meleys both died at the same time. Makes me think Sunfyre is still barely alive like Aegon

You mean Alyssa was Jaehaerys's eldest living daughter
Because before Alyssa, Alysanne and Jaehaerys had a daughter named Daenerys who died when she was only 6 due to a widespread fever
@sanjaykarthicks1226 - yeah but it isn't really important for them to know that. For simplicity I said she's their eldest daughter.
Omg do you think Rhaena will claim sheepstealer in the vale? Or is it just me
@@wxndxedit6151 I don’t think rhaena will claim sheepstealer, in the series rhaenyra said rhaena almost die trying to claim a dragon and they don’t want to risk that again. @@crystalboo5213 look at the trailer and the teaser for ep 6, she is seen as shock outside of the Eyrie and Sheepstealer is frequently seen at the vale stealing sheeps. I don't know how he predicted that, it's not like that thing never happened in other shows but to think of that in live action is crazy
Yeay! He buzzed his head...a man of his word. LOL
Daemon’s not going crazy. Harrenhall is cursed and also that woman Alys has a part to play as well.
And these things are… driving him crazy 😂
@@brigandrus Cannon said crazy as in Crazy like Azula. I don’t think he’s literally going insane. Is it annoying? Yeah. But he’s not going insane.
27:45 yeah, that would be very epic :)
If only they knew 😂
I love Jace and Baela so much. Harrenhal is messing with Daemon but even Viserys said that Daemon is reckless and a big problem with him is that he does wanton violence. Also... he gave the order to kill any Hightowert before even coming to Harrenhal so his judgmental call here tracks with what we know about him so it's not fair to say that it's only Harrenhal doing this to him when dude is just a mess in general.

THE PREDICTION LMAOO
Alicent doesn't despise her children. Just because she's a bad mother doesn't mean she hates them lol

As soon as Otto got banished it all went to shit for team green

aegon says Mummy in the end
Everybody got a haircut.
@@mitchelwoods7387 I don't, however, think the scene with the Riverlords was real.

But he really f's it up when he again leaves it in the hand of another to "take his meaning."
Silverwing was Queen Alyssanes dragon.
