Hello! Okay, so there can be a lot of things that contribute to hypnosis not "working" but most of it is not really being sure what to expect "trance" to feel like. I used to think I was a bad subject because I couldn't really achieve a trance state, until I realized what trance was like. The best way someone made me realize I experience it in real life, is "Highway hypnosis" which is when you are driving a car to some place you are familiar with, and when you arrive you realize you have no recollection of the trip to get there. That is a form of trance. I do think that the language may be a bit of a barrier, but if you are fluent in English it shouldn't be too much of a problem. When you hear a word you do not understand, you probably should try not to fixate on that during the hypnosis. If you can tell yourself something like "every time I hear a word I don't know, I will just focus harder on the ones I do know, and sink more deeply" which is a sort of self-hypnosis technique you could implement. Hypnosis is different for everyone and can take a lot of practice to figure out. I would say don't give up, and just go easy on yourself! There is no right or wrong way to experience trance, and some people are just really good at being susceptible. Try some simple audios and see if you can just sort of sink into them. I also think about how when I'm reading a good book I lose all thoughts of anything else, and am just absorbed in the story, another sort of trance. If you are over 18 there is a whole community on reddit of people who are interested in hypnosis for kink purpose (r/erotichypnosis) ...but if you are not, you should stay away from there until you are (and my channel honestly) 🤭💖 It should be fun, remember that.
