I would not even say they were midcard wrestlers. I think they were ranked lower than that.
When they formed together as Too Cool, they became so over to the point, they were getting better reactions than some of the upper card talents.

One of the strengths of the peak attitude era was that everyone on the card had an angle that they were involved in. Each wrestler had a story and there was a reason for each match. Anymore you can tell when two people are thrown together because creative just needs something for them to do.

@@dcon8590 100% i've said this for so long about current era WWE. I think a lot of the current problems stem from their biggest draws being part timers who only turn up for big PPV events. So the main events have basically no build up to why they are happening but they are hoping these big names pull in some casual viewers. Every time i've watched one of the major PPVs in the hope that something has changed its the same rubbish predictable nonsense (plus far too much women's wrestling) - they had two part timers win the Royal Rumbles last year ensuring that Wrestlemania's main event would have practically zero build up and also 3 times the same 2 wrestlers headlined Wrestlemania (really!?). Until they accept that a step backwards and away from these top draw part timers is required, even with the loss of revenue that would ultimately cause, they won't ever recover to be clear top dogs. If I was a wrestler coming up, I'd be staying well clear of the WWE as they aren't interested in building up their talent and playing the long game.
