Always rooting for Aldis. Seems like a genuinely great person, and definitely a great actor. It's CRAZY he was only in 3 episodes as "Voo Doo"! His impact definitely feels stronger than that, and that's absolutely a huge credit to him. Loving this podcast and the interviews
My sister lived in Texas for 5 years, born and raised in California. She has seen an episode or two but didn’t watch it and every time I tell her you have to watch it it’s so good, she says…i lived it it’s exactly like that lol 😂😂
I have to comment the next episode! The part where Saracen goes to Coach's house and says "I think I got confused about doing what was right for the team.....and what was right!" Damn, that struck me all those years ago and rewatching today struck me again! Oh my! What a moment! I can remember how I felt the first time I heard that! That's amazing writing! Love the podcast and loved the show! (many times I might add!)
ALDIS is amazing. Articulate, smart and authentic, love this interview. It would have been interesting to see the long term effect Coach Taylor would have had on Voodoo if given a chance.
I always envisioned that Voodoo probably got caught up in recruiting violations and ultimately never played beyond high school. But then maybe becoming a coach wherever he ended up settling down.
I got to go to the new Cowboys Stadium in 2012 and I Tebowed on the star and the security guard came up to me and I thought he was gonna yell said did it come out good and proceeded to show me a picture of him Tebowing on it and said people always used to want do The Terrell Owens pose on it and now they all do The Tim Tebow pose 😂
Aldis is amazing on and off the camera..especially here, I’d love to see him regularly on podcasts…his survival mode bit was very relatable
The screen presence Aldis had the second he first appeared on the show is crazy
Yep. His demeanor and attitude was just so perfect for the story arc he had. Played it to perfection
He really did. Awesome performance
First know him from Leverage
His mean mug was perfect. He really made me hate Voodoo.
I loved the 'arranged marriage' scene with Voodoo & Coach Taylor.

Aldis is amazing. I didn’t realize how many things I knew him from. Wish he was on the show longer 💙
I love the regular re-watch episodes but the interviews…this is my jam
Really loved this one. Could listen to Aldis speak all day, so many insightful perspectives offered. So glad for all of his success 🙌
Great actor
Amazing Podcast!! Aldis Hodge continues to be an amazing actor and person
Love seeing him succeed
Voodoo was my favorite character. I wish they had kept him on the show longer
“I don’t like the food, I don’t like the music…” 😂 the anti-Texas rant was hilarious
that moment made voodoo my favourite character lol, i get it was used to make people have a bad taste for voodoo but it did the opposite for me.
Love how he just point blank says it to him 😂
That scene when he told Coach Taylor that he's not here to make friends was riveting. I knew he was gonna go on to be star
My favorite episode so far! Aldis is so genuine and is a true master of his craft.
The hype!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥 this podcast getting good keep up the good work y’all 😎💪🏾

Love that part too
Aldis was in my other favorite show of all time, Leverage, and seeing his success is so cool and it's so great to see him here.
11 mins in Best episode yet!:)Clear Eyes....Full Hearts....
Can't Lose.
Can’t lose!!!
Yo Gilford is so damn humble. Just look at him during this whole interview
Yea seems like a real down to earth dude. He was solid on that midnight mass show
I feel like he’s basically Matt Saracen in real life 😂
This has been the best episode yet!
Aldis is an amazing actor! I love him, and his energy.
he really played voodoo and mc ren perfectly. severely underrated actor.
Gambit, Killmonger, and Hawkman we’re all coached by Coach Taylor 😂
Love when ya'll just talk about the show.
Wow, that was awesome. Aldis is definitely a presence. What an interesting man. Great podcast
I’m so happy him on here. Great actor
Also yes! Limited Series Reboot would be so lovely! All of the storytelling! We did say Texas *Forever* right? ❤🎉
can't wait for the kyle and connie episode(s)
Ahh I could listen to him all day ❤
Omg I love him! He is so different from voodoo what a talent ❤
ALDIS is amazing. Articulate, smart and authentic, love this interview. It would have been interesting to see the long term effect Coach Taylor would have had on Voodoo if given a chance.
I remember watching Black Adam and being like I’ve seen this guy before and then rewatched Friday Night Lights and was like it’s Voodoo 😂
Buddy Garrity talking to coach about Voo Doo is classic
Voodoo hating Texas speech with Coach Taylor was so memorable
I love him in Leverage
Aldis Hodge is amazing
Congrats on getting aldis for this. I really thought he'd be busy during his episodes
Loved Voodoo, but my fav Hodge line is , age of the geek baby!!😅
Great podcast
Voodoo need to be a guest more often glad yll haddem on great episode and I'd def watch a Friday night lights reboot with coach tatum
I always envisioned that Voodoo probably got caught up in recruiting violations and ultimately never played beyond high school. But then maybe becoming a coach wherever he ended up settling down.
I thought plaxico burress of new york Giants played ray tatum
I would love to see the actor who played Santiago on here. Loved his story, then poof gone...haha
Aldis is should be the next Black Panther!
Why are these podcasts so short? So good tho!
VooDoo is like Vince Howard if he kept listening to his dad
When voodoo said permiate it made me think of the Permian panthers
He was on an episode of Bones too
I got to go to the new Cowboys Stadium in 2012 and I Tebowed on the star and the security guard came up to me and I thought he was gonna yell said did it come out good and proceeded to show me a picture of him Tebowing on it and said people always used to want do The Terrell Owens pose on it and now they all do The Tim Tebow pose 😂
Great episode 👍
Great episode once again! 🏈 I did miss Mae though! 😇
Im surprised this man even had the time to even do this podcast especially where he is at with his career. I’m he even remembers
Aldis Hodge was great on City on a Hill
Wish we woulda got one Sesame Street question! 😂
Aldis Hodge should have been cast as T'Challa/Black Panther
He would be great in MCU
Did good in that football prison movie
Quarterback? I thought he was supposed to be Derwin on the Game
Friday Night Lights reboot could have Voodoo return with a high school aged son playing quarterback Voodoo Jr 😂
"Got my Voooodoo working"
I hear that in Buddy’s voice 😂
"Hey, Doodoo" lol
Jason Street was Voodoo’s agent when he made NFL
Kyle Chandler and Aldis Hodge should do a movie together or have him show up on Kingstown
Coach Tatum would be interesting
What do u guys think happen to voodoo after high school?
Definitely NFL. He was a bad guy but a great talent.
I feel like he played college and maybe a little NFL but I could see him being in Arena League
Think if Michael B was there too.
I wish Voodoo would’ve returned again on the show even as a one off
I will buy gilford a new outfit
Can we start a go fund me?
@@katiem.1420 yes
Is this filmed in Los Angeles because I will literally camp outside the studio to give him a new sweatshirt.
LETS GO!!!!
how didnt he know about the MLK Blvd rule?
The Original Derwin Davis on The Game / Girlfriends … Netflix
Portland was unique
Who do y’all think intimidated Saracen more? Voodoo or JD McCoy?
His father.
Voodoo
JD McCoy was just an entitled kid, VooDoo even intimated Coach Taylor 😂
Coach Tatum
Let's Fucking Go!:)
GREAT interview! Surprised the subject of Voodoo using a racial slur (w*tback) wasn't brought up.
I’m uncle Al to his kids 😂
I loved and hated Voodo, He could've been a great addition to Dillion if he wasn't soo hardheaded
Ray Voodoo Tatum
Her?!?
Harrison
Hawkman
Voodoo is a real person lol
Acting is hard 😂
Voodoo was a pos teammate but a great actor!
